Abstract

Pengaruh Kompensasi dan Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Dosen di Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Skripsi. Yogyakarta: Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga. 2016. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan model studi korelasi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh hubungan dan besar kontribusi variabel kompensasi (X1) dan kepuasan kerja (X2) terhadap variabel kinerja dosen (Y) ketika dikontrol dengan variabel komitmen organisasi (Z) dengan mendasarkan pada teori Dua Faktor yang dicetuskan oleh Frederick Herzberg. Penelitian skripsi ini dilaksanakan di Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, dengan sampel sebesar 57 dosen dari populasi sebesar 94 dosen. Penarikan sampel didasarkan pada kaidah Probability Sampling dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah kompensasi (X1) dan kepuasan kerja (X2). Sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah kinerja dosen (Y). Dalam penelitian ini juga dipetakan variabel kontrol berupa komitmen organisasi (Z). Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket (kuesioner), wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Sementara metode analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS (Statistical Product and Social Sciences). Hasil perbandingan antara koefisien korelasi bivariat (X1 = kompensasi dan Y = kinerja dosen) dan koefisien korelasi parsial (X1 = kompensasi, Z = komitmen organisasi dan Y = kinerja dosen) menunjukkan bahwa ryx1 > ryx1z yaitu 0.317 > 0.268. Artinya, kompensasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen karena dimediasi oleh komitmen organisasi. Hasil regresi membuktikan nilai β1 = 0.153 dan β2 = 0.383, dimana kontribusi kompensasi dan komitmen organisasi mampu meningkatkan kinerja dosen sebesar 54%. Artinya, ketika dosen di Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Sunan Kalijaga memiliki kompensasi dan komitmen organisasi yang tinggi dapat meningkatkan kinerja dosen sebesar 54%. Sedangkan, pada variabel kepuasan kerja diperoleh hasil korelasi bivariat (X2 = kepuasan kerja dengan Y = kinerja dosen) signifikan yaitu 0.001 < α 0.05, sedangkan hasil korelasi parsial (X2 = kepuasan kerja, Z = komitmen organisasi, dan Y = kinerja dosen) tidak signifikan karena angka signifikan 0.086 > α 0.05, sehingga kepuasan kerja benar-benar secara linier berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen. Hasil regresi membuktikan nilai koefisien regresi kepuasan kerja (β) sebesar 0.267, dimana kontribusi kepuasan kerja mampu meningkatkan kinerja dosen sebesar 27%. Artinya, ketika dosen di Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta memiliki kepuasan kerja yang tinggi sekalipun tidak memiliki komitmen organisasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja dosen sebesar 27%.

Abstract

Islamic education and character education within the 2013 Curriculum at Senior High School in Indonesia are included in group A topics which is considered as compulsory.  The central government has formulated purposes, learning outcome competence, core competence as well as basic competence of those two topics. Thus, it requires high-quality management to achieve the standards. However, in reality,  Islamic education and character education teachers, particularly at State Senior High School I Pakem, Yoyakarta, are rarely aware of this scientific content in relation to management activities.    It is admitted there that management activity is, in fact, teacher obligation yet it is often regarded merely as routine. This research, which is aimed at describing curriculum management on Islamic education and character education with integration –interconnection scientific content at Senior High School, is a field study using qualitative approach. The subjects are Islamic education and character education teachers at State Senior High School I Pakem Yogyakarta while the object is the curriculum management of Islamic education and character education of Senior High School class X, XI and XII. Data were gathered using observation, interview and documentation which are then analyzed based on  Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. Flow model was used as data analysis including three elements namely, data gathering which was done along with data reduction using classification, topic concentration and generalization, abstraction and rough data transformation; data analysis which comprises data display, information arrangement and conclusion or data verification under the topic of curriculum management of Islamic education and character education at Senior High School particularly on planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling phase related to integration-interconnection among bayani, irfani and burhani. The result shows that, at class X, there is core topic under the themes of ”Living virtuous life” and ”Managing wakaf truthfully”, while at class XI, the core topic is ”Hi Moslem warriors, wake up and rise!”, whereas at class XII, the core topic is ”Worshiping spiritfully by believing on the doomsday”.

Abstract

This research discusses about the segmentation and the position of education servicesin order to determine its implementation in Islamic Educational Institutions. This is aqualitative research with the primary respondent for all the school community who areinvolving in the marketing process. This research used phenomenological approach,while the data was collected using observation method, indepth interviews,documentation and triangulation. The results indicates that: (1) MAN Yogyakarta IIIdefines market segmentation by applying multiple segmentation approach, namely: (a)demographic segmentation, (b) geographic segmentation, (c) psychographicsegmentation, (d) psychological segmentation, and (e) benefit segmentation. (2) MANYogyakarta III determines the position of educational services in the academic fieldwith the development of the brand “Madrasah of The Champions” that leads to thevision of MAYOGA, namely Ultraprima. Market segmentation is the first thing thatmust be accomplished by the madrasah to achieve optimum marketing results, followedby positioning. Position or image formed by the institutions has a dominant role ininfluencing public attitudes toward madrasah.

