Journal of Indonesian Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation (Jurnal Pariwisata, Perhotelan dan Rekreasi Indonesia) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan dua keluaran (issues) dalam setahun pada bulan April dan Oktober. Redaksi juga turut mengundang para peneliti dan praktisi untuk dapat mengirimkan artikel berupa laporan hasil penelitian, pemikiran-pemikiran, maupun tulisan akademik, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan kepariwisataan, perhotelan dan rekreasi luar ruang. Perlu dipahami sebelumnya, artikel yang hendak dikirimkan merupakan artikel yang belum pernah dimuat atau dipublikasikan di jurnal berkala ilmiah lainnya.

Abstract

 The COVID-19 pandemic affected its economic impact and disrupted all the economies in the world, including in Indonesia, causing many people to lose their jobs, close some of their businesses and the possibility of an economic crisis. When the number of cases of infection and death has increased sharply and recovery from a pandemic remains uncertain even in developed countries, evidence of shocks throughout the economy including China, Europe and the US has emerged. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overall understanding of the possibility of a pandemic macroeconomic shock, which includes economic activity in several affected areas, knowing how much the hospitality industry is affected by the same experiencing losses due to not having visitors as usual days. The COVID-19 pandemic also caused several sectors of Digital Travel Marketing companies to experience a drastic decline because almost all public transportation access was restricted and given a 100% refund. This paper discusses the monetary effects of COVID-19 emergencies across companies, and countries. It speaks of a monetary crisis through financial movements which are strongly affected by the ongoing pandemic. The monetary potential of COVID-19 throughout the world is still in high percentage, some workers are still in the period of vacation and some have been fired from the company.Keywords: Pandemic Effects, Tourism Industry, Tangerang

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perkembangan penelitian mengenai virtual tourism serta bagaimana virtual tourism diteliti selama 10 tahun terakhir yang dipublikasi oleh scopus. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana bentuk pelaksanaan virtual tourism yang dapat dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha pariwisata di masa pandemi covid-19. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang terdampak virus covid-19 melaksanakan pembatasan sosial berskala besar untuk mencegah semakin bertambahnya kasus positif di Indonesia, akibatnya berbagai sektor industri terkena dampaknya salah satunya pariwisata. Menurunnya kunjungan wisatawan, pemutusan hubungan kerja, hingga pelaku usaha pariwisata yang gulung tikar terjadi akibat meluasnya virus covid-19 serta menurunnya kunjungan wisatawan ke objek dan daya tarik wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis bibliometric dengan alat analisis menggunakan aplikasi vosviewer 1.6.16.Kata Kunci : virtual tourism, destinasi, Covid-19VIRTUAL TOURISM AS AN ALTERNATIVE IN PANDEMIC COVID-19                                                                     ABSTRACTThe Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in almost all countries led to changes in people's behavior which required them to stay at home because there was an increase in confirmed positive cases so that some countries implemented lockdown policies. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by the Covid-19 virus implementing large-scale social restrictions to prevent the increasing number of positive cases in Indonesia, as a result of which various industrial sectors are affected, one of which is tourism. The decline in tourist visits, layoffs of employment, business actors who went bankrupt occurred due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the decline in tourist visits to tourist objects and attractions. This study uses bibliometric analysis with analysis tools using the Vosviewer 1.6 application. This research discusses how the form of virtual tourism implementation that can be carried out by tourism businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as how virtual tourism has been researched over the last 10 years published by Scopus. Keywords: Virtual tourism, Destination, Covid-19

