Abstract

Research has been done on the determination of caffeine that leaves Kawa Coffee  ( Coffea robusta Linden ex DE Wildem ) by using  Soxlhetation method. Coffein from extraction purified by preparative TLC mobile phase solution  chloroform : methanol ( 9:1 ).The constration of pure Coffein from preparative TLC has been determinedby using Spectrophotometer Uv-Vis T -70 .The result Coffea Kawa leaves (Coffea robusta Limden ex De Wildem )   is 0.7 % w/w

Abstract

The determination of phenolic compounds and it’s antioxidant activity of a few tea samples of sacked tea and unsacked tea which is found at the market has been done. The Acquisition of phenolic compound content done by using Folin-Ciocalteau method and it’s antioxidant activity measurement using DPPH as an oxidant (free radical), gallat acids used as the comparison. The results showed that four samples tested unsacked tea KA has the strongest antioxidant activity among the other three samples, because It has the lowest IC50 value. The  IC50 value influenced by it’s phenolic concentration. The phenolic content from unsacked tea KA obtained 39.5487 mg/g, while on samples of tea sacked KA, sacked SW, and unsacked 2K respectively:  19.754 mg/g; 33.9279 mg/g ; and 27.9814 mg/g.

Abstract

Sebuah metode sederhana yang tepat, akurat, cepat dan ekonomis telah dikembangkan dan divalidasi untuk analisis betametason tablet menggunakan spektrofotometri ultraviolet dengan metode absorbansi dan luas daerah di bawah kurva. Penentuan metode ini dilakukan pada penyerapan panjang gelombang maksimum 241,40 nm dan luas daerah di bawah kurva pada rentang 210,40-290,40 nm dengan menggunakan pelarut asam klorida 0.1 N. Metode analisis ini divalidasi dengan linieritas, batas deteksi, batas kuantifikasi, presisi dan akurasi. Linieritas pada metode absoransi menunjukkan hasil persamaan regresi y = 0,02273x + 0,00228 dengan r = 0,99958, dengan metode luas daerah di bawah kurva menunjukkan hasil persamaan regresi y = 0,643x – 0,214 dengan  r = 0,9955. Batas deteksi dan batas kuantifikasi pada metode absorbansi 1,754531 dan  5,316812, dengan metode luas daerah di bawah kurva 3,888631 dan 11,783730. Akurasi yang diperoleh dengan metode absorbansi dan luas daerah di bawah kurva memenuhi persyaratan yang divalidasi yakni 80-120 %. Presisi yang diperoleh dengan metode absorbansi dan luas daerah di bawah kurva memenuhi persyaratan yang divalidasi dengan hasil % RSD ≤ 2 %. Analisa statistik menunjukkan dengan uji t dua sampel berpasangan yang menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode tersebut tidak berbeda secara signifikan

Abstract

Research about usage of antibiotic at Barn Eye of RSUP DR. M. Djamil Padang to year 2005 up to 2007.  Result of obtained research pursuant to data of retrospective at cataract patient, pterigium, tumor and conjunctivitis show eye patient which is higher infection of year 2005 equal to 19.49 % year 2006 equal to 18.57 % year 2007 equal to 25.67 %. So that usage of high antibiotic also in the year 2005 equal to 47.37 %. year 2006 equal to 79.79 %. year 2007 equal to 45.26 %. Usage of antibiotic pursuant to precisely indication at disease of cataract, pterigium, tumor and conjunctivitis at precise eye patient 100 % in the year 2005 up to 2007. Precisely dose usage of antibiotic at cataract patient of pterigium, tumor and konjungtivitis at precise eye 100 % in the year 2005 up to 2007. Usage of correct antibiotic of patient, precise of drug, precise is way of wearing, at type medicines amoxicillin, chloramphenicol, and precise siprofloxacin 100 % in the year 2005 up to 2007. From result of interview obtained at patient which less than five day taken care of to get continuation recipe to go home.

Abstract

Ketoprofen is a non steroid Anti Inflamation Drug (NSAID) and most of ketoprofen tablets have been sold in the market are the ones which generic names and branded names. The aim of this research is to compare the quality of ketoprofen tablets 100 mg which are taken from the generic ones and the branded ones, the date were four types of ketoprofen tablets which consist of two types generic tablets and two types of branded tablets. The measurement of ketoprofen tablets quality is based on the quality standard of ketoprofen tablets which refers to The pharmacope Indonesian the fourth editions. The quality parameter of ketoprofen tablets involved similarity test of weight and size, solodity, friability analysis, disintegration time, composition standard test and disolution profile test. Disolution profil test of ketoprofen tablets was ronducted by using paddle method, measured by spectrofotometer UV, and tested by using phosphate buffer power Hidrogen 7.4 as its medium. Then the result was gotten in 60th minutes for each sample. Sample g1 = 94.89%, sample g2 = 97.52%, sample m1= 100.10% and sample m2= 101.08%. Composition standard test of ketoprofen tablets, was conducted by using spectrofotometer UV and tested by using methanol P 75% as its medium. The result of this shows that the quality of sample g1 = 98.92%, sample g2 = 97.02%, sample m1 = 97.97%, m2 = 100,71%. The result of quality parameter test shows that both of generic and branded ketoprofen tablet fullfiks the quality standard of pharmacope Indonesian the fourth editions.

