Abstract

The  study on 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) microencapsulation by solvent evaporation method using polycaprolactone (PCL) as a polimer has been done. The monitored of data how the effect release of substance active toward coated during 480 minutes. From the result of disolution gave rapid disolution of microcapsulation 2,4-D higher at formula 2 rather than formula 1 and 3. This show thickly upholstry of PCL have an effect on to release of substance active. Kinetics method release of substance active of microcapsule 2,4-D following order zero, first order and equation of Higuchi.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan analisis cemaran logam berat (Pb dan Cd) dalam sediaan obat herbal di Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Rahmah Padang secara spektrofotometri serapan atom. Sampel terdiri dari 4 jenis obat herbal yaitu P, T, VA dan S. Persiapan sampel dilakukan dengan metode destruksi basah menggunakan HNO3 pekat dan H2O2 30 % di dalam labu Kjeldahl. Nilai r untuk masing-masing larutan standar  adalah 0,9996 untuk logam Pb dan 0,9952 untuk logam Cd. Kadar cemaran logam berat dalam keempat sampel tidak terdeteksi mengandung Cd, sedangkan untuk logam Pb terdapat 0,1307 ppm untuk sampel P, 0,2413 ppm untuk sampel T, 0,9683 ppm untuk sampel VA, dan 0,1025 ppm untuk sampel S. Hasil penelitiaan ini menunjukan bahwa keempat sampel tidak melebihi ambang batas cemaran logam berat yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan Republik Indonesia No 13 tahun 2014 yaitu kecil dari 10 ppm untuk logam Pb dan 0,3 ppm untuk logam Cd.

Abstract

The dissolution test four generic tablets and one branded name of parasetamol tablets has been undertaken. Method applied was in the paddle method as required by Pharmacopea of Indonesian ed. IV. Paracetamol concentration measured spectrophotometrically at maximum wave length of 243 nm in dissolution medium pH 5.8 phosphate buffer solution. The result dissolution test to comply with tolerance is not less than 80% of the labeled amount of paracetamol is dissolved in tweenty minutes. The dissolution about drown from the plot between percentage of paracetamol dissolved versus time.The percentage of paracetamol dissolved at T30 analyzed by using ANOVA test. Result showed in the dissolution rates between generic 1,2,3,4 and branded name were significant different take. Then continued to DUNNET test , only generic 2 tablets was not significantly difference whereas the other generic tablets were significant differences.

Abstract

The study about analysis of preservative sodium nitrite in beef by Spectrophotometry method has been done. The study was conducted by using which obtained from two supermarket and three traditional markets in Padang city, there are samples A, B, C, D and E. The levels of sodium nitrite in beef was determined by qualitative and quantitative analyzing. The result showed  that preservative sodium nitrite found in samples A and B, which levels in samples A was 11,325 mg/Kg and samples B was 0,575 mg/Kg. While sodium nitrite was not found in samples C, D and E. It can be concluded that the levels of sodium nitrite in samples A and B are  comply with requirements of Regulation of The Head of The National Agency of Drug and Food Control of Republic Indonesia No. 36 year 2013 which is concerning about food additives, which levels of preservative nitrite is maximum of 30 mg/Kg.

Abstract

The research about solid dispersion test of coffein used Polvinil pyrrolidone (PVP) K-30. In the current study using solid dispersion coffein using Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) K-30 and a mixture of physics. coffein manufacture solid dispersion using Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) K-30's, using the method of dissolution. The parameters tested were melting range, lift angle, specific gravity, Hausner factor, compressibility, porosity, water content, particle size distribution, the absorption of water, microscopic analysis and dissolution. Result of research coffein solid dispersion system using Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) K-30 can increase the solubility Kofein compared with the mixed form of physics. The percent of dissolution of the best in the 35th minute was the solid dispersion formula 4: 6, amounting to 79.34% compared with other formula.

Abstract

Preparation and characterization of dried herb extract of meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L.) has been done. Dried extract was made by adding lactose with a certain ratio, with the ratio of extract and lactose are: 1 : ½ (F1); 1 : 1 (F2); 1 : 1½ (F3); 1 : 2 (F4). Characters abserved were specific and non specific character of  the dried extract. Non specific character of dry extract include loss in drying values, real density, compressed  density, total ash, acid insoluble ash content. Specifik characterization extract includes identities, organoleptic, levels of water soluble exstract the levels of compounds soluble in ethanol and levels of chemical constituents. Dried extract mode with F3 has better characteristics than the other formulas. The name of the extract is Extractum Phyllanthus niruri L.Siccum. The extract was in the form of dry powder, dark brown, odor like meniran crude herb with a strong flavor. Levels of water soluble extract was 55.1077 % b/b ± 11.2218 % b/b while levels of ethanol-soluble extract 18.7214 % b/b ± 0.6733 % b/b. flavonoid levels of the dried extract was 0.2413 % w/w.