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui teritori personal yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan aktivitas pada area makan. Area makan, merupakan hal paling utama pada suatu restoran yang menentukan pengalaman ruang bagi penggunanya, untuk itu kenyamanan ketika aktivitas di meja makan perlu diperhatikan. Setiap restoran menerapkan sistem makan yang berbeda, salah satunya adalah sistem makan berbagi, yaitu beberapa menu hidangan yang dinikmati lebih dari satu orang. Sistem ini tentunya mempengaruhi dimensi meja makan yang digunakan dan teritori personal area makan seorang pengunjung dalam aktivitas makan-minumnya. Analisis data diolah secara deskriptif dengan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari observasi langsung pada restoran yang memiliki sistem makan berbagi yaitu restoran Al-Jazeerah dan Miss Bee Providore yang berlokasi di kota Bandung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kebutuhan teritori personal pada suatu restoran dapat berbeda sesuai bentuk dan ukuran peralatan makan dari menu hidangan yang disediakan.Kata Kunci: Meja Makan, Restoran, Teritori PersonalTHE EFFECT OF FURNITURE DIMENSION FOR PERSONAL TERRITORY TABLE SETTING WITH SHARING SYSTEM IN THE RESTAURANT ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to find out personal territory that suitable for the activity in the dining area. Restaurant is one of the sector in the hospitality industry, an intresting destination for the general public and tourists to enjoy many various of culinary both food and drinks. Dining area, is the most important thing in the restaurant that determines the experience of space for the users, so customer comfortable when doing activities at the dining table need to be considered. Every restaurant uses a different dining system, one of them is food sharing system, which is a dish that are eaten by more than one person. This system affects the dimensions of the dining table and the territories of customer private areas in their eating and drinking activities. Data analysis was processed descriptively with qualitative data obtained from direct observation on restaurants that have shared dining systems, that is Al-Jazeerah and Miss Bee Providore restaurants located in Bandung. Results of this study indicate that the needs of personal territory in a restaurant can be different according to the shape and size of cutlery from the menu of dishes.  Keywords: Dining Table, Personal Teritory, Restaurant

Abstract

ABSTRAKPeluang terjadinya bencana di kawasan wisata alam selalu ada, sehingga ketahanan usaha pariwisata menjadi isu yang penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesiapan usaha pariwisata khususnya UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah) dalam menghadapi potensi bencana di masa yang akan datang. Empat indikator yang digunakan untuk mengklarifikasi yaitu kesiapan UMKM pariwisata, kesadaran dan pemahaman terhadap potensi bencana, aspek bahaya, dan aspek kerentanan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan pemilik usaha pariwisata yang mencakup bidang usaha akomodasi, pusat oleh-oleh, serta usaha perjalanan wisata. Hasil wawancara diubah menjadi transkrip lalu direduksi menghasilkan kode bentuk kesiapan UMKM pariwisata dalam menghadapi bencana sesuai standar Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) dari skala tinggi hingga rendah.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh UMKM mempunyai kesadaran akan potensi bencana pada tingkat sedang. Mayoritas UMKM skala besar memiliki kesiapan yang lebih tinggi, sedangkan UMKM kecil hanya sadar akan adanya potensi bencana. Sementara itu, seluruh UMKM memiliki tingkat kerentanan bencana alam yang tinggi. Secara keseluruhan masih terdapat UMKM baik skala tinggi maupun rendah yang memiliki risiko bencana yang tinggi, sehingga dibutuhkan rencana mitigasi yang melibatkan seluruh stakeholder, melalui koordinasi yang efektif dari pemerintah daerah.Kata Kunci: Kesiapan menghadapi bencana, risiko bencana, usaha  pariwisata, wisata alamTOURISM BUSINESS RISK ANALYSIS IN FACING NATURAL DISASTERS IN LEMBANG REGENCYABSTRACTThis study aims to identify the readiness of tourism businesses, especially MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in facing potential natural disasters in the future. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach by using four indicators to analyze the readiness, namely clarification of tourism SMEs, awareness and understanding of potential disasters, aspects of danger, and aspects of vulnerability. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with tourism business owners covering the accommodation business, souvenir centers, and tourist travel businesses. The interview results were changed to the transcript and then reduced to produce a code of tourism MSME readiness in facing disasters according to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) standards from high to low scale. Drawing conclusions from the findings states that all MSMEs are aware of potential disasters at a moderate level. The majority of MSMEs with more excellent assets and income have better-planned preparation for dealing with disasters in the future. In comparison, MSMEs that have smaller income levels are only aware of the potential for disasters. For the vulnerability level, tourism SMEs in the District of Lembang has a high vulnerability to disasters. The aspects studied to measure the level of vulnerability are economic, social, and physical aspects. From the disaster's risk level, tourism MSMEs that become the research sample have different results from each MSME classification studied. There are three tourism MSMEs included in the micro, small and medium classification at the high-risk level. For medium risks, there are no MSMEs that are included in this level of risk. There are five tourism MSMEs included in the micro and middle classification for the low-risk level. The suggestion that resulted from this research is a disaster prevention action plan whose plans involve all stakeholders, and their implementation is closely monitored. Keywords: Disaster risk, disaster mitigation, tourism business, tourism SME

