Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the importance of work stress in explaining the relationship between work-family conflict and work burnout among female employees in the garment industry. High work demands and family roles make female employees prone to work fatigue, so work-family conflict is expected to increase work burnout through work stress. This study used a quantitative approach with 114 female employees who were housewives working in the production department of the garment industry as subjects. Data were collected using the work-family conflict scale, job stress scale, and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale, which had been adapted to the research context. Data analysis was performed using the Hayes PROCESS Macro Model 4 with the help of IBM SPSS version 22. The results showed that work–family conflict had a significant effect on work stress and work burnout, and work stress acted as a partial mediator in this relationship. These findings emphasize the importance of organizational and social support in helping female employees balance their work and family roles.

Abstract

The early stage of marriage is an important developmental phase, as individuals are required to adjust to new roles, responsibilities, and relational dynamics. Emotional maturity is considered a psychological factor that plays a significant role in successful self-adjustment during this period. This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment in the early stage of marriage. The proposed hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The participants were individuals in the early stage of marriage, selected using sampling techniques based on predetermined research criteria. Data were collected using emotional maturity and self-adjustment scales and analyzed using statistical correlation techniques. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between emotional maturity and self-adjustment. These findings emphasize the important role of emotional maturity in supporting successful self-adjustment during the early stage of marriage.

Abstract

Muslim-majority regions in Southeast Asia—Aceh, Mindanao, and Patani—continue to face mental health and psychosocial challenges despite reduced political violence. This systematic review examines how Islamic values are integrated into Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs in post-conflict settings. Using the PRISMA framework, 20 peer-reviewed and grey literature sources (2004–2025) were analyzed. Findings show that Islamic practices such as zikr and worship contribute to mental well-being and illness prevention, while psychospiritual interventions enhance emotional resilience and recovery. Religious leaders and institutions often exert greater influence than clinical professionals, reflecting strong community trust in faith-based support. However, implementation is limited by shortages of trained Islamic-oriented MHPSS providers, few specialized institutions, and persistent mental health stigma. This review proposes a culturally grounded MHPSS framework integrating Islamic values and highlights implications for policymakers, practitioners, and humanitarian actors supporting Muslim post-conflict communities.

Abstract

Students (santri) attending Dayah and separated from their families frequently experience negative emotions, including difficulty adapting to a new environment and a longing for the atmosphere of home, a condition referred to as homesickness. One of the factors that influences homesickness is loneliness. This study aims to examine the relationship between loneliness and homesickness among santri at dayah. This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The instruments used in this study were the loneliness scale and the homesickness scale. The sampling technique employed total sampling, encompassing all 90 santri at the dayah, aged 13 to 19 years, enrolled in grades 7 through 12. This study employed quantitative analysis using Pearson’s product moment correlation test. The results indicated a highly significant positive relationship between loneliness and homesickness among santri at the dayah, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.644 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This implies that higher levels of loneliness are associated with higher levels of homesickness, and vice versa.