Abstract

process of learning Core Competence I (faith dimension) and Core Competence II (social dimension), channeled through school culture in sociology dimension using Looking Glass Self theory from Cooley and Three Self Elements theory from Freud. Research and Development method is employed to reveal: characteristic of faith and social dimensions in the students of State Islamic School (MAN) Wates 1in indirect instruction; which effective education model should be applied in the students’ faith and social character education. The measurement before and after treatment is conducted using observation and in-depth interview methods towards teachers and students with students’ faith and social characteristic measurement scale instrument. The analysis uses data reduction, data display, and verification. The result shows thatin a learning faith and social character educationportrait, teachers find it difficult to relate material and skill being taught with faith and social character education being ddeveloped. The in-class education model proposed includes inculcating, facilitating, modeling, and skill developing. The increase of character motivates teachers to improve their competence in buiding faith and social dimensions of the students.

Abstract

This study discusses the leadership type, style and model of the school principal of an elementary Islamic education institution, Nurul Ummah, Kotagede, Yogyakarta.  This research is qualitative in nature, with three data collection techniques: (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) documentation. The results of this study indicate that the school principal is discipline, assertive and at the same time democratic. In carrying out his duties and responsibilities, the principal does his best so that the management of the education program in the madrasah goes smoothly as the purpose. The school principal built the basis of the school by setting rules to regulate his subordinate personnel (teachers and staff) to develop and improve the educational aspects, one of which is the preparation of activities in madrasah that have a positive impact on students. The activities that are initiated by the school are: (1) prepare and manage of Madrasah activities programs; (2) improve the quality of education; (3) apply various (new) ideas to develop Madrasah programs; (4) improve the quality of human resources (human resources); (5) behave in discipline and give responsibility in carrying out duties; and (6) active in improving quality and role as a principal. Thus, the principal's leadership becomes a basic value for good change so that madrasas are ready to face all challenges and are able to compete in Islamic education. Abstract

The regulation of the Director General of Islamic Education No. 1429 year 2012 dated August 31, 2012 on the Arrangement of Study Program in Islamic Higher Education required the Department of Islamic Education (KI) to change its name to Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program which inevitably resulted in the adjustment of its graduates profile as well as its curriculum. As a consequence, this has raised some problems in terms of the implementation of the -commonly applied- professional training program. This is a qualitative research applying interviews, field notes, and documentation as its data collection methods. Sample in this research was determined by non-probability sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The result of the research shows the effectiveness of the professional training program-link and match- with the graduate profile of MPI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.   Keywords: Evaluation, Professional Training Program (PLP), Link and Match, and Graduate Profile

Abstract

Visionary is the most important character which should be possessed by Kiai, the leader of pesantren, to be ideal manager. This also applies for those who constitute the Kiai’s assistants. A pesantren led by this type of Kiai will be enlightened and considerably motivated to achieve clear long term objectives and planning. For instance, the best Islamic education system concept is pesantren with its ideal madrasah. Moreover, generally pesantren has its own feature in which the entire elements reside within the pesantren constantly obey the existing procedures. This has emerged as the result of strong obedience culture toward the Kiai who owns the greatest authority inside the pesantren and its surrounding environment. However the level of obedience will vary according to ‘government system’ implemented by each pesantren. Those pesantren also employ different strategies in their education system.

Abstract

Recently, the discussion on knowledge management particularly on the field of knowledge map has received considerable attention among theorists and pratitioners of management. Knowledge map has been considered as important tool to improve organization performance as it provides thorough pictures of organization assets, either the tangible or the intangible resources. This article attempts to discuss the significance of knowledge map implementation within organization by firstly defining knowledge and knowledge map, and then the “who” of knowledge map, the underlaying assumption of knowledge map creation, the technology of knowledge map, the dynamic knowledge map, and lastly knowledge map in academic world. It is concluded that knowledge map is an overarching device urgently needed by organization including academic institutions.

Abstract

In this era of global reform, a renewal and improvement of the quality of society is necessary in order to ensure decent changes, both in terms of education, social and cultural rights. The changes as a result of the development of science and technology is rapidly increasing, which in turn forms the characteristic of competitive environment. So there is no place in society without competition. Competition is the principle of a new life, because it is the condition for the better world. Transformation and innovation is urgently needed nowadays. Hence, it will bring significant changes as well as reform in Islamic education management.

Abstract

When the word “Islam” is attached to the subject “Education Management” and become “Islamic Education Management” it would rise a question whether or not it is a science? If It is a science, what is the assurance that truly represent it as a science? This paper tries to proof that Islamic education management could be considered as a science and it bears its own scientific paradigm. The analysis employs the critical realism school of Stephen Ackroyd in the philosophy of management as well as numbers of episthemeological issues of organizational practices by Frits Schipper that are brought to the context of Islamic education. The analysis shows that the formal object of Islamic education management is management science, whereas, its material object is management practices of educational activities in Islamic education institutions such as madrasah, pesantren (boarding school) dan Islamic schools. The researches in Islamic education management focus on facts, context, event and cases happened in that institutions, by not merely attaching Qur’anic verses in the existing theory of education management, so that it looks Islamic, since the Qur’an is also contextual with its asbabun nuzul (the causes of revelation) concept.
