Abstract

The Extension of labor duration is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Prenatal exercises have proven a positive effect on labor but still very low level of effectiveness against the labor duration. Salat has proven a positive effect on fitness, healthy and has a rehabilitative effect. Maryam Prenatal is a modification of prenatal basic exercise with postural bowing, sitting and prostrating like salat in Islam with dzikr. This systematic review aims to assess the effect of Maryam Prenatal on the labor duration. The systematic literature search with study criteria that examined physical exercise and salat for labor or health was carried out on the Pubmed, ScienceDirect and researchgate databases. Study quality was assessed by a tool of standard quality assessment of the quantitative study (QATQS). This review received 4 intervention studies, 1 retrospective, and 4 observational studies. 5 articles showing positive results on reducing the labor duration and 4 articles on salat show positive results to the health. Our overall conclusion that the hypothesis of Maryam Prenatal positive effect on the labor duration with an increase in the effect size. Therefore, we recommend further research that considers the influence of Maryam Prenatal as new method pregnancy exercise on labor duration.

Abstract

The burn is a type of tissue damage or injury caused by contact with very high-temperature substances (for instance: fire, hot water, chemical element, electricity, and radiation) or deficient substances. Burn healing can be done by giving proper burn treatment and observing patient nutritional status. The study aimed to examine the relationship between nutritional status, burn degree, and wound treatment towards burn healing process in patients with burn injury at two public hospitals in Medan City. It was a quantitative study with correlational design. The research samples comprised of patients with second-degree burn (Grade II) and third-degree burn (Grade III), with the total number of participants was 45 who were selected through accidental sampling technique. By employing Pearson statistical calculation, it was obtained that the p-value was <0.005 on nutritional status, burn degree, and burn to heal. Based on logistic regression analysis, it was obtained that the order of factors that affected the burn healing process from the most to the least dominant one was nutritional status, burn treatment, and burn degree. This study also found that there was a significant correlation between nutritional status, burn degree, and burn treatment toward burn healing. Therefore, it is suggested that health practitioners could be mindful of patients' nutritional status, burn degree, and burn treatment to accelerate the burn healing process. Abstract

High rates of high-risk pregnancies, neonatal deaths and developmental disorders are health problems that must be prevented. Special stimulation and touch fetal stimulation is a natural way that can be done to prevent death and prevent fetal development. This action secretes receptors and the central nervous system to secrete endorphins and increase circulation for increased movement and heart rate for the dynamic balance of the pacemaker. The aim of the study was to prove the difference between speech stimulation, touch and combination in increasing fetal heart rate and movement. The study design was a quasi experimental pre-test and post-test with three intervention groups, namely the stimulation group of speech, touch and combination with 10 respondents in each group. The analysis was done by one way ANOVA. The results of one method showed no significant difference in effectiveness between the three types of stimulation. The conclusion of the study is that stimulation of speech, touch and combination are equally effective in increasing fetal heart rate and movement. This study discusses the stimulation of conversation, touch and combination that is carried out as an independent intervention of normal pregnant women and high risk in maintaining and improving fetal well-being.

Abstract

Medical services salary received by doctors at Imelda General Hospital were considered to be lacking, which resulted in the doctor's dissatisfaction. The less perception about the distribution of BPJS patient medical services seen from the results of the doctor's performance evaluation in December 2017 decreased from 80% to 76.3%. The study aimed to examine the relationship between perceptions about the distribution of the amount of medical services and job satisfaction. The cross-sectional study design was applied in this study. The study conducted at the Imelda Workers’ Hospital. Sixty-two samples consisted of 48 specialists, and 14 general practitioners were involved in this study. We use total sampling to take 62 samples, analysis using chi-square by collecting data through questionnaires. The results showed there was a relationship between the distribution of the number of medical services (p = 0.025) and the timeliness of receiving medical services BPJS patients (p = 0.015) with doctor job satisfaction (p <0.05). Perceptions about the distribution of the amount of medical services and the timeliness of receiving medical services from BPJS patient services that are not by the doctor's perception will decrease the performance of doctors as is done periodically by the Imelda Hospital medical committee team. Doctor's job satisfaction can be increased by the management's efforts to be more open to doctors regarding doctor's medical services, allowing doctors to improve their career paths, and conducting periodic evaluations of doctor satisfaction through questionnaires.
