Abstract

This research was conducted to examine whether the application of serial image media can improve writing skills in Indonesian language learning for grade 2 students at MI Az Zuhriyah NW Tanjung. The research methods used are quantitative and qualitative, where the type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). namely a cycle consisting of activities: planning, action, observation and reflection. The data is collected through process assessment and assessment of the results at the end of each action. In the end, the results of this classroom action research show that through Image Media the writing ability of class Ⅱ MI Az Zuhriyah NW Tanjung students can be improved. The results of this research, which was carried out using the method of applying serial image media, can improve children's writing skills. The improvement in writing skills in class II children at MI Azzuhriyah NW Tanjung can be seen in each cycle, both from cycle 1 and cycle II. Children's writing development increased from the pre-cycle category by 0.13% to 0.2% in cycle 1 of the first meeting and 0.26% in the second meeting. In cycle 1, if the criteria were not reached, it was continued in the second cycle until it reached 94.32%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social competence on the learning motivation of Muslim students in the Physical Education Study Program at IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Social competence, which includes communication skills, cooperation, and emotional management, is considered to play an important role in creating a conducive learning environment and supporting academic achievement. The research method used is a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using Smart PLS software. The results of the study show that social competence has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of developing social competence as an integral part of higher education curricula, especially in study programs based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to address issues in the management of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in both general schools and higher education institutions. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to collect and analyze data from written sources such as journals, books, and online materials. The analysis is conducted conceptually and qualitatively using content analysis techniques to integrate relevant perspectives and provide an in-depth explanation of the research phenomenon. Islamic Religious Education in general schools faces challenges such as limited time allocation, traditional teaching approaches, and insufficient attention to affective and psychomotor aspects. External factors, such as an unsupportive environment, low parental awareness, and the influence of technology, further hinder learning effectiveness. Solutions include enhancing teacher competence, innovating teaching methods, integrating Islamic technology, and fostering synergy between schools, parents, and communities. In higher education, challenges include limited credit hours, lack of curriculum continuity, and inadequate lecturer competence, requiring holistic approaches and specific regulations for integrating religious values.

Abstract

Speaking is a key component of language learning thus students should become proficient speakers in order to respond to enquiries effectively and appropriately. In this situation, teachers must teach students effective speaking techniques in order to help them break the bad habits of word-by-word speech, excessive attention to form, and heavy dictionary use. An efficient method for this is guided speaking, which teaches students how to communicate in a variety of contexts and for a variety of goals. Writing questions on paper with the intention of encouraging self-practice anywhere is known as a questioning paper. It is an alternate method of enhancing their ability to speak. Students use the questioning paper technique to guess and have conversations based on pre-provided questions. It can encourage and support students in having conversations. The researcher conducted the research using a pre-experimental methodology in this research, using a pretest-posttest design for a single group. The group received both pre- and post-tests. Students' speaking abilities are evaluated by a pretest. After the pretest was finished, the resercher gave the students instructions on how to use the questioning paper. A posttest was given as the last step to see how well the treatment was working. The posttest results demonstrate the degree of improvement in the students' speaking abilities. As demonstrated by the students' noticeable increase in speaking after doing the treatment, using the questioning paper method is an excellent way to help students become more skilled speakers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable non-cognitive instrument to measure the learning motivation in Physics among students of the Radiology Engineering Program. Learning motivation is one of the psychological factors that influence students' academic achievement. In the context of Physics, which is often considered a difficult subject, learning motivation becomes a key element in overcoming challenges and enhancing understanding. Therefore, it is important to have an instrument that can accurately measure students' learning motivation, especially in relation to Physics material that is highly relevant to the Radiology Engineering field. The instrument developed in this study is based on learning motivation theory, which includes two main dimensions: intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Research Method The development process of the instrument was carried out through several stages. The first stage was the identification of motivation indicators relevant to these two dimensions. These indicators were then used to construct the instrument blueprint, which was later validated by experts to ensure the alignment of the items with the existing theory. The instrument was then empirically tested on a sample of students to assess its validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to assess construct validity, that is, whether the instrument accurately measures the dimensions of learning motivation. Additionally, the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient was used to measure the instrument's internal consistency, ensuring that the instrument provides consistent results. Research Findings The findings show that the developed instrument has good construct validity, with a total variance explained of 65%, indicating that the instrument can explain most of the variation in students' learning motivation in Physics. Furthermore, the instrument also demonstrates high reliability, with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.89, indicating excellent internal consistency. Regression analysis shows that learning independence significantly affects concept understanding in Physics, with a value of F(2, 85) = 15.940, p < 0.001. This indicates that students with higher motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, tend to have a better understanding of Physics concepts.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the actual condition of the education sector in the Republic of Yemen, along with the strategies that have been prepared in the context of developing and improving the quality of education. The panorama that is being observed is not only a picture of Yemen which until now is still preoccupied by conflicts and political disputes. This paper is expected to be one of the scientific contributions for further research in related fields. The data in this paper was obtained using qualitative research methods by conducting literature studies from various sources. The data collected is presented as it is without providing any interpretation. From these various sources, some data was obtained from official documents. Although with the disclosure of the source of the document, statements or articles that are opinions are minimized so that scientific objectivity is maintained. Based on the studies that have been conducted, an important keyword has been found that covers development in all sectors (including education) in Yemen, namely the Yemen Strategic Vision 2025. Especially in the field of education, the Ministry of Education and Culture has prepared a set of plans and achievement parameters for a certain work period. This article is not proposed as a form of problem solving, but rather is intended as additional literature for a more comprehensive review.
