Abstract

This study investigates the integration of digital tools in interpreting instruction and examines its effects on students’ learning outcomes and perceptions. Conducted at the Faculty of Arts, Management and Business Management (FBMB), Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika (UNDIKMA), the research involved 77 fifth-semester students enrolled in the Interpreting course. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-tests and a structured questionnaire, while qualitative data were obtained from interviews and classroom observations. Digital tools such as YouGlish, VoiceTube, TED Talks, and AI-based note-taking applications were integrated into interpreting lessons over six weeks. Results from paired-sample t-tests revealed a significant improvement in students’ interpreting performance after the integration of digital tools, with mean scores increasing from 67.47 to 79.36 (p < .001). Questionnaire results indicated very positive perceptions (M = 4.30), particularly regarding motivation, engagement, and perceived usefulness. Thematic analysis of interviews and observations further showed that digital tools enhanced students’ exposure to authentic materials, promoted learner autonomy, and increased confidence. However, challenges such as unstable internet connections and varying levels of digital literacy were also identified. The study concludes that integrating digital tools significantly enriches interpreting instruction by fostering multimodal learning, engagement, and self-regulation. The findings highlight the importance of incorporating technology into interpreter education and provide pedagogical implications for curriculum design, teacher training, and institutional support in EFL contexts.

Abstract

Healthy food knowledge among early childhood in Indonesia remains low, as children tend to reject vegetables and fruits while preferring snacks and sweetened drinks. This study aims to develop the traditional game Dampu Sehat Bergizi (SEGI) as an innovative learning medium to improve children’s understanding of healthy food. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, limited to the development stage, and was tested on 15 children aged 5–6 years at TK Larasati, South Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, expert validation (nutrition, early childhood education, and media experts), and a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. Validation results indicated an average score of 90.2% categorized as “highly feasible.” Effectiveness testing showed a significant improvement, with the average knowledge score increasing from 86% (“adequate”) to 94% (“highly feasible”) after using the SEGI game. Children demonstrated high enthusiasm, active participation, and improved ability to identify healthy food categories. These findings confirm that the SEGI traditional game is effective in enhancing early childhood nutrition literacy through engaging, interactive, and culturally relevant learning experiences.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of visionary leadership, organizational culture, and educational policy direction in creating quality education in madrasas. A visionary madrasa principal can inspire teachers, students, and educational staff, and encourage innovation and the use of technology in learning. Organizational culture shapes student character, strengthens madrasah identity, and maintains harmony among school members. Educational policy direction provides strategic guidance to ensure all educational programs align with national goals and empower human resources. The synergy of these three aspects creates a conducive, character-based, and competitive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Creative Product and Entrepreneurship subjects on students' entrepreneurial interest in the Fashion Design Department at SMK Citra Harapan Jaya. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 students and practical assessments conducted by teachers. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 30, along with prerequisite tests including normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The analysis results indicate that the Creative Product and Entrepreneurship subjects simultaneously have a significant influence on students’ entrepreneurial interest, with an Fcount value of 428.798 and an Ftable value of 3.35 at a 5% significance level (α = 0.05). Since Fcount > Ftable (428.798 > 3.35), this indicates a very strong influence. These findings confirm that practice-based learning in the Creative Product and Entrepreneurship (PKK) subject is effective in fostering students’ interest in becoming entrepreneurs, particularly in the field of fashion design.

