Abstract

Changes in village financial management regulations since 2017 have required adaptations in the vocational education system, particularly in the teaching of Government Accounting in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Teachers need to understand government accounting concepts, the Government Accounting Standards (SAP), and how to use the Village Financial System (Siskeudes) application to provide contextual, applicable learning for students. This community service program aims to improve the competence of accounting teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Probolinggo in implementing SAP and operating the Siskeudes application. The implementation methods included initial observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), SAP material training, Siskeudes application simulation, and collaborative development of a Government Accounting practicum module. The mentoring program involved 12 accounting teachers who are members of the Probolinggo City Accounting Teachers' Association (MGMP). Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, and analysis of teacher feedback. Based on these evaluation activities, the program led to substantial improvements in three main indicators: teachers' understanding of SAP concepts, practical competence in using the Siskeudes application, and readiness to integrate public-sector accounting into vocational learning. The program also produced one Government Accounting practicum module as a contextual learning medium for classroom implementation. The novelty of this program lies in combining Deep Learning pedagogy with contextual Siskeudes simulation and collaborative module development. Practically, this activity supports teachers in designing more relevant, applicable, practice-based, and technology-oriented Government Accounting learning in vocational schools.

Abstract

Financial well-being is a crucial aspect determining the quality of life of older adults, particularly in the face of economic challenges, changing health conditions, and the increasing risk of digital fraud. Low financial literacy among older adults can lead to financial mismanagement, inappropriate investment decisions, and vulnerability to various forms of technology-based financial crime. This study aims to analyze the relationship between financial education, understanding of safe investments, and the ability to recognize digital fraud on the financial well-being of older adults. The method used was a quantitative approach with a survey design involving older adults as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring the level of financial education, knowledge of safe investments, awareness of digital fraud, and financial well-being. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics to identify relationships between variables. The results show that financial education has a positive influence on the financial well-being of older adults. Understanding safe investments helps older adults avoid high-risk investment decisions, while the ability to recognize digital fraud improves the protection of their financial assets. Statistical analysis using paired-sample t-test indicated significant improvements (p < 0.05). The novelty of this community service lies in integrating financial management education, safe investment literacy, and digital fraud prevention into a single educational model specifically designed for older adults. Practically, the program offers a replicable model for improving financial capability and digital resilience among elderly communities. These findings emphasize the importance of sustainable, needs-based financial education programs for older adults to improve financial management skills, strengthen investment security, and reduce the risk of losses due to digital fraud. This research contributes to the development of more inclusive financial literacy policies and programs to support the financial well-being of older adults in the digital era.

Abstract

Mental health is an essential component of children’s overall well-being and plays a crucial role in supporting academic achievement, social development, and emotional growth. Schools serve as strategic settings for mental health promotion because children spend a significant portion of their time in educational environments; however, limited access to supportive and restorative outdoor spaces may negatively affect students’ psychological well-being and learning experiences. This community service program aimed to promote students’ mental health through the development of a restorative environment-based open space at SDN Tulusrejo 3. The program employed a participatory approach involving environmental assessment, mental health education, open-space development, and program evaluation. It was implemented over 4 weeks and involved 67 students and 11 teachers, along with school stakeholders. Activities included mental health education sessions, improvement of green open spaces, installation of educational media, and creation of child-friendly outdoor areas for relaxation and social interaction. Program evaluation using pre- and post-intervention assessments demonstrated a 86% increase in students’ knowledge regarding mental health and a 100% increase in participation in school-based mental health promotion activities. The utilization of the restorative open space also increased, indicating greater student engagement with the newly developed environment. These quantitative findings, supported by positive feedback from students and teachers, indicate that the intervention contributed to a more supportive and restorative learning environment. The novelty of this program lies in integrating restorative environment principles with school-based mental health promotion through the collaborative development of child-friendly green open spaces, combining environmental modification, health education, and active stakeholder participation in a single intervention model.

Abstract

Upgrading practical security skills in secondary vocational education requires an accurate assessment of how students handle live network threats. Faculty members from the informatics engineering department joined the regional Vocational Student Competition (LKS) in Central Jakarta as external judges to evaluate student performance. Testing took place via a 150-minute Jeopardy-style Capture The Flag (CTF) setup involving 8 school teams, with each team containing two students. Logs from the platform backend and manual inspection sheets served as primary data sources. Analysis of the final scores showed that while every team handled baseline scanning tasks successfully, advanced challenge phases exposed clear limits in manual vulnerability analysis. Specifically, only 3 teams successfully captured the final flag due to an over-reliance on automated tool scripts. Providing direct, immediate post-incident feedback helps vocational schools alter their laboratory designs, shifting from static manuals toward open-ended troubleshooting environments.

