Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high frequency of disaster occurrences. The role of humanitarian volunteers in disaster management activities was very important. However, managing volunteers remained a major challenge for non-profit organizations such as the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). This study aimed to examine how volunteer management affected volunteers’ intention to continue, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable among PMI KSR volunteers in West Java. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that volunteer management had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, while organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on intention to continue as a volunteer. In contrast, volunteer management showed a negative direct effect on intention to continue as a volunteer. In addition, organizational commitment was proven to significantly mediate the relationship between volunteer management and intention to continue as a volunteer, indicating the presence of a competitive mediation effect. These findings emphasized the importance of strengthening organizational commitment as a key mechanism to enhance volunteer sustainability and improve the effectiveness of volunteer management practices in humanitarian organizations.

Abstract

Bond investors can calculate investment income on the funds invested in these bonds using a yield measurement tool. Yield is used, which is the primary metric investors use to assess investment profitability, aid decision-making, and assess potential risk. Bond yields and their movements reflect information about economic prospects, risks, and market functioning. This study aims to analyze the variables that influence the Indonesian 10-year government bond yield. Government bond yields are crucial economic indicators because they reflect market expectations for future growth, inflation, interest rates, and signaling economic health. Rising yields often suggest growth/inflation fears, while falling yields signal economic slowdown or demand for safety; the yield curve's shape is a powerful recession predictor. The independent variables that influence Indonesia's 10-year government bond yield analyzed in this study are inflation, the BI rate, CDS, Brent oil, the percentage change in the IDR/USD exchange rate, and the percentage change in the 10-year Treasury yield. Based on the regression analysis, this study can be concluded that the variables with positive significant effects are the BI rate, CDS, and Brent Oil, while Inflation has negative significant effects. However, the percentage change in the IDR/USD exchange rate and the percentage change in the 10-year Treasury yield did not significantly affect.

Abstract

The coretax system in Indonesia represents a significant change in tax administration, and user acceptance in a mandatory setting is a determinant of its success. This study aims to examine the influence of digital literacy and trust in tax authorities on Coretax system acceptance, with tax socialization effectiveness as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative causal-explanatory design, survey data from 150 individual taxpayers at KPP Pratama Malang Utara were analyzed via PLS-SEM. The findings indicate that digital literacy and trust in tax authorities do not affect coretax system acceptance. Nonetheless, both variables significantly influence tax socialization effectiveness. The most important factor that drives acceptance is tax socialization effectiveness, which enhances the relationship between taxpayer features and system adoption. The conclusion shows that in a mandatory digital environment, skills and trust alone are insufficient. Both have to be activated through the right socialization strategies for a successful implementation into the system.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social commerce platforms, particularly TikTok Shop, has increased the intensity of social media and smartphone use among Generation Z, which may lead to problematic patterns of digital behavior. This study aims to examine the role of satisfaction with life and fear of missing out (FOMO) as predictors of problematic social media use and problematic smartphone use among Generation Z TikTok Shop users. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving Generation Z respondents who actively use TikTok Shop. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that satisfaction with life has a significant effect on problematic social media use and problematic smartphone use, while fear of missing out (FOMO) is also found to have a significant effect on both forms of problematic digital behavior. These findings suggest that individual psychological well-being and digital motivational factors play an important role in shaping the intensity and patterns of social media and smartphone use among Generation Z. This study contributes theoretically to the understanding of psychological factors influencing problematic digital behavior and provides practical implications for enhancing digital well-being among social commerce platform users.

Abstract

Fisheries are a strategic sector in Indonesia and are often linked to the country’s blue economy agenda. Shrimp remains a major export commodity, where performance is influenced by managerial and policy factors such as product quality compliance and cold-chain readiness, which are frequently discussed in relation to rejection risks in destination markets. This study provides a forecasting-based input for business strategy and policy by developing a machine-learning model to project Indonesia’s shrimp export trends and linking the results to blue economy policy analysis. XGBoost, CatBoost, and LightGBM were compared to identify the most suitable model. XGBoost produced the best results, with RMSE 1.87, MAE 0.48, and R² 1.00. In the first quarter, export values peaked in January, and whiteleg shrimp (udang vaname) dominated exports. The findings indicate that forecasting can support more targeted export planning, including aligning quality control and cold-chain capacity with peak periods, strengthening market coordination, and improving trade cooperation. Overall, this study highlights how predictive insights can inform practical strategies and policy direction while remaining aligned with sustainable blue economy goals.

