Data was collected using a questionnaire or questionnaire. Based on the results of the analysis, the data before treatment showed a mean of 23.3, a median of 26.5, a mode of 20.9, and a standard deviation of 5.35. After treatment, the data showed an increase with a mean of 27.4, median of 33.5, mode of 26.3, and standard deviation of 5.06. The results of the hypothesis test show that the value of tcount=3.15t \text{count} = 3.15tcount=3.15 is greater than ttable=1.83t \text{table} = 1.83ttable=1.83. Thus, H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. This research concludes that there is a significant influence from the use of audio-visual media on the listening ability of children aged 5-6 years, Kindergarten Putra VI Pasar Friday, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta.

Abstract

An interesting and effective learning process is what every student wants, but in reality, teachers still use the lecture method in learning. Teachers still emphasize delivering material using memorized concepts. So, there is a need for alternative learning with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model approach. The aim of this research is to find out whether learning using the CTL model is effective and interesting to apply in schools. Researchers use a literature review study method by reviewing previous literature which will be processed into valid data using qualitative data analysis. The research results show that learning with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is considered important in increasing students' enthusiasm for learning in class. Learning like this will reduce students' feelings of boredom and increase their enthusiasm for learning, even though there are still obstacles that teachers will face. However, it is the teacher's job to ensure that this CTL model can run well and effectively.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate how the implementation of cooperative learning strategies, particularly Numbered Heads Together (NHT), can enhance students' interest in reading comprehension. Classroom Action Research was employed as the research design, with data collection tools consisting of questionnaires and observations. The study focused on students from class VIII A at MTS Nurul Islam Sekarbela. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used for data analysis. The research comprised two cycles of Classroom Action Research involving 27 students. The findings revealed an improvement from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, four students achieved a very high percentage score, while 20 students attained a high percentage score and three students scored in the medium category. The results of cycle II were higher than those of cycle I. Based on the data, the research was deemed successful as it met the success criteria of achieving a minimum interest level of 61% in the high percentage category for students' comprehension. Observations indicated an improvement in the classroom environment, with students demonstrating increased interest, attentiveness to the teacher, enjoyment, and greater participation in learning activities. This suggests that cooperative learning strategies can indeed enhance students' interest in reading comprehension.
