Abstract

The environment has a strategic role in the world of education, especially in the learning process. With the environment, human beings and especially learners understand and understand about education itself. Innovation continues to be developed along with the times. With this environment will change the thinking patterns and behavior of students. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the environment in improving the quality of education. The method used is qualitative, descriptive approach. The results found that the environment plays a very important role in improving educators.

Abstract

The concept Merdeka Belajarhas become an issue that is widely discussed in the world of education, the concept that voices the existence of learning is carried out in preparing the preparation ofuniversity graduates, both public and private, so that they can face the times and changes that are so fast. This article will look at 1) the form of the policy of the Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan as stated in the 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka  programsand their application to privateuniversitiesin Aceh; 2) Obstacles in the implementation of 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs at private universities in Aceh.Data was collected through literature studies, news and writings in both online and offline media, as well as interviews with leaders of private universities in Aceh. Furthermore, thedata were analyzed and strengthened with various theoretical supports in the discussion. Through literature study, it was found that there were 8 Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs, including; 1) student exchange, 2) internship/work practice, 3) teaching in educational institutions, 4) villageprojects, 5) research, 6) entrepreneurial activities, 7) independent studies and 8) humanitarian projects. Private universities have implemented several programs including studentexchange programs between study programs within universities and student exchanges with study programs outside universities, as well as teaching programs in educational institutions and internships assisted by ministry funds.The challenges faced by private universities in implementing Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka; 1) the adaptation process of the KKNI curriculum with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, 2) the partner campuses are still limited, 3) thecollaboration of private universities in Aceh with outside parties, both companies, BUMN, BUMD and even the government is still very limited, 4) fund management by foundations that have not budgeted funds for Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, 5) quality andproductivity of human resources for lecturers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to express opinions through information services for class VII-1 students of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua for the 2017/2018 academic year. This research is a classroom action research which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, the first cycle consisted of two meetings and the second cycle was carried out with one meeting. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua. The subjects in this study were students of class VII-1, totaling 32 people. The data collection tool used is an observation sheet designed to measure students' ability to express opinions. The results of this study are a decrease in student truancy behavior and an increase in students' ability to express opinions. In the first cycle there was an increase in the ability to express students' opinions using information services, namely from 0% to 31% including in the low category. Furthermore, in the second cycle there was an increase of 76% and was included in the high category.

Abstract

The outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19) as a pandemic requires learning to be carried out online (online), including in excellent high school in Banda Aceh which is one of the red zones in Aceh Province. This study aims to analyze the constraints of biology teachers at excellent High School Banda Aceh, in implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at SMA Unggul Banda Aceh, with a total sample 19 biology teachers. The type of this research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique is done using a questionnaire in the form of google form. The research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using the percentage formula. The results of the study showed there is a problem level at 72% (moderate category) experienced by the teacher during the implementation of online learning.

Abstract

The low interest of students, especially in mathematics, has long been a burden on the minds of researchers. many students who can not mention the equation of a straight line properly and correctly. In the evaluation, many student scores are below the KKM. Students seem less enthusiastic and not ready to take lessons on straight line equation material so that the class atmosphere becomes passive. This study aims: to determine the application of the make a match model in improving learning outcomes of straight-line equations for grade VIII-3 students in the even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua. This research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this class action research were students of class VIII-3 even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua Kab. Deli Serdang. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that in cycle 1, students' learning completeness in this material averaged only 69.29, while in cycle 2 by applying the make a match models, the average value increased in cycle 2 to 87.14.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains belajar siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan The Randomized Pre-test Post-test, Control Group Design yang dilaksanakan  pada  SMP Negeri 1 Gandapura, semester genap Tahun Akademik 2014/2015. Pada siswa kelas VIII (delapan) yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen 25 siswa dan kelas kontrol 24 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi untuk mengetahui kegiatan guru dan siswa selama proses belajar mengajar dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji t terhadap N-Gain kedua kelas menunjukkan nilai 0,00<0,05 yang artinya terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. N-Gain tertinggi keterampilan proses sains setiap indikator kelas eksperimen 0,63 pada indikator mengklasifikasi individual/kelompok dan terendah 0,24 pada menerapkan konsep. N-Gain tertinggi pada kelas kontrol 2,88 pada mengklasifikasi sedangkan N-Gain terendah 0,13 pada indikator berkomonikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains belajar siswa.

Abstract

Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam pembudayaan karakter nasionalisme dan religius pada siswa kelas IV dan untuk mengetahui hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan pembudayaan karakter nasionalisme dan religius pada siswa kelas IV SD IT Nurul Fikri Aceh Besar. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini 1 orang guru kelas IV dan 30 orang siswa kelas IV yang terdiri dari 16 orang siswa laki-laki dan 14 orang perempuan di SD IT Nurul Fikri Aceh Besar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan Angket. Analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan aktif dalam membudayakan karakter religius dan nasionalisme seperti kegiatan berdoa, mengaji, menghafal surat-surat pendek dan juga shalat di sekolah. Selain itu, guru juga mengarahkan siswa mengikuti upacara bendera, menghafal pancasila, teks proklamasi dan menanamkan pentingnya mengingat jasa-jasa pahlawan dalam memperjuangkan kemerdekaan. Guru menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan juga banyaknya pengaruh lainnya yang didapatkan siswa di luar sekolah. Sehingga siswa mudah terpengaruh budaya dari luar seperti senang bermain game, kurang mengingat hafalan dan juga tidak menyadari arti pentingnya sikap nasionalisme.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes in class VIII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal through group work methods. The method used is descriptive method with classroom action research design (classroom action research). Classroom action research was carried out in two cycles. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-2 SMP Negeri2 Sunggal, totaling 31 people. Based on the data analysis of the research results, the activeness of students in participating in learning increased from the first cycle of 71% in the sufficient category to 94% in the second cycle in the very good category. Student learning outcomes have increased with the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle, namely 75.48% in the sufficient category to 80.19% in the second cycle in the good category. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the group work method could improve science learning outcomes on the respiratory system material for class VII-2 SMP Negeri Sunggal.

Abstract

The low ability to understand students' texts, especially in English lessons, has long been a burden on the minds of researchers. Many students are not able to do understanding properly and correctly. In the evaluation, many student scores are below the KKM. Students seem less enthusiastic and not ready to take lessons on conversational material so that the class atmosphere becomes passive and conventional and non-variative learning. This classroom action research aims: To find out the increase in understanding of grade VIII-1 students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua in the application of Audio Visual Strategy. This research was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods and class action research approaches, which were carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection, while the subjects of this class action research are class VIII students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua. While the object is the Audio Visual Strategy. From the research conducted by examining the initial conditions of students as measured by written tests and the results of classroom action research with 2 cycles, it was seen that there was an increase in the learning outcomes achieved by students in mastering the material. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that in cycle 1, students' learning completeness in this material average value is only 69.29, while in cycle 2 by applying Audio Visual Strategy, the average value increases in cycle 2 to 87.14..