Abstract

The study about characterization of water extract of Gynura pseudochina (L.) DC leaves has been done. The study reveals the following non-spesific and specific parameters. It’s water content, density, total ash, insoluble acid ash are 78.69 + 0.21 %; 1.08 + 0.0 %; 3.99 + 0.12%; and 0.67 + 0.10% respectively. It’s bacterial count are 4.4 x 103 colonies/g and 2.3 x 102 colonies/g for fungis count. Gynura pseudochina (L.) DC also known as daun dewa in Indonesia. It has Gynura pseudochina Folium Aqueous Liquidum Extractum as it’s identity. The extract is a liquid extract, with swarthy brown colored, specific smells and tasteless. It’s contains secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tannins. The content of compounds soluble in water are 20.25 + 0.53% and soluble in ethanol are 8.59 + 0.79%. The total flavonoids content obtained using spectrophotometry UV-Visible method was 0.07 + 0.01 % w/w.

Abstract

Research on the effect of ethanol extract of  ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) on bleeding time, blood clotting and platelet count male white mice. Extracts ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) given to male white mice that had been induced with phenytoin natrium. Animal experiment is divided into 4 groups, each group consisted of  5 mice. Group 1 (control) was given phenytoin natrium at a dose of 100 mg/kg BW, group II given ketepeng cina extract dose of 100 mg/kg BW,  group III given ketepeng cina extract dose 300 mg/kg BW, group IV given ketepeng cina extract at a dose of 900 mg/kg BW. Before given phenytoin natrium, groups 1 to 4 were measured prior bleeding time, blood clotting and platelet counts on day 0 as control, then given phenytoin natrium from day 0 to day 14 and continued with the administration of the test substance to-8 to day 21. Effect observased day-to-7, 14,and 21. The results showed the extract of  ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) at a dose of 100, 300, and 900 mg/kg BW orally can affect shorten bleeding time, blood clotting and increase the number of platelet male white mice day-to-21 and the most effective dose is the dose of 900 mg/kg BW.

Abstract

The solid dispersion system of meloxicam-hydroxypropyl methylcelluloce (HPMC) 6 centipoise (cps) had been studied. The solid dispersion system was prepared by solvation method with several combination of meloxicam and HPMC were 1:1, 1:3 and 1:5. The physical mixture of meloxicam and HPMC with similar composition were used as standard. The powder of solid dispersion system and physical mixture were evaluated by X-ray powder diffraction, thermal (DTA), SEM and FT-IR spectroscopy analysis. The dissolution studies were carried out in USP type II apparatus. The result of X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that the solid dispersion of  meloxicam with HPMC decreased the drug crystallinity. The endothermic peak of meloxicam from solid dispersion products shifted to lower temperature and peak intensity decreased significantly. X-ray powder diffraction and DTA indicated transformation of crystalline state of meloxicam to amorphous one by solid dispersion with HPMC. SEM results showed the solid dispersion of meloxicam and HPMC has agglomerates form. FT-IR spectra indicated no chemical interaction between meloxicam and HPMC in the solid dispersion. The highest in dissolution rate was observed with solid dispersion products of meloxicam and HPMC with ratio 1:5 (94,083 %) compared to pure meloxicam and its physical mixture.

Abstract

Kulit dan daging buah naga Hylocereus lemairei (Hook.) Britton & Rose mengandung senyawa betasianin. Betasianin (6-O-3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl)-betanin) merupakan pigmen berwarna merah yang memiliki banyak manfaat salah satunya sebagai antioksidan. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan uji antioksidan dari kulit dan daging buah naga. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE) menggunakan pelarut air yang disonikasi pada 50 kHz selama 30 menit pada suhu 25°C, ekstrak kemudian di freeze drying selama 48 jam. Ekstrak kering diuji aktivitas antioksidannya menggunakan metode DPPH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada aktivitas antioksidan dari kulit buah naga dengan nilai IC50 28.900 μg/mL dan aktivitas antioksidan yang rendah dari daging buah naga dengan IC50 322,93 μg/mL dibandingkan dengan nilai IC50 vitamin C 7,9 μg/mL (antioksidan tinggi <50 µg/mL).
