Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi is an academic journal that has been around since 2017. This journal then submitted an E-ISSN so that in 2018 it already has an electronic journal version that is still running today. Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Journal opens opportunities to collaborate with various professionals such as academics, researchers, archivists, documentaries, information managers, and the general public who have an interest in the field of Library and Information Science studies. Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi was developed by the Library Science Departement, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. This journal is published every year, namely in April and October. Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi is still accepting article manuscripts in Indonesian written format and manuscripts in English. Authors interested in publishing their scientific article manuscripts can read the scope of the theme disciplines published in this journal. Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi has used Turnitin support for plagiarism checking of all submitted article manuscripts. Tibanndaru: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi has also been equipped with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), making it easier for articles published in this journal to be indexed into several Indexing portals. Abstract

Purpose Research. The BI Corner is the gateway for information about the economy and BI's duties, GenBI is the long arm. The purpose of writing is to find out the participation of GenBI in the development of a digital-based BI Corner in the banking sector and the supporting factors that hinder it. Research Method. The research method is mixed methods, exploratory, action research. Collecting data by observation, interviews, FGD and documentation.  Results. GenBI's participation in efforts to develop BI Corner UNS, namely socialization, promotion on social media; Added a digital collection application; Provide e-journal website, e-book, QR Code; Digitize the GenBI final project; Collaborating GenBI-lecturers-users; Creating profile videos, selection of library ambassadors. Supporting factors are the availability of infrastructure; Leadership support; Modern design; free wifi; Availability of librarians; Ease of reading, borrowing collections. The inhibiting factor is that the collection is not up to date; Lack of care; There is no GenBI-Library collaboration, digital facilities and development plans; Management and utilization have not been maximized. Conclusions. The impact of GenBI's participation is to have a digital-based reading Corner; Improving branding, the welfare of the academic community, the community by implementing business practices; Raising awareness regarding digital collections in the banking sector, enhancing BI's positive image.

Abstract

One of the government's efforts to educate the public is through public libraries in the regions. In fact, there is still low interest in visiting the local public library. The low interest in visiting certainly needs to get attention from the government seeing the important role of the library in increasing people's intelligence. One of the solutions to increase visitor interest is to pay attention to the interior design of the library. Therefore researchers are interested in conducting research related to this. This research is important to do to understand how much influence the interior design of the library has on the visitor's interest in visiting. This research method is quantitative research. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. Sampling was carried out randomly to all users in the regional library of South Central Timor Regency with a total of 75 people using a regression study. Presentation of research results in the form of research results tables and interpretation of test results. Testing the research results using the help of the SPSS version 22.0 program. with the results of the final hypothesis testing, the results obtained are t count>t table, namely 8.441> 1.665. The results of this study state that the interior design of the regional library of South Central Timor Regency has a significant effect on the public's interest in visiting. Based on the results of the research, it is necessary to have a good and mature interior design from the government, in this case the regional library, to increase interest in visiting the community. Keywords: Design interior; Interest Visit; Regional Library.

Abstract

Improving students' reading interest is a crucial aspect that educational institutions must prioritize. Despite the prevalence of social media as a primary source of information for students, there is a tendency to overlook the importance of cultivating a reading culture. Purpose Research. This study explores strategies for enhancing students' reading interest through movie analysis assignments, focusing on a case study at SMP Negeri 1 Cigugur. Research Method: The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection through observation, interviews, and literature review. The study identifies factors contributing to the decline in students' reading interest. It proposes strategies for improvement through movie analysis assignments, using SMP Negeri 1 Cigugur as a case study. Results. The reading interest of students at SMP Negeri 1 Cigugur is significantly low. To address this issue, teachers implement a double-learning instructional strategy. This involves a movie analysis session and reading books relevant to the movie's content. The integrated learning strategy through movie analysis positively impacts students' reading interests. Furthermore, this approach indirectly imparts lessons on cinematography to the students. Keywords: Film Analysis, Integrated Learning, Reading Interest, Strategy.

