Abstract

Perineal rupture is defined as a tear that occurs when the baby is born, either spontaneously or with an instrument or action (1). In 2017 in Indonesia, 75% of mothers who gave birth vaginally experienced perineal tears/perineal rupture. It was found that of a total of 1951 mothers who gave birth spontaneously vaginally, 57% of mothers received perineal stitches, namely 28% due to episiotomy and 29% due to spontaneous tearing (2). Every mother who undergoes labor and experiences perineal rupture will feel pain, and one effort to reduce pain in perineal wounds is by providing classical music. Music can help someone become more relaxed, reduce stress, create a sense of security and prosperity, relieve sadness, make them happy, and help and relieve pain. PMB Murtinawita is one of the midwife clinics that provides care during the postpartum period. From the results of observations, around 50% of deliveries were carried out by episiotomy and 30% rupture occurred due to spontaneous tearing. The aim of this research is to create a music therapy design for perineal wound pain in postpartum mothers at the Murtinawita Independent Midwife Practice in 2023. This research design uses research and development (R&D), which is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of certain products. The population in this study was 28 postpartum mothers with perineal wounds at the Independent Midwife Murtinawita Pekanbaru Practice. Data analysis in this research is univariate analysis.Data statistics show that the interpretation of all components is 100% good/satisfactory. From the Attractiveness, Stimulation and Dependability components, the value is very good/extraordinary, this is because the music therapy used in this study is relaxation music, where relaxation music is music with various artistic styles that plays slowly. like natural sounds that create relaxation and optimism. So it can be concluded that the music therapy carried out brought positive results for postpartum mothers with perineal wound pain. It is hoped that this music therapy design can be given to postpartum mothers with perineal wound pain so that it can help reduce pain in perineal wounds.

Abstract

The number of births via Caesarean section continues to rise worldwide. Caesarean births have a five-fold higher risk of complications compared to normal births. One of the problems that arise after a Caesarean section is severe pain in the surgical wound. Post-Caesarean pain management can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Non-pharmacological methods include deep breathing relaxation and classical music. These two techniques are able to significantly reduce pain intensity. This study aims to compare between relaxation techniques and classical music therapy in an effort to reduce pain levels in patients undergoing Caesarean section at Permata Hati Duri Hospital. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test research design. The sample size in the study was 74 respondents, divided into 37 respondents using deep breathing relaxation techniques and 37 respondents using classical music techniques. Sample selection was done using purposive sampling. The research instrument used the Wong-Baker face rating scale with a scale of 0-10. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test, while to compare between the two techniques, the Mann-Whitney test was used. The results showed that there was a difference in pain scale between before and after the intervention, both using deep breathing relaxation techniques and using classical music with a P-value of 0.000. To see the difference in the decrease in pain scale using deep breathing relaxation techniques or using classical music, the results showed that there was no difference in the decrease in pain scale after therapy using deep breathing relaxation techniques and classical music in post-Caesarean section patients. It is hoped that deep breathing relaxation techniques and classical music can be an effective approach to alleviate pain in mothers after Caesarean section

Abstract

ABSTRACT Community habits can influence mothers' actions in providing MP-ASI before the baby is given MP-ASI. Apart from that, according to the mother, a crying baby shows that the baby is still hungry, so additional food must be given. This is one of the failures in providing exclusive breastfeeding to babies before they are more than 6 months old. Giving MP-ASI too early has short-term and long-term impacts. According to WHO, babies who receive complementary foods before the age of 6 months are 17 times more likely to experience diarrhea and 3 times more likely to develop upper respiratory tract infections (ARI) than babies who are exclusively breastfed and receive MP-ASI on time. The method used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The data used in this study is primary data obtained directly by distributing questionnaires to respondents. This research was conducted in the working area of the Payung Sekaki Community Health Center, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The sample in this study was mothers who had babies aged 6-24 months with a total sample of 163 people. The aim of the research is to determine the influence of family support and cultural traditions on the accuracy of giving MP-ASI. The research results show that there is a relationship between family support and family traditions on the accuracy of providing MP-ASI with a P value <0.005. This shows that the provision of complementary foods is influenced by family support and cultural traditions.

Abstract

Background: Early marriage remains a significant challenge in developing countries, including Indonesia, which ranks fourth globally in child marriage cases. According to UNICEF (2023), there are 25.53 million child marriage cases in Indonesia. In 2022, the rate of early marriage in Bangkalan, Madura, continued to show an increasing trend, with an annual rise of 1.71%. The Marriage Age Maturity Program (PUP) aims to increase the minimum age of marriage to 21 years for women and 25 years for men. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge of marriage maturity and adolescent attitudes toward early marriage. Methods: This research uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 10th- and 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Kamal, with a sample size of 183 respondents selected through cluster random sampling. The independent variable is knowledge of marriage maturity, while the dependent variable is adolescents' attitudes toward early marriage. A questionnaire was used as the instrument, and data analysis was performed using the Spearman rank test. Results: The study shows that most respondents (72.7%) have good knowledge about marriage maturity. Respondents with good knowledge tend to have a positive attitude or do not support early marriage (90%). The Spearman rank test revealed a p-value of <0.001 (<0.005), indicating a significant relationship between knowledge of marriage age maturity and adolescents' attitudes toward early marriage, with a low correlation level (r = 0.312). Recommendations: It is recommended that schools, particularly counseling services, conduct educational sessions on the importance of marriage age maturity to enhance adolescents' knowledge and prevent early marriage.