Abstract

The antimicrobial activity of endophytes microbe that symbiosis with mangosteen had been carried out. There were 12 fungal’s  isolates and 14 bacterial’s isolates had been isolated from cortex, lief, and pericarp of Garcinia mangostana L. Each fungal’s isolates were fermented in Soybean Extract Broth liquid medium for 1 week at on a rotary shaker incubator at a 25-270 C and 90 rpm speed. Each bacterial’s isolates were fermented in water corn soaked medium for 24 hours on a rotary shaker incubator at 300C and 120 rpm speed. Fermented fungal’s and bacterial’s were tested their antimicrobial’s activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans with agar diffusion methode. The result showed that J-G1 (Candida sp) and J-T1 (Candida sp) were fungal’s isolates that ware active against Escherichia coli with inhibition diameter 10 mm. J-H1 (Curvularis sp), J-G2 (Candida sp), J-T1 (Candida sp) were fungal’s isolates that were active against Staphylococcus aureus with inhibition diameter 9 mm, 11 mm and 13 mm respectively. B-T2 (Klebsiella sp)and B-K51 (Bacillus sp1) were bacterial’s isolates that were active againts Escherichia coli with inhibition diameter 13 mm and 18 mm respectively. B-H (Bacillus sp2), B-G (Bacillus sp2), B-P1 (Bacillus sp1), B-K101(Bacillus sp1) and B-K102 (Bacillus sp1) were bacterial’s isolates that were active againts Staphylococcus aureus with inhibition diameter 11 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm and 15 mm respectively.

Abstract

Ibuprofen is a non Steroid Anti-Inflamation Drug (NSAID) and most of Ibuprofen Tablets have been sold with generics name and branded name. This study is done to compare quality of Ibuprofen tablets  400 mg, there were 6 brands of tablet which they had consisted 3 brands of generic tablets and 3 brands of  branded name tablets. Determination of quality Ibuprofen tablets could be showed from standard quality of Ibuprofen tablets were based at Farmakope Indonesia and USP. Quality parameter of Ibuprofen tablets included physical tablet evaluation, assay and dissolution profile test. Dissolution profile testing of Ibuprofen tablets was performed by paddle method  and measured by Spectrofotometer UV used pH 7.2 phosphate buffer as medium. Assay of tablet was performed by Spectrofotometer UV in NaOH 0.1 N as medium. The test resulted that quality of Ibuprofen generic and branded tablets were same and fulfilled standard quality of Farmakope Indonesia and USP.

Abstract

Isoniazid merupakan obat antituberkulosis yang memiliki waktu paruh pendek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperpanjang pelepasan isoniazid dengan membentuk sediaan mikrokapsul menggunakan polimer NaCMC dengan metode pengeringan semprot. Mikrokapsul dibuat dalam 3 formula dengan perbandingan isoniazid dengan NaCMC yaitu 1:1; 1:2; 1:3. Karakterisasi mikrokapsul Isoniazid-NaCMC meliputi Penetapan kadar dan uji disolusi yang ditunjang dengan analisa distribusi ukuran partikel, SEM, XRD, DSC dan FT-IR. Penghambatan pelepasan obat paling baik ditunjukkan oleh formula 3 yaitu terdisolusi 95,33 % pada waktu 2 jam dibanding formula 1 sebesar 100,34% dan formula 2 sebesar 100,18 %. Hasil statistik efisiensi disolusi menggunakan uji ANOVA diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,000 (<0,05) dan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penambahan NaCMC terhadap laju disolusi isoniazid melalui uji Dunnet. Pemeriksaan yang dilakukan telah memenuhi syarat mikrokapsul dan mengkonfirmasi hasil disolusi. ukuran distribusi partikel telah memasuki rentang 5-5000 µm dan Morfologi SEM menunjukkan bentuk sferis. Perlambatan laju disolusi dikonfirmasi melalui pemeriksaan XRD yang menunjukkan penurunan intensitas dan derajat kristalin dari isoniazid dan penurunan nilai entalpi pada pemeriksaan DSC serta tidak adanya interaksi kimia antara isoniazid-NaCMC pada pemeriksaan FT-IR.

Abstract

The research on antioxidant activity test and the determination of the degree of vitamin C from fruit extracts purplish red dragon (Hylocereus lemairei (Hook.) Britton & Rose) has been done. On this research fresh dragon fruit meat mashed with blender and maceration methode used ethanol solvent 96% with three repetitions. The results of maceration evaporated with rotary evaporator until viscous extract. The test of free radical DPPH deterrent and the determination the degree of vitamin C in extracts purplish red dragon fruit (Hylocereus lemairei (Hook.) Britton & Rose) using vitamin C as a comparison. On the antioxidant activity test, extract was made with various concentration i.e. 1000 µ g/mL, 1500 µ g/mL, 2000 µ g/mL, 2500 µ g/mL, 3000 µ g/mL, obtained the percentage of antioxidant activity was 28.57 %, 34.67 %, 41.81 % , 46.13 %, and 51.78 %. On the determination of the degree of vitamin C extract, the extract is made with concentration 1000 µ g/mL used spectrophotometer UV-Vis showed that the degree of vitamin C in extracts purplish red dragon fruit (Hylocereus lemairei (Hook.) Britton & Rose) was 24.79 mg/100 g dragon fruit.
