Abstract

This study aims to analyze the elasticity price transmission of papaya fruit at the farmer level (producer) and at the consumer level (retailer) in Indramayu Regency. Papaya is one of the fruits favored by the public because of its vitamin content, fresh taste, and low price. The price transmission elasticity (Et) analysis uses a simple regression between two prices, namely prices at the farm level and at the retailer level. The research data uses time series data on monthly papaya prices at the farmer level and at the consumer level in Indramayu Regency during the 2014-2020 period. The results of the analysis show that the price elasticity of papaya fruit in Indramayu Regency is inelastic (Et < 1). This shows that price changes at the farmer level are smaller than the price changes at the retail level. This means that farmers have not received good prices from traders.

Abstract

Javanese ginseng (Talinum paniculatum Gaertn) is one of the medicinal plants which its roots (tubers) and leaves can be used as a medicine. The productivity of javanese ginseng is influenced by the availability of water. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of javanese ginseng under the differences of watering volume. Watering volume treatment consisted of 7 treatments with 4 replications using a Randomized Block Design (RBD). Watering volume treatment consisted of 80% of field capacity (control), 50% of field capacity, 60% of field capacity, 70% of field capacity, 90 of field capacity, 100% of field capacity and 110% of field capacity. Watering volume treatment on javanese ginseng gave significantly different effect on plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight, and chlorophyll content, while the insignificant difference was shown in the number of stomata and relative moisture content. The best growth for plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight and chlorophyll content of javanese ginseng was shown in the treatment of watering volume of 50% of field capacity.

Abstract

Over the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has had various impacts on various sectors. The implementation of the sustainable food yard program (P2L) launched by the Ministry of Agriculture is one of the efforts to overcome its impact. This study aims to determine the impact of the implementation of the P2L program on the level of nutritional adequacy (TKG) which was carried out during the covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the impact of the implementation of P2L program on the level of nutritional adequacy (TKG). This research is a case study conducted in the Women Farmers Group (KWT) Walidah, Cisaat District, Sukabumi Regency. The results showed that after the implementation of the P2L program during the pandemic, it had a positive impact on households in terms of nutritional adequacy. Based on that, the P2L program should be carried out in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Leri water is rice washing wastewater which has been only thrown away by the community, is easily produced or obtained every day, and can be used as organic fertilizer in plant cultivation. This study aims to determine the potential of leri water as organic fertilizer for pakcoy plants with table model DFT hydroponics. This research method was carried out using three nutrient solution treatments, namely leri water (N1), leri water + AB mix with a ratio of 1:1 (N2), and AB mix (N3). The results of the measurement of the number of leaves (strands), plant height (cm), and plant weight (g) in the three nutrient solution treatments were compared to determine whether there was a difference using one-way ANOVA with a level of 5%. If the results are significantly different, then proceed with the Tukey's HSD test at the 5% level. The results showed that leri water has the potential as a liquid organic fertilizer when added to AB mix fertilizer, with a ratio of 1:1 (N2) can increase the weight of pakcoy plants by four times the yield of N1.

Abstract

Fruit is one of the nutritional needs for the body that must be met. But with a note, these nutrients will be obtained from fruit that is still fresh. The definition of fresh fruit itself is fruit that can be consumed directly and does not require any further processing. There are many ways to select and differentiate between fresh fruit and bad fruit and in general direct observations can be made. But over time, there are several other ways to observe fruit freshness using existing technology. Where one of them is by optimizing deep learning and machine learning. This detection and classification system was created using a deep learning method using the YOLOv5 algorithm which can detect in real-time the types of apples, bananas and oranges. We use image datasets for each of these fruits for fresh fruit and rotten fruit, a total of 1200 images for train data and 330 images for validation data and 6 images for test data. Based on the tests that have been carried out with training data, along with validation data, and test data using the YOLOv5 algorithm, it can be concluded that this detection method can recognize objects consistently with a high degree of accuracy. This can be proven at the level of accuracy which reaches an accuracy rate of 90%.