Abstract

The curriculum of STKIP Harapan Bima establishes the course Science Learning in Elementary Schools, with a lecture duration of 60 minutes per course. Such a limited time demands the achievement of indicators: students are able to explain, apply, and analyze material related to science learning. The use of textbooks or e-books does not always succeed in encouraging students to gain prior understanding before starting class sessions. Students rarely read the provided materials. Some of them struggle to grasp the meaning of the content. In fact, many students do not even open the files given. As a result, they lack prior understanding when beginning classroom learning. The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of implementing E-Learning based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) to improve scientific literacy skills. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. A quasi-experimental method is a research method in which the implementation does not use random assignment, but rather utilizes existing groups. The learning provided had a positive, significant, and equitable impact on student learning outcomes. The large average increase, the improvement of minimum scores eliminating low-achieving students, and the consistency of score distribution indicate that learning objectives were effectively achieved. Based on the results of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests, it can be concluded that the research data were normally distributed (p > 0.05). From Levene’s Test, it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest scores had homogeneous variances (p > 0.05). This strengthens the validity of using parametric tests in analyzing the differences in students’ learning outcomes before and after the learning treatment. The results of the paired t-test indicate that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = 38.1054; p < 0.05). This proves that the applied learning treatment or method was effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. The use of e-learning based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) was proven effective with an average score achievement of 80.88. This demonstrates that the learning model was able to significantly enhance students’ learning outcomes while also supporting the mastery of 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Abstract

Personality development is a crucial component of the Indonesian correctional system, aiming to rehabilitate inmates so they can reintegrate into society and reduce recidivism rates. However, the high rate of recidivism and the issue of overcrowding in correctional institutions indicate a gap between policy formulation and program implementation. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA approach to analyze 20 relevant national and international scientific articles. The analysis was based on George C. Edwards III’s policy implementation theory, which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure variables. The findings revealed that the implementation of personality development programs in correctional facilities remains suboptimal due to limited professional staff, inadequate infrastructure, and inconsistent policy communication. Furthermore, programs such as religious development, intellectual development, legal awareness, national awareness, and physical health have not fully resulted in sustainable behavioral change. This study recommends strengthening human resource capacity, conducting data-based evaluations, and adjusting policies through a holistic rehabilitative approach to enhance the effectiveness of personality development programs in correctional institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Flipbook-based learning medium for the Fiqh subject at SMP IT Al Mawaddah Warrahmah Kolaka and to examine its feasibility, validity, and effectiveness in enhancing students’ learning motivation. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and achievement tests. The research instruments were validated by two experts—one in media and one in content—to ensure the quality of the developed product. The findings indicate that the Flipbook learning medium was deemed highly valid by the experts, with an average score of 4.85 for the media aspect and 4.94 for the material aspect. These assessments encompassed visual design, student engagement, efficiency, content presentation, conceptual accuracy, and the alignment of test items with the learning material. The Flipbook was proven to effectively capture students’ attention, present the material in a structured and communicative manner, and provide an interactive learning experience. Furthermore, trial results demonstrated an improvement in students’ learning motivation, particularly in terms of interest and active engagement in understanding Fiqh concepts, especially regarding sujud syukur, sujud sahwi, and sujud tilawah. In conclusion, the Flipbook is a feasible and innovative learning medium that supports 21st-century education. This study recommends the broader use of Flipbook media in other subjects and suggests follow-up experimental research to comprehensively measure its impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of Collaborative Governance in managing industrial relations at the West Bandung Regency Manpower Service, focusing on the district's efforts to create harmonious relations between workers and employers amidst its evolving social and economic environment. The main objective of the research is to assess the effectiveness of collaboration among government, employers, and labor unions in resolving industrial disputes, while identifying the key factors that impact the success of such collaborations. Employing a Collaborative Governance approach for human resource management, the research highlights the importance of involving multiple stakeholders in policy formulation and problem-solving, emphasizing transparency, trust-building, and open communication. The study evaluates the mediation mechanisms utilized by the Manpower Service, identifying both strengths and challenges such as power imbalances, limited resources, and varying levels of stakeholder engagement. Results indicate that while the implementation of collaborative processes has led to some improvements in industrial dispute resolution, challenges remain in ensuring equitable participation from all parties. The findings suggest that refining collaborative models could lead to more effective conflict resolution, fostering long-term stability in industrial relations. Ultimately, this research aims to provide valuable insights into how Collaborative Governance can enhance worker welfare, improve employer- employee relations, and contribute to the region's economic resilience.