Abstract

Cybersecurity stands as a baseline requirement for the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) to protect critical national defense infrastructure. The shifting nature of digital threats requires regular updates to the operational competencies of defense personnels. Fulfilling an official instructional mandate issued by the military headquarters, the hands-on workshop focused on expanding the operational network security competencies of delegated TNI AU personnels. Conducted over several days in early 2026 within the city of Bandung, the training workshop deployed a specialized curriculum combining theoretical frameworks with hands-on virtual laboratory simulations and qualitative performance metrics. The participant cohort comprised 25 active-duty personnel delegated from various operational commands across Indonesia. Qualitative analysis of pre- and post-test assessments demonstrated substantial growth in the participant’s practical proficiency, specifically in firewall configuration, active intrusion detection, and structured incident response. The efficacy of this technology transfer was accelerated by the professional attributes of the military cohort, characterized by rigorous discipline, institutional etiquette, and absolute punctuality, which maximized instructional efficiency. The participant’s engagement extended beyond formal classroom hours, turning coffee breaks and communal dining sessions into collaborative forums for troubleshooting real-world field challenges. As an institutional token of respect for this commitment, the instructing team composed a digital defense anthem titled "Garda Langit Siber," disseminated via YouTube to build public digital sovereignty awareness. This intervention successfully upgraded the tactical readiness of TNI AU’s human capital as a robust digital shield for cyber aerospace sovereignty.

Abstract

Environmental problems in elementary schools remain a challenge due to students' low awareness of waste sorting, limited implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM)-based learning, and the absence of structured school waste management systems. This community service program aimed to improve environmental awareness and strengthen teachers' capacity to integrate STEAM through the utilization of recyclable materials as contextual learning resources at SDN 01 Cimone, Tangerang. The program was implemented from July to September 2025 through socialization, teacher and student training, establishment of a school waste bank, development and implementation of STEAM-based learning media from recyclable materials, as well as mentoring and monitoring. Program evaluation involved surveys of 50 students, observations of 10 teachers, documentation, and assessments of waste management practices. The results demonstrated measurable improvements in participants' environmental literacy and teaching practices. Students' waste-sorting awareness increased from 25% (12 of 50 students) to 65% (33 of 50 students), while teachers integrating STEAM into classroom instruction increased from 0% to 60% (6 of 10 teachers). The average volume of non-organic waste decreased from 12 kg/week to 8 kg/week, and five STEAM-based learning products were successfully developed from recyclable materials. In addition, a school waste bank and a Students Care for the Environment team were established to ensure program sustainability. These findings indicate that the STEAM-based recyclable material empowerment program effectively enhanced environmental literacy, teachers' instructional competence, and sustainable waste management practices in elementary schools. The model has strong potential to be replicated in schools facing similar environmental challenges.

Abstract

Adolescents are vulnerable to unhealthy dietary habits, highlighting the need for innovative strategies to improve nutrition literacy. This community-based educational program aimed to enhance adolescents' nutrition literacy through the utilization of Moringa oleifera and Citrus microcarpa in an effervescent formulation. A one-group pre-test–post-test design was conducted among 68 twelfth-grade students at SMAN 1 Cisaga, Ciamis Regency, Indonesia. The program consisted of nutrition education, leaflet distribution, and a hands-on demonstration of effervescent formulation preparation. Nutrition knowledge was assessed using a validated questionnaire before and after the educational intervention. Following the intervention, the proportion of participants with high nutrition knowledge increased from 1.5% to 36.8%, while the proportions of participants with moderate and low nutrition knowledge decreased. In addition, 93% of participants positively accepted the effervescent product, 79% perceived it as beneficial, and 71% reported increased awareness of the potential of local herbal resources. These findings suggest that integrating nutrition education with practical pharmaceutical innovation is an effective approach to improving adolescent nutrition literacy while promoting the utilization of locally available functional foods. This educational model may serve as a practical and sustainable strategy for strengthening school-based nutrition education and encouraging the use of indigenous herbal resources.

Abstract

Oenif Village in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, is characterized by chronic agricultural constraints, including limited water resources, seasonal feed scarcity during prolonged dry periods, suboptimal management of livestock waste, and low levels of community engagement and institutional capacity. This community empowerment initiative was designed to restructure the local agricultural system by promoting crop–livestock integration, introducing drip irrigation technology, and enhancing feed and waste management practices. The program The program, conducted over six months with 24 participants, employed a combination of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), technical training, the installation of drip irrigation units, organic fertilizer processing, and the formulation of fermented feed. Program outcomes were assessed through systematic field observations, production monitoring, and comparative analyses of pre- and post-intervention conditions. The implementation of drip irrigation substantially improved water-use efficiency by 55.72% and increased crop yields by 25.41%. The establishment of a fermented feed bank mitigated dry-season feed shortages, contributing to more consistent livestock productivity and a 21.33% rise in egg output. Additionally, converting livestock waste into organic fertilizer reduced reliance on chemical fertilizers by 32.16%. Overall, the integration of crop–livestock systems supported by appropriate irrigation technology and participatory engagement proved effective in enhancing agricultural productivity, optimizing water utilization, and strengthening local resource management. This integrated model demonstrates strong potential for replication across other dryland regions facing comparable ecological and socioeconomic challenges, thereby advancing sustainable agriculture and rural community resilience.