Abstract

The research aims to determine; (1) the response of growth and yield of rice plants to various doses of roasted husks, and (2) doses of roasted husks that have a positive effect on the growth and yield of rice plants of the Inpari 32 variety. The study was carried out for 3 (months) months, starting from January to March 2022. This research was carried out with an experimental approach using a Randomized Block Design (RBD), 6 doses of burnt husk treatment and repeated five times, so that there were 30 experimental units. The variables observed were plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, number of shoots per clump, panicle length, number of pithy grain per panicle, weight of 1000 grains of grain, yield of dry grain harvested per clump and per plot. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) if there was a significant effect, then Duncan's multiple-distance further test was carried out at a significance level of 5 percent. The results showed: (1) Burned husk treatment had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, number of panicles per clump, number of pithy grain per panicle, weight of 1000 grains of grain, yield of dry grain harvested per clump. and per plot, but had no significant effect on panicle length. and (2) The highest harvested dry grain yields were obtained at doses of roasted husks of 4 and 5 tons/ha, namely 6.65 kg and 7.70 kg per plot or equivalent to 7.39 tonnes per hectare and 8.56 tonnes per hectare.

Abstract

Sycanus is a UPDPKS predator that stays and gets food from the eight o'clock flower (Turnera ulmifolia). This study aims to determine the behavior of the eight o'clock flower due to leaf cutting and shading and its relationship with air temperature, air humidity and light intensity. This research is an experimental research, there are two treatment factors, factor 1 is leaf cutting and without cutting, factor 2 is without shading, 50% shading and 100% shading. Parameters observed were the duration of flower blooming, daily behavior of flowers, interval (duration) of flower bud blooming and weather conditions. The results showed that the eight o'clock flower without treatment experienced full bloom at 08.17 WIB and perfect bud at 13.32 WIB with a blooming duration of 4 hours 17 minutes. The process of blooming and buds takes longer in the treatment of 100% shading. Air temperature in the treatment without shade and 50% shade increased in temperature 30 minutes before the flowers bloomed and 30 minutes after the flowers experienced full bud with a maximum temperature of 35.8oC. The effect of microclimate in each treatment on blooming behavior was marked when the air temperature and light intensity increased followed by a decrease in air humidity and would bud again when the air temperature and light intensity were higher and the air humidity was lower.

Abstract

As time goes by and human efforts to plant and expand new superior species cause local species that are very diverse to be suppressed resulting in decline (inbreeding depression), even genetic drift. one of the local species is banana Roid from Jatigede District. Roid banana is allowed to grow wild without any special care from the local community. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential genetic diversity of local varieties of Roid banana (Musa spp.) in Jatigede District. This research will be conducted in November 2021 – January 2023 in three villages located in Jatigede Sub-district, namely Ciranggem Village, Jemah Village, and Mekarasih Village. The research was conducted using a descriptive method through exploration and characterization that refers to descriptors. Determination of the sample location was done by purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study, Jatigede Sub-district has a wide genetic diversity and distant kinship between Roid banana species. Characters that contribute to inter accession diversity are midrib width (LPt), bunch diameter (DTn), and pseudostem length (PPs). Accession MS1.3 was selected as a superior accession with the characters of the number of combs per bunch, leaf blade width 71-80 cm, leaf blade length 171-220 cm, and the number of rhizomes > 5 tillers..

Abstract

Organic fertilizer in the form of compost is possible to be continuesly applied in oil palm plantations, including in nurseries. This is one of the efforts to support the realization of sustainable oil palm plantations. This experiment aims to examine the effect of adding compost made out of empty oil palm bunches (EOPB) and bacteria Bacillus sp. applied either singly or in combination between the two to the state of the dry matter of oil palm seedlings. The experiment was carried out at the Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University from February to May 2022. The experiment was a field test using a randomized block design consisting of nine treatments, repeated three times. The treatments included NPK inorganic fertilizer, Bacillus sp. (25 mL and 35 mL), EOPB compost (100 g, 150 g and 200 g) given to each oil palm seedlings. The experimental results showed that the administration of Bacillus sp. 25 mL/seedling alone had good effect on the dry weight of the roots and dry weight of the oil palm seedlings, while the addition of 150 g/seedling EOPB compost alone had a good effect on the dry weight of the oil palm seedling shoots. The condition of the dry matter of the seedlings with the provision of Bacillus sp. and EOPB compost is as good as oil palm seedlings which are only given NPK fertilizer so that in this case the EOPB compost and Bacillus sp. can be used as an alternative fertilizer to be applied in oil palm nurseries.

Abstract

The role of the agricultural and industrial sectors on community welfare through the economic growth of GRDP in Banten Province. This study intends to examine the state of economic growth in Banten Province, analyzing the role of the agricultural sector and the industrial sector on economic growth and community welfare. This data was obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Banten Province in 2001-2021. The analysis method used is path analysis using SPSS for Windows version 16. The results showed that the direct role of the agricultural sector, the industrial sector and the economic organization of GRDP played an insignificant role in the welfare of the people of Banten Province, while the indirect role of the industrial sector had a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of GRDP in Banten Province.