Abstract

Purpose Research. The research objective was to identify the literacy skills of Merangin 53 Remote Junior High School students. Research Method. This study used a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis Data. The Spradley model was used in the analysis. The analysis steps consisted of determining participants, interviewing, making an ethnographic record, asking descriptive questions, analyzing the interviews, making a domain analysis, asking structural questions, making a taxonomic analysis, asking contrast questions, discovering cultural themes, and writing an ethnography Results. Literacy topics of Merangin 53 Junior High School students encompassed access to information, lack of literacy skills, literacy learning methods that rely on the teacher, guidance and mentoring, and literacy for effective school activity. Conclusions. Some topics collected from literacy skills included the influence of culture and the situation in the remote school. Some influences on literacy skills encompassed difficult access to roads, internet connections, transportation, and students' socioeconomic conditions. Keywords: Information literacy, remote school, Merangin

Abstract

Purpose Research. The development of libraries during the Islamic Daulah era grew rapidly, and this was inseparable from the role of the leaders of the state who had noble ideals by collecting research results from various philosophers. After the research was collected, they put the results or writings in the library. Therefore, this research aims to determine the role of libraries during the Islamic Daulah era because many works and activities were produced during this medieval era, and libraries developed as a center for study for scientists. Method. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method, which means that it uses the Naturalistic Inquiry method. Data Analysis. The data analysis method used is literature review. The method research action by examining sources related to the theme of this research until the concrete data will be found. Results and Discussions. Research result, 1) During the Umayyah period, it made a breakthrough by developing private libraries, but also developing public libraries, 2) in the Abasiyyah dynasty there were technical activities regarding libraries starting from procurement, processing library materials. 3) The existence of a conflict between the Umayyah dynasty and the Abbasid dynasty was not a problem for these two dynasties. Keywords: Library, library collaboration, Daulah Islam

Abstract

Understanding reading using the SQ4R method is one way to foster a reading culture and increase student literacy levels. Literacy culture must be developed to improve the literacy level of the community, especially students. By increasing literacy, one's expertise and knowledge can be implemented with creativity and innovation. Purpose Research. This article aims to discover the benefits of applying the SQ4R method in understanding reading to improve student skills and knowledge. Methods. The method used in this article is library research. Result. The results of the implementation of the SQ4R method in understanding reading are helpful for students in higher education, and this can be seen from the skill and knowledge of more developed students and experts in the fields studied so that student literacy skills can increase and students can be creative and produce innovation in their scientific fields.Keyword: Literacy,  SQ4R method, Understanding readings

Abstract

The low literacy of society, especially students in Indonesia, is a concern for the government. Literacy in schools involves the duties and responsibilities of teachers, government, families and society. Cultivating literacy involves students, education, educational staff and parents in practicing literacy as a habit at school. Strategies for realizing a culture of student literacy include strengthening the capacity of facilitators, creating a quality reading culture, expanding access to learning resources, involving the community, and strengthening governance. Student literacy culture can be realized with several strategies that must be implemented, the literacy program carried out by An-Nizam private middle school creates reading corners in every corner of the class, makes routine activities for various subjects scheduled and held in all classes for regular study visits to the school library, as well as celebrating language month is like holding a competition involving literacy activities. also created a project to strengthen the profile of pancasila students which aims to improve students' literacy competencies. the growth of students' literacy culture in the physical and affective environments needs to be accompanied by the implementation of learning strategies that strengthen students' literacy skills. Literacy skills are of course strengthened according to the stages of student literacy development.

Abstract

Purpose Research. The librarian profession has often been underestimated. Several studies regarding the media that represents librarians depict the profession negatively. Positive representation is needed to depict the ideal figure of a librarian to reduce the developing negative stereotypes of librarians. This research aims to identify the representation of librarians in the character Myne (Urano Motosu), the main character with a high librarian spirit who carries out her duties as a church librarian. Research Methods. The research method used is Roland Barthes' semiotics. Result.  This research shows that Myne's appearance as a librarian uses a vintage style, no glasses, and half-space bun hair. Myne is described as having a superior character as a librarian and can represent the ideal librarian figure. Myne's librarian's weakness is that she has low social experience. However, over time, he was able to adapt and finally eliminate these shortcomings.  Conclusions. Myne represents the ideal librarian so that librarians and librarian professional organizations can use her as a role model. Keywords: Representation; librarian; semiotics; anime

Abstract
