Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the effectiveness of motif creation using the pounding ecoprint technique with Sidamanik tea leaves as a natural dye, and to determine the factors influencing the final ecoprint results. The research method employed was experimental, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 20 panelists and observations by 2 observers. The findings indicate that motif sharpness and color fastness varied significantly depending on the fabric type and mordant combination used. For motif sharpness, ecoprint on canvas fabric with a mixture of tunjung, soda ash, and alum mordants achieved the highest score (90%), while rayon fabric with tunjung, soda ash, and alum mordants showed the lowest score (61%). Regarding color fastness, the most significant color change occurred in samples with tunjung pre-mordant and alum post-mordant. Canvas fabric with tunjung mordant demonstrated the best color fastness (72%), whereas rayon fabric with tunjung mordant had the lowest color fastness (42%). Overall, this study suggests the potential of Sidamanik tea leaves as a natural dye in ecoprint, with the appropriate selection of fabric type and mordant being crucial for optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political communication style of H. A. Rahman (Aji Man) in winning the 2024 Bima Mayoral Election through the dramaturgical theory of Erving Goffman, which includes three dimensions: front stage, back stage, and off stage. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, literature review, and participatory observation. The results of the study show that on the front stage, Aji Man presents himself as a firm, articulate, and well-groomed leader to build a positive image in the public eye. In the back stage, he demonstrates strong leadership, managerial skills, and well-prepared communication strategies together with his campaign team and political party. Meanwhile, in the off stage, he appears as a humble, humorous, and approachable individual who maintains close relationships with the community, his family, and political colleagues—creating an authentic and down-to-earth impression. These three communication dimensions synergistically shape a well-rounded political image and contribute to his success in winning the election. The findings confirm that effective political communication requires a comprehensive strategy that not only focuses on public image-building but also on internal management and strong interpersonal relationships.

Abstract

Today, leadership has become a growing discourse among many groups, including practitioners, observers, and even in public spaces, emphasizing the ideal form of leadership that is dynamic and relevant to everyday life. Madrasas, as Islamic educational institutions, play a strategic role in shaping a generation that is knowledgeable, moral, and competitive. However, the challenges of the era of globalization and modernization demand a leadership model that is not merely administrative, but also transformative and based on spiritual values. This article aims to analyze the concept of prophetic leadership in building madrasa culture, interpersonal and its relationship with society, and transcendence in educational leadership. The research method uses a literature study approach. The results of the study indicate that prophetic leadership contributes significantly to strengthening the madrasa vision, building an academic culture of integrity, and improving the quality of human resources. Thus, prophetic leadership in building madrasa culture becomes a relevant paradigm for strengthening the role of madrasas in facing the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The digital era has encouraged the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia to launch SIAPkerja (Sistem Informasi dan Aplikasi Pelayanan Ketenagakerjaan) as an integrated platform for employment services. This study evaluates the transformation of public services through SIAPkerja using the five dimensions of public service quality (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) as an analytical framework. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques of in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results show that SIAPkerja improves the accessibility and responsiveness of labour services, although it still faces challenges such as limited digital infrastructure in remote areas. The implementation of SIAPkerja also plays a role in supporting the principles of good governance through data integration and regular monitoring by the Ministry. This study concludes that SIAPkerja has improved the quality of technology-based public services, but recommendations for improving human resource capacity and infrastructure are still needed.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a high school student preparation program in achieving the DELF A2 French Language Certificate using the CSF-UCLA model approach. This model assesses five main dimensions: assessment, planning, implementation, improvement, and certification. The research method used is descriptive evaluative with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). The instrument developed includes 20 question items based on indicators from each dimension. The results of the study indicate that the program has been in accordance with the needs of students, the materials and learning methods are designed systematically, the implementation is effective, and there are improvements in strategies based on student feedback. In addition, students feel more confident and show an increase in exam simulation scores. These findings confirm that the CSF-UCLA approach can be a comprehensive and contextual evaluation tool in improving the effectiveness of foreign language certification preparation programs at the secondary education level.

Abstract

Management of School Operational Assistance funds, abbreviated as BOS, requires appropriate, good, transparent and responsible governance. In terms of planning and using BOS funds, it is very important to integrate the values of Islamic education to realize the right target use of BOS funds. This research aims to analyze the application of values in Islamic education in the planning and implementation of the school operational assistance program at SDN Batunisung. To obtain valid data, the research was designed using a penomenological approach, where the data obtained was based on phenomena that occurred at SDN Batunisung. The data obtained was then processed using the Miles and Huberman model. To test the validity of the data, researchers used data triangulation, namely source triangulation, technical triangulation and time triangulation. The results of the research show that the values of Islamic education have become the basis for the practice of managing School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at SDN Batunisung, such as the values of honesty, trust, cooperation and sincerity. This is proven by the transparency of planning, involvement of all school parties, and responsibility in implementing the program.

Abstract

One of the impacts of divorce is a change in parenting patterns and its effect on children's religious education within the family. This research aims to identify parenting patterns in applying religious education within divorced Muslim families. Qualitative research approach with the case study method, research location in Laumulgap Village, Selesai District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. The informants were selected using purposive sampling, specifically three parents and three children from divorced Muslim families. Data collection techniques were carried out thru in-depth interviews with open-ended, semi-structured questions. Data analysis and management were conducted using Lincoln and Guba's naturalistic paradigm, with an emphasis on four data quality criteria: credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The research results show that the backgrounds of divorce are diverse, ranging from economic factors leading to infidelity by the wife, infidelity by the husband, families without conflict, and differences in life principles. These factors influence the level of conflict before and after divorce, thereby affecting the impact on the child's religious activities. The impact of divorce on children's religious behavior, such as abandoning worship and experiencing a spiritual crisis. Conversely, conflict-free divorce with active involvement from both parents does not show a negative impact on children's religiosity. The parenting styles employed also vary, ranging from permissive and authoritarian to democratic. The democratic parenting style has proven to be the most effective in guiding children thru the emotional and spiritual crises following divorce. This research emphasizes the importance of maintaining emotional stability and consistency in parenting for children's religious education. The quality of the parent-child relationship and parenting approaches after divorce are determining factors in the formation and recovery of children's religious behavior.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design model, Pretest-posttest control group design. It was conducted with eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Ambalawi, with 25 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. The research instruments included a Speaking Test, Local Culture Literacy Test, Observation Sheet, and Interview Questionnaire. The data were analyzed from the Speaking, Local Culture Literacy, and Observation assessments. The validation results indicate that the learning materials and evaluation instruments meet the required standards and are recommended for implementation. The integration of local culture into the learning process received high appreciation, indicating that the culturally-based approach is highly effective in improving students' skills. This study suggests that the use of CTL with the Mpa’a Amba strategy is effective in improving students' English speaking skills, although local culture literacy still requires more time and effort to be fully understood and applied.
