Abstract

Research on self-disclosure in online network interactions is still interesting to study, especially at this time following the times where our lives depend on technology and currently we are still in the covid-19 pandemic. This paper aims to provide a broader picture and knowledge related to self-disclosure in online networks as well as the depth and breadth of a relationship in communication in Social Penetration Theory. The research method used is a literature review approach. The results of the study found that self-disclosure can occur in online interaction networks that are not only superficial but also deep in their relationship to seek intimate relationships in interpersonal communication. The hope of this paper is that it can provide a scientific contribution that self-disclosure in online interactions can also be carried out in depth even though it is not done face-to-face because in essence humans are social creatures who need to interact and be close

Abstract

Analogue switch-off (ASO) is the process of breaking off an analogue television signal so that digital transmission is completely adopted. Indonesia is currently struggling to move to a total ASO across the country to reap the social and economic benefits of digital conversion. This research specifically uses descriptive research to provide a detailed description of a particular phenomenon. This digitization of television broadcasting can drive better innovation, job creation, productivity and competitiveness, allocating the digital dividend to mobile communications will drive internet adoption and have a huge lucrative economic impact.

Abstract

Abstract Internet use among adolescents, especially junior high school is very risky. Children of this age often assume that the virtual world they use is the same as the real world. The act of insulting or ridiculing on social media is an act that is often known as cyberbullying. The research approach used in this study was a qualitative approach, in which researchers conducted interviews with informants from junior high school youth. This research method uses the spiral silence theory which aims to find out information about the occurrence of cyberbullying on TikTok, the responses of victims of bullying, and analyzing existing data. Cyberbullying is a form of behavior that is carried out by a person when he feels that he is superior in several ways so that he dares to take hurtful actions both physically and mentally, where the application is usually carried out on TikTok. This action comes from the aggressive attitude or apathy of individuals who feel superior so they consider other individuals weak or inferior. The psychological and emotional impact of cyberbullying can trigger the victim's mental shock. However, cyberbullying has the potential to cause more depressive disorders because this bullying material or information will be stored and spread quickly on the internet and can leave digital footprints, anytime and anywhere. As a good internet user and wise in using social media, you should be able to control yourself to not take actions that harm other people. Comments especially on someone whether intentionally or not because all of that can have fatal consequences in the future. With this, junior high school teenagers still need supervision from parents, in which the role of parents is to keep an eye on all their actions, especially those who are moving into junior high school teenagers. Abstract

Conveying information needs digitally, of course, must have effects that can help consumers to get information, especially about health, so this research was conducted to find out the Communication Effectiveness of Yakes Telkom's Corporate Communication Unit through Social Media on Consumer Information Needs. By having a research objective to obtain the level of strength of the relationship between the independent variables, namely the effectiveness of communication and social media on the dependent variable, namely information needs. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive analysis research types. For sampling, the non-probability sampling method was used with 357 consumers of Yakes Telkom. The analysis technique used by the researcher is descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. From the results of hypothesis testing, the effectiveness of communication and social media has a significant influence on consumer information needs. This is evidenced by the partial results of the Hypothesis Test (T-test) and it is found that the effectiveness of communication has a significant effect on information needs besides that social media also influences consumer information needs. The results of the test for the coefficient of determination show that the overall data for the two variables of communication effectiveness and social media have a fairly good influence on the variable consumer information needs. This study concludes that the two variable aspects have a good influence on the information disseminated by the Yakes Telkom Corporate Communications Unit. Abstract

Aksi Cepat Tanggap or abbreviated as ACT is one of the largest philanthropic institutions in Indonesia. During ACT's development, Bareskrim Polri suspects that there was a misuse of aid funds made by ACT for the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash in 2018. These findings were conveyed by the police after the Financial Analysis and Transaction Reporting Center or PPATK stated that there was a myriad of financial problems at ACT. This study uses a quantitative approach, with data collection methods using questionnaires. The sampling technique for this study used a census technique so that the population, as well as the sample for this study, were 106 Instagram followers @beritasatu who liked the post entitled "Polri Investigate Allegations of Misappropriation of Funds at ACT" which was uploaded on July 9, 2022. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that exposure to Instagram social media @beritasatu has a positive and significant effect on the interest in donating Instagram followers @beritasatu to philanthropic institutions. The relationship between media exposure and intention to donate was also stated to be strong. Calculation of the value of the coefficient of determination or R2 produces several 0.942. This means that media exposure has an influence of 94.2 percent on the interest in donating. While the remaining 5.8 percent is the contribution of other variables besides media exposure.

