Abstract

This research is conducted based on the problems of Grade VIII students in Junior High School 1 Tembilahan, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir where the learning result of the students is low, physical fitness, and the Physical, Sport and Health Education’s infrastructures and motivation which less than good. The purpose of this research is to discover the significant contribution between physical fitness, infrastructures and learning motivation altogether to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education of Grade VIII students in Junior High School 1 Tembilahan, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. This research uses a quantitative approach, namely correlation research (Correlational Research). The study population is 382 students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan. The sample of this research is 80 students who obtained by using simple random sampling. The data were collected by conducting tests on samples. Physical fitness data obtained by TKJI, learning motivation data obtained by questionnaire dispersion and infrastructure facilities obtained questionnaire and observation. While the data of the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education. To calculate the amount of contribution used Formula Index Determinasi, that is r2 x 100%. According to the analysis 1) The physical fitness is related to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Educationrxy=0.448, and contributes by 20%. 2) The Infrastructures is related to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education rxy=0.325, and contributes by 10.5%. 3) the learning motivation is related to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education rxy=0.353, and contributes by 12.4%. 4) The physical fitness, infrastructures, and learning motivation is related to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education rxy=0.574, and contributes, altogether, by 32.95 to the learning result of Physical, Sport and Health Education.

Abstract

The increasing number of students who enroll the Visual Art Department from year to year opens opportunities for increased art activities in Fine Arts. This increasing lead to activity as the core provision for prospective art teachers. Unfortunately, only few students who take advantage of this valuable moment as an effort to explore their future career. This phenomenon is important to be follow up as a consideration, due to opportunities for future students to run the business, becoming an artist, or even a curator. With such open chance career span they may live, basically when they are study in S1 Visual Arts, all of their knowledge and skills must be obtained from lecturers theoretical and practical. Lecturers are required to develop a suitable learning model, approach, instructional media, learning strategies, as well as reliable visual arts learning techniques. This theoretical paper will explore and summary several findings done by the expert and researcher (lecturers) about preparing instructional technology of its development for prospective art teachers in junior high school, high school/vocational school level. Finally, the paper describe how can students and lecturer gain beneficial from art activities carry on each semester.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the difference effect of the method circuit training and interval training on the ability of long passing SSB Asam Pulau, Kecamatan 2 X 11 Kayu Tanam, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This research type is quasi experiment with research design which used is two group pre test and post test group design. Sampling technique in this research use purposive sampling. Long passing data was measured using Bobby Charlton's long passing test. Data Analysis Technique used to test the hypothesis is by t test analysis. The result of data analysis shows that: 1) There is a difference in the effect of the ability of long passing better, after given circuit training method, 2) There is difference of influence of long passing ability better, after given interval training method, 3) No significant difference at long passing ability, after being given circuit training method and interval training method.

Abstract

The research was due to Indonesian students’ literacy in mathematics was unsatisfying according to Programme for International Student Assessment. The aim of this research was to gain needs and context analysis, and literature review which based on the prominence to develop a learning model. This research belonged to descriptive study. Based on data analyzed, the findings revealed that 1.The average value of students' mathematical literacy was 31.87 be classified into low category; 2.The assessment instruments was far from the mathematical literacy; 3.The realistic mathematics education approach ever developed by the researcher in learning mathematics had not been combined with the concept of literacy; 4.The teachers needed the learning models that could improve students' mathematical literacy; 5.The students wanted contextual learning, 6) most students liked reading with audio learning styles; 7.The curriculum content which had to appropriate with the development of this model was the Linear Equation System of Two Variable; 8.The main concept was the general form of Linear Equation System of Two Variables, solution with graph, substitution and elimination. Based on these findings, the researcher needed to develop mathematics learning model based on realistic mathematical education and literacy in junior high school.

