Abstract

The difficulty of teaching scientific paper writing skills to students has caused researchers to try to integrate Indonesian language course with scientific paper writing techniques. The discovery learning model chosen by the researcher in implementing this integration causes the discovery model to be able to increase and maximize all capacities possessed by students to achieve goals. This study uses the action research method which is able to make researchers interpret all events in field for improvement purposes. This research was conducted at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Arabic Language Education Study Programs students totaling 71 students. The research steps used are: diagnosis, action planning, action taking, evaluation, and learning. The results showed that the use of the discovery learning model while integrating Indonesian language courses and scientific writing techniques was able to direct students to understand and practice writing scientific articles, even though students were still in semester one with very little knowledge of research methodology. Therefore, through this research, students will be able to practice scientific ethics in any writing of any scientific work. In addition, they will also get used to thinking scientifically by looking at concrete evidence first before making a decision or taking action.  Keywords: Scientific Articles; Scientific Papers; Integration of Courses

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Match and Share Group (MSG) learning method on the exposition writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMK Farmasi Mandala Tiara Bangsa. It employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were obtained through writing tests given before and after treatment in the experimental class. The treatment was conducted through direct instruction using the MSG method. The instruments and scoring rubrics were validated before use. Results showed a notable increase in student scores, with the average rising from 53 (pretest) to 75.86 (posttest). A normality test confirmed that data were normally distributed: Lo = 0.179 < Ltable = 0.249 (pretest) and Lo = 0.186 < Ltable = 0.249 (posttest) at α = 0.05. Homogeneity test results indicated equal variance (Fcount = 1.352 < Ftable = 4.256). Hypothesis testing showed tcount = 8.032 > ttable = 2.262, meaning H0 was rejected and H1 accepted. These findings suggest that the Match and Share Group method has a significant positive effect on students’ exposition writing skills. Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of differentiated instruction combined with flashcard media in supporting the language development of children with special needs at TK Kartika I-II Aceh Besar. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving three children diagnosed with ADHD, communication disorders, and Down syndrome, along with two classroom teachers. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that this integrative instructional approach promoted increased participation, vocabulary acquisition, and communicative responsiveness in the children. Previously passive children began to use visual cues, repeat simple words, and showed improved focus during learning activities. The study highlights the importance of language-focused, individualized interventions in inclusive education, especially for children with special needs who are accepted in mainstream schools. It recommends the integration of differentiated instruction and concrete visual media as effective methods for enhancing equitable language learning opportunities within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in inclusive early childhood education settings. Abstract

This study examines the fundamental relationship between morphology and syntax in Indonesian with a focus on the process of word formation and its implications for sentence structure. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, the research analyzed various scientific literature to identify morphosyntactic patterns in the Indonesian language. The results of the study show that morphological processes such as affixation, reduplication, and composition have a significant impact on the syntactic function of words in sentences. Derivative affixation has proven to be the most productive in changing the category of words as well as their grammatical function. The study identified five main patterns of systematic and predictable morphosyntactic relationships. The application of generative theoretical frameworks, X-bar theory, and word-based approaches provides a comprehensive understanding of morphosyntactic interactions. The pedagogical implications emphasize the importance of integrative learning that connects morphology with syntax to improve students' linguistic competence. Morphosyntactic error analysis revealed a systematic pattern stemming from a lack of understanding of the relationship between word form and function and regional language interference. Handling strategies include explicit learning, counterproductive approaches, and the use of adaptive technology. This research contributes to the development of Indonesian linguistic theory and the improvement of the quality of language learning. Keywords: Morphology; Syntax; Indonesian Learning

Abstract

Academic writing is a fundamental competency for university students as it serves as the main medium for logical, critical, and ethical communication of scientific ideas. However, many students still struggle with technical, structural, and motivational aspects of academic writing, indicating the need for innovative learning models that promote autonomy, collaboration, and reflection. Although project-based learning (PjBL) has been widely applied in language education, research on its effectiveness and implementation challenges in Indonesian academic writing remains limited. This study aims to analyze the application of PjBL in academic writing instruction and identify factors influencing its effectiveness. Using a narrative review guided by the population–exposure–outcome (PEO) framework, this study synthesizes ten empirical and theoretical articles published between 2020 and 2025 from Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar. The findings show that PjBL consistently enhances students’ academic writing skills through authentic, collaborative, and reflective learning that strengthens critical thinking, motivation, and digital literacy. However, challenges persist in pedagogical practices, psychological readiness, and institutional support. This study highlights the need for systematic instructional design, continuous scaffolding, and academic technology training for both lecturers and students to optimize PjBL implementation in Indonesian higher education.  Keywords: Project-Based Learning; Academic Writing; Higher Education

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This study aims to analyze and compare the phonological acquisition of two three-year-old celebrity children as presented in digital media content. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were obtained from the children’s utterances in YouTube videos uploaded by their celebrity parents through observation and note-taking techniques. The utterances were transcribed and analyzed based on the accuracy, stability, and variation of vowel and consonant production, including phoneme substitution and deletion. The findings indicate that both children have acquired basic Indonesia phonemes, although with different levels of articulatory stability. Issa demonstrates more consistent phoneme production, while Naka exhibits greater variability in pronunciation. Such variations are considered a natural part of early childhood phonological development. Furthermore, digital media exposure and the intensity of verbal interaction from parents as public figures provide rich linguistic input and encourage verbal expression, although they do not always result in stable phoneme articulation. This study emphasizes that children’s phonological acquisition is dynamic and influenced by individual developmental factors as well as the digital communication environment.