Abstract

The festival is one of the activities aimed at preserving a culture. There are many different cultural festivals in Indonesia, including the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF), which is a major annual event. This festival showcases the beauty of flowers and ornamental plants from all over Indonesia and from other countries as well. The purpose of this research is to analyze the symbols and meanings such as flowers, traditional clothing, dance, and music that are used to strengthen local identity and provide a unique experience for visitors. The methodology used in this research is a case study conducted on the festival held in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observation of several individuals involved in the event, such as visitors, participants, and organizers. The results show that TIFF has various cultural symbols and meanings that represent the identity of Tomohon City. Symbolic interactionism communication at the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) also creates a positive atmosphere and strengthens social relationships among them. It can be concluded that symbolic interactionism communication plays a significant role in understanding social interaction in the context of a festival. Abstract

The increasing use of Instagram social media as a media promotion has made content creators have to compete so that their content continues to attract audiences. Suara Telfon offers content marketing service on their own Instagram account @suaratelfon with 200K followers as of May, 2023. This research aimed to (1) discover and define the implementation of content marketing strategy of Suara Telfon on building Avoskin’s brand awareness, (2) what factors could support and hinder the content marketing creation. The theory and concept used in this research are planning theory, content marketing concept by Kotler, and brand awareness. The research method is using qualitative research. The data are collected by qualitative interview and observation. The result of this research showed that the implementation of content marketing strategy by Suara Telfon is based on the 8 steps of content marketing by Kotler. They are goal setting, audience mapping, idea and content planning, content making, content distribution, content amplification, content evaluation, and content improvement. Suara Telfon conducted research on Instagram’s audience and algorithm that changes dynamically. Suara Telfon’s content marketing strategy has also succeeded on building Avoskin’s brand awareness at the brand recall level.

Abstract

Ciburial Village developed an information system through social media as a medium for disseminating village information. The social media that are actively managed by Ciburial Village consist of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Pinterest. Information management on social media brought Ciburial Village as the first winner of the Best Social Media Management in West Java at the Jabar Juara Award event in 2020. This study aims to reveal the competence of data and information literacy of ciburial village government officials and information community groups. The research method used is qualitative with case studies. The primary data collection technique is through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and focuses group discussions, while secondary data is obtained through literature studies of books, journals, archives or village government documents, and internet searches. The data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman model and data triangulation is carried out by triangulation of data, source, and time as a data validity technique. The results of the study show that data literacy competence is shown in the expertise of ASN and Ciburial Village Information Community Groups in activating social media to support the expansion of village information dissemination. Information needs are adjusted to the needs of the community, namely village activities and the potential of the village as a tourist village. The evaluation carried out is to evaluate the activity of the community in accessing Instagram, because there are still many people who have not fully accessed social media. Abstract

Human life cannot be separated from the relationship with its environment. The need for relationships requires the creation of understanding in each particular behavior. However, it turns out that it is not easy to create understanding between individuals. The increasingly complex needs of human life are one of the obstacles to establishing interpersonal communication, making it difficult to achieve good relationships. Therefore, it requires individuals to review the person they are talking to or orient themselves after carrying out social interactions. This research focuses on the influence of social interaction and individual orientation in terms of inclusion, control and affection using the Fundamental Theory of Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO). Based on research and exploring the relationship between variables, researchers involved 51 respondents who qualified as generation Z with ages 18-25 years and came from various regions in Indonesia. The analysis states that there is a correlation between the influence of social interaction and individual orientation on the friendship relationships that Generation Z currently has.

Abstract

Tahu Sumedang is a food product that is not only known in Sumedang Regency, but is known throughout the country. Tahu Bungkeng is a pioneer of Tahu Sumedang which has been established since 1917. Tahu Bungkeng is a food company managed by the Ong family. The method used by researchers is qualitative, allowing researchers to explore the research subject in depth and understand the wider context. and data collection techniques by conducting interviews and direct observation. This research will explain in detail why the Bungkeng Family Business was able to survive for four generations and still exists today. The family business communication strategy is carried out primarily in determining who will be the successor to continue the family business relay. This research concludes that the Tahu Bungkeng business communication strategy that is still being implemented today is still very effective in being implemented in the family business journey. AIDA theory is a theoretical approach used by researchers to measure the extent to which this family business communication strategy is able to survive and develop its business. Customer loyalty is also very important in a business context because it has a significant positive impact. It turns out that loyal consumers have been buying Tahu Bungkeng products for a very long time, some have even reached the next generation, meaning that Tahu Bungkeng is able to maintain consistent product and service quality so that it is still very popular with consumers.