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami smart tourism destination dalam mempengaruhi  tourist experience di Kota Bandung. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara penyebaran kuesioner kepada para wisatawan yang datang ke Kota Bandung menggunakan smartphone juga melakukan wawancara dengan Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) Kota Bandung untuk menambah data mengenai penelitian ini. Analisis data metode linear berganda dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS berdasarkan data dengan skala ordinal dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa smart tourism destination berpengaruh pada tourist experience di Bandung. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan pengembangan konsep “smart tourism destination” yang dapat meningkatkan tourist experience di Kota Bandung. Kata Kunci: Bandung, Smart Tourism Destination, Tourist Experience  ABSTRACTThe aim of this study is to know the influence of smart tourism destination (X) on the tourist experience (Y) in Bandung city. The research method is quantitative. The data collection is carried out by distributing the questionnaires to the tourists who visit Bandung using the smartphone and also held the interview with Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) of Bandung City to add the data for this research. Multiple linear methods with SPSS used to analyze the data as well as ordinal scale and descriptive analysis. The results showed that smart tourism destination is influencing tourist experience in Bandung. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the tourism potential and formulate the development of the Matalafang Traditional Village as a cultural tourism destination in Alor Regency. Matalafang Traditional Village is one of the tourist destinations, where the Abui tribes live. The Abui tribe, as one of the largest tribes who inhabit Nusa Kenari Island, has various cultural potentials tourism to be developed. This is in line with the increasing number of tourists visiting. Through qualitative descriptive methods, extracting information is obtained by field observations, structured interviews with 6 key informants, documentation of traditional villages, and literature studies on Matalafang Traditional Village and Alor Regency Tourism. The results showed that the attractiveness of cultural tourism in the Matalafang Traditional Village in the form of the Balai Hatel Traditional Ceremony as a ritual to enter the garden, the Caka Lele dance, the unifying dance of the Alor community Lego-Lego, weaving Ikat for dancing, the fourth level traditional house, and various woven bamboo crafts for putting sirih pinang traditional snacks on it. The strategy formulation is an effort to develop the Matalafang Traditional Village as a cultural tourism destination, such as increasing the awareness of culture-based tourism for the local community, maintaining the authenticity of dance as a tourist attraction, increasing tourist activities after the ritual of opening the garden as alternative tourism, and maintaining the condition of the traditional village that is still original.Keywords: Destinations, Traditional Villages, Matalafang, Cultural Tourism, Development Strategies