Abstract

This research is done due to students’ low learning motivation. Self- regulated and student perception regarding parents’ social support are factors suspected influence students learning motivation. This research aims at describing and testing: (1) self-regulated learning, the student’ perception about their parents’ social support and learning motivation, (2) the correlation of self-regulated learning and their perception saperately toward the students’ learning motivation, and (3) the correalation of the students’ self-regulated learning and perception together toward their learning motivation. This research applied the correlational descriptive type of the quantitative method. The population of this research were 996 students of Senior High School 1 Sutera Pesisir Selatan. The sample were 283 students that were chosen by using proportional random sampling tecnique. The instrument of the research was the Likert scala model. were analysed by using the descriptive statistics as well as simple and multiple regressions. This discover reseach show: that the students’ self-regulated leaning was in the “good” category while their perception about their parents’ social supports was in the “positive” category and their learning motivation was in the “high” category. Second, there was a correlation of self-regulated learning and their perception separately toward the students’ learning motivation. Third, there was a correlation of the students’ self-regulated learning and perception together toward their learning motivation. Those result can be implied as a student-need analysis to design the guidance and counseling service program at the school.

Abstract

This study is based on the fact that the quality and competitiveness of vocational education graduates are still low. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of vocational education by observing the relevance of the content with the issue or potential of the region( local area). This study uses a policy evaluation method formulated in the form of Service Quality (ServQual) by taking all vocational schools in 6 (six) sample districts/cities. The research instrument used is in-depth interview and document studies. The data were then analyzed using Location Quotient (LQ), growth ratio (MRP), and Overlay analysis. The results show that the content of vocational education reflected in the competence of skills developed was not relevant to the issues or potential of each district/city. This condition causes the low competitiveness of vocational education graduates, both in entrepreneurship and competing in the national and international labor market.

Abstract

Padang City is a city of solid education will be a lot of services like Laundry. The entrepreneurs have social capital in maintaining the business that is run in Padang Barat Sub-district, Padang City. 1) The impact of social capital utilization. The type of research used qualitative research with descriptive method. Through the technique of selecting informants with purposive sampling. Data were collected by participant observation, interview, and documentation study methods. Analyzed by Miles and huberman Methods The business capital of laundry entrepreneurs in maintaining the laundry business by establishing: 1) activities such as laundry clothes. 2.The backlinks also have a very helpful role in making this enduring business known as symbiosis mutualism or mutual benefit.3.Trust or trust that addresses customer satisfaction in practical and efficient washing, especially padang city as the center of all activities.

Abstract

This research discusses how the communists enter the Padang Panjang city which is very famous for its Islam and is the first place of Islamic modification in Sumatra. And how these communist figures influenced the people and santri of Sumatra Thawalib and saw how these communist propagandists took action in exploiting the mass media to convey their ideas. This research uses historical research method with steps (1) Heuristik that is searching and collecting information obtained as data source . (2) Criticism of the source is done by testing the authenticity and kesahihhan data. (3) Conducting analysis and interpretation of data. (4) Histotography of the presentation of research results. This study aims to see how the communists enter Padang Panjang and are accepted by the fanatical community of Islam. The study shows that in the 20th century the communists entered Padang Panjang city which is very famous for its Islamic interest is that this communist understanding was brought by a religious teacher in Sumatra Thawalib and adopted by his santrinya they regard unis in accordance with the teachings of Islam which they call the science kuminih.

Abstract

Social media is now familiar to users of the internet in the World. The tendency of teenagers now who was gathered with friends or family will be busy with social media without any communication in the circle. The behavior that individuals were caused by the difficulty of individuals controlling themselves in playing social media and the lack of individuals in social skills. The study aims to determine the contribution of self-control and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction, especially in high school students. This research uses the quantitative method with correlational descriptive. The sample in this research is 290 students using purposive sampling. The research instrument uses self-control instruments, social skills and social media addiction tendency using polytomy data with a Likert scale model. The results showed that there was a significant contribution between self-control and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction to students. The level of significance of self-control contributions and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction is at a moderate level.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the effect of motivation, leadership and comitment of the principal to the teacher performance at Junior High School. The research data was obtained by using questionnaire from 65 teachers. The results showed that (1) the teacher's performance was high, (2) The motivation of principal was high enough, (3) The leadership of the principal was enough, (4) The commitment of principal was high enough, (5) The motivation of principal had positive and significant effect to the teacher performance, (6) The leadership of principal had a positive and significant effect to the teacher performance, (7) The commitment of principal had positive and significant effect to the teacher performance, and (8) The motivation, leadership, and commitment of principal simultaneously influenced the teacher performance.