Abstract

Work discipline constitutes a fundamental element in ensuring the effectiveness and accountability of human resource management within higher education institutions. In developing academic units, inconsistencies in attendance patterns and working-hour compliance indicate that disciplinary behavior remains a managerial concern. At the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, fluctuations in digital attendance records and accumulated working-hour deficits suggest the need to examine behavioral and organizational determinants shaping employee discipline. This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, Work Culture, and leadership style on the work discipline of administrative staff, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach was employed using a saturated sampling technique involving all 45 administrative employees. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and supported by institutional attendance records. Instrument validity and reliability were confirmed before analysis, and multiple linear regression was applied to test the hypotheses. The findings reveal that motivation and Work Culture have positive and significant effects on work discipline, whereas leadership style does not show a significant partial effect. However, collectively, the three variables significantly explain variations in employee discipline. These results underscore the importance of strengthening motivational practices and cultivating a supportive Work Culture to foster sustainable disciplinary behavior in public higher education settings.

Abstract

Global competition in higher education demands optimal performance from all elements, including educational support staff as the operational backbone. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, human resource (HR) quality, and work discipline on the performance of educational support staff at Langlangbuana University (a private higher education institution in West Java). A quantitative approach with a survey method was used on 92 respondents (from a population of 118) selected through stratified random sampling. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and path analysis. The simultaneous test results show that the three independent variables have a significant effect on performance. Partially, HR quality has the most dominant influence, followed by organizational culture. The novelty of this study is that work discipline does not have a significant direct effect on performance, indicating that in the context of a private higher education institution, work discipline functions as a supporting variable whose influence is mediated by competence and culture. Managerial implications: universities should prioritize sustainable competency development programs, strengthen a collaborative-innovative culture, and revitalize the work discipline approach from a rigid model to an integrated coaching model linked with the performance appraisal system.

Abstract

This study examines whether digital social support (DSS) in fashion brand electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) communities influences consumers’ eudaimonic well-being (EWB). Grounded in Self-Determination Theory and Social Support Theory, the study positions meaning orientation (MO) as a mediator and online toxicity (OT) as a moderator. Digital trace data from 400 active consumers comprising 20,134 comments across three platforms (YouTube, Reddit, and X/Twitter) over the period January 2023–December 2025 were analyzed using SEM-PLS (SmartPLS). Results indicate that DSS does not significantly affect EWB either directly or through MO. The moderating effect of online toxicity is also non-significant. These findings suggest that social support within fast fashion consumption spaces does not automatically translate into meaningful psychological well-being. This study contributes by identifying a boundary condition in the digital social support and well-being literature within commercial contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid growth of the thrifting (used clothing) industry in Indonesia, which has intensified competition among retailers. In such a competitive environment, businesses are required to create a pleasant shopping experience to maintain customer loyalty and encourage repurchase intention. Factors such as store atmosphere and service quality are considered important in influencing consumer behavior, particularly in increasing the likelihood of repeat purchases. This study aims to analyze the effect of store atmosphere and service quality on repurchase intention among consumers of Ob.Second Cirebon Outlet. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal design. The population consists of consumers who have made purchases at Ob.Second Cirebon Outlet, with a sample of 97 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by SPSS. The results indicate that both store atmosphere and service quality have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, both individually and simultaneously. This implies that creating a comfortable store environment and delivering high-quality service are essential strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat purchases.

Abstract

The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in workplace feedback systems has reshaped how employees receive performance evaluations and guidance. While AI promises efficiency and objectivity, its influence on employees’ psychological engagement, creative behavior, and organizational innovation is not yet fully understood. This study aims to examine how AI-based feedback affects employees’ work commitment and creativity and how these factors, in turn, contribute to organizational innovation. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, using survey data collected from employees who had experienced AI-supported feedback in their organizations. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that AI-based feedback positively influences both work commitment and employee creativity. In addition, work commitment and creativity each play a significant role in promoting organizational innovation and jointly mediate the relationship between AI-based feedback and innovation outcomes. These results suggest that AI-based feedback does not automatically lead to innovation; instead, its benefits emerge when the technology strengthens employees’ emotional attachment to their work and supports creative exploration. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of designing AI-based feedback systems that are transparent, supportive, and development-oriented in order to fully realize their potential in fostering sustainable organizational innovation.