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini penulis menganalisis tingkat kepuasan pengunjung Daya Tarik Wisata Kebun Raya Balikpapan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengunjung berdasarkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya serta menentukan faktor yang paling dominan yang mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan pengunjung wisata. Tingkat kepuasan pengunjung dibatasi pada 6 faktor yang berpengaruh yaitu pemandangan, aksesbilitas/kemudahan , keamanan atau kenyamanan, kondisi dan ketersediaan fasilitas, kondisi jalan, serta pelayanan informasi yang terdapat pada Obyek Wisata Kebun Raya Balikpapan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan data yang didapatkan melalui kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kuantitatif mean aritmatik untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengunjung objek wisata kebun raya Balikpapan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan pengunjung Daya Tarik Wisata Kebun Raya Balikpapan. Tingkat kepuasan pengunjung berada pada nilai 3,89 yang berada pada kriteria 3,40 - 4,19 yang masuk dalam kategori puas. faktor keindahan pemandangan yang memberikan sumbangan tingkat kepuasan yang tertinggi dengan nilai 4,08 kemudian faktor Kondisi jalan dan Akses atau kemudahan, dengan nilai 3,99 sedangkan faktor yang memberi tingkat sumbangan terhadap kepuasan terendah adalah faktor Kondisi Keamanan atau kenyamanan  obyek wisata dengan nilai 3,73ANALYSIS OF SATISFACTION VISITORS OF BALIKPAPAN BOTANICAL GARDENS TOURIST ATTRACTION ABSTRACTIn this study, the authors aims to analyze the level of visitor satisfaction at the Balikpapan Botanical Gardens Tourism Object. This study aims to determine the level of visitor satisfaction based on the factors that influence it and determine the most dominant factor affecting the level of visitor satisfaction. The level of visitor satisfaction is limited to 6 influencing factors, the view, accessibility / convenience, security or comfort, condition and availability of facilities, road conditions, and information services contained in the Balikpapan Botanical Garden Tourism Object. The method used is descriptive quantitative research method based on data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the arithmetic mean quantitative analysis to determine the level of visitor satisfaction at Balikpapan Botanical Gardens. The results of this study indicate that there are six factors that influence the level of satisfaction of visitors to the Balikpapan Botanical Gardens Tourism Object. The visitor satisfaction level is at a value of 3.89 which is in the criteria of 3.40 - 4.19 which is included in the satisfied category. the factor of the beauty of the scenery that contributed to the highest level of satisfaction with a value of 4.08 then the factor of road conditions and access or convenience, with a value of 3.99 while the factor that contributed to the lowest level of satisfaction was the factor of security conditions or the comfort of a tourist attraction with a value of 3, 73.Keywords: Arithmetic mean, Botanical garden,  Satisfaction level

Abstract

The development of the organization of the event now starts to vary and provides a valuable and impressive experience for many people. So, from that along with its development, the event appeared increasingly unique both in terms of concept to the venue used. One of the events that have its uniqueness is the festival. In this case, the Prambanan Jazz Festival is one of the types of events that are used as the focus of research. Organizing an event can have an impact on the surrounding community, both in terms of social, environmental, and economical. Communities in the surrounding environment will have different perceptions about the impact of the event. An event can be considered as successful if the community perceives the positive benefit from the event and give considerable support. The research method used in this study is quantitative with descriptive analysis. The purpose of this study was to find out how local people perceive the impact of the implementation of Prambanan Jazz Festival on social, environmental, and economic impacts. The result of this study indicates that the Prambanan Jazz Festival had a little social impact on local communities. The Prambanan Jazz Festival does not provide significant environmental impact from some of the main aspects of this study. In addition, the implementation of the Prambanan Jazz Festival has not affected the economy around the event area due to the absence of programs made by the event organizers to support the economy of the surrounding community.Keywords: Local Communities Perception, Prambanan Jazz Festival, The Impact of Event

Abstract

This study set out to determine whether hotel guest perceptions in five aspects of experiential marketing: sense, feel, think, act, and relate and their effects on customer loyalty in Sharia-compliant hotels. Quantitative research methods were used in this study, questionnaire assessments of experiential marketing and loyalty were collected from 100 respondents who stayed at Sharia-compliant hotels in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia. The findings show that experiential marketing was statistically significant (R2 = 0.677) as a predictor variable of customer loyalty in Sharia-compliant hotels.Keywords: Shariah-compliant hotel, Experiential marketing, Customer loyalty, Islamic Hospitality.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to assess the readiness of the two villages proposed by the Regional Government of West Manggarai Regency (Wae Sano and Wae Lolos Villages) as a tourism village using an instrument compiled through focus group discussions with stakeholders in the field of tourism village development. Therefore, the local government intend to promoting cultural attraction as an effort to reduce negative impacts at Labuan Bajo and at the same time equalize the positive impacts of tourism. The approach of quantitative descriptive method was used on data obtained through focus group discussions and observations to test the readiness of a village to become a tourist village. The data analysis technique uses the interval interpretation technique, in which there are three interval categories. The results of this study indicate that there are six variables assessed in the tourism village assessment instrument, namely 1) attractions (nature and culture), 2) accessibility, 3) amenities (public facilities and tourism support), 4) institutions and society, 5) strategy. marketing, and 6) industry. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Wae Sano villages and Wae Lolos villages can be included in the category "can be recommended to become a tourist village with a note".
