Abstract

This study aims to identify the ability to solve story problems on multiplication material in grade II elementary school. The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and interviews. The instrument used was a test of the ability to solve the multiplication material story questions and interview guides. The test of the ability to solve the story questions used is in the form of an essay which consists of 4 questions. The data analysis used was technical triangulation. The results showed that: (1) the ability to write down the known aspects was 87,5% in the very good category. (2) the ability to write down the aspects being asked is 80% in the good category. (3) the ability to solve mathematical models is 67,5% in the good category. (4) the ability to draw conclusions is 62,5% in the sufficient category. Thus it can be interpreted that the better the achievement indicators possessed by students, the better the ability to solve the story questions.

Abstract

There are many learning methods that can be applied to achieve success in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the demonstration method with bottle cap media and how much influence the application of the method had on the learning outcomes of first grade students of SDIT Budi Utomo Makassar. Quantitative research approach, the type of experiment with Pre-Experimental Design (nondesign) with the form of One-Shot Case Study research. This research is located at SDIT Budi Utomo Makassar with a population of grade I students for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, so the sample was 21 students. Data collection techniques: tests, observations and documentation. Analysis technique: Descriptive and inferential statistics, paired sample T-Test hypothesis testing. The results showed that teachers used used bottle caps as a medium in the implementation of the demonstration method. This activity stimulates students to think about solving problems that contain puzzles so as to encourage students to be interested in paying attention to the demonstration activities. The application of the demonstration method with bottle cap media has an effect on learning outcomes for class I students at SDIT Budi Utomo Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation and problems of WhatsApp-based online learning on theme 4 grade VI SD Negeri Pengkol Jepara. This research method is a qualitative research using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of WhatsApp-based online learning at SD Negeri Pengkol Jepara has been carried out well. The school's online learning implementation uses WhatsApp as the main media or platform in carrying out online learning. There are several problems experienced by teachers including the difficulty of ownership of student facilities which are very limited and then the learning time given by the teacher is not as expected by the teacher. As for the problems experienced by students in online learning, among others, students do not really understand or even understand the material that has been delivered by the teacher because it is only a learning video. Then the students were too bored and lacked interest in listening and understanding the learning video until it was finished. Lack of understanding of students in the end in doing assignments or tests cannot be maximized, carelessly not even doing assignments.

Abstract

This research is based on the government's policy to enforce online learning in schools. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of online learning at SD Negeri Tondokert. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research. The data sources of this research are teachers, fourth grade students. The data obtained from this research are in the form of interviews and documentation. Based on the research findings from the analysis and discussion that have been described, the researchers obtained the results of the analysis that the implementation of online learning in class IV SDN Todokerto utilized various applications including whatsapp, google foam, zoom meeting,. For the evaluation given by the teacher to students through test paper and google form. The weakness in online learning is that the material cannot be conveyed in its entirety, and there are still many students who do not have their own devices, on the other hand online learning has advantages including being flexible, it can be done anytime and anywhere, teachers and students can use applications such as Google Forms, Zoom Meetings. In online learning, of course, there are supporting factors, including gadgets, internet networks, as well as parents and the environment.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has made the education system a bit of a bottleneck. Almost all regions implement online learning systems. This study discusses the implementation of online learning with the aim of knowing the online learning system for fifth grade students, knowing the implementation of online learning for fifth grade students, and evaluating the implementation of online learning for fifth grade students. In this study, the authors used qualitative research methods with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects of this research are the principal, fifth grade homeroom, and fifth grade students. Research is carried out directly at school and online. The results of this study include: 1) the implementation online learning has been carried out since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic or in March 2020, 2) online learning evaluation is carried out by the teacher to find out the obstacles that occur during online learning, and 3) the response of teachers and students during online learning is that the teacher has difficulty delivering material while students also find it difficult to receive material explanations.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of parents of students of grade IV SDN 1 Gubug in accompanying children learning from home whose implementation appears obstacles so that it has an impact on learning outcomes. This research method is descriptive qualitative research with the main subject being the parents. Based on the results of research analysis whose data collection using interview techniques, observations, questionnaires, and documentation obtained the results that parents of students of grade IV SDN 1 Gubug maximum carry out their role accompanying children to learn from home. The mentoring category is Very Good with a percentage of ˃81%. Learning assistance by parents is: as a learning guide, facilitator, motivator, and creating learning condusivity. Parents have difficulty accompanying learning. The category of constraints is "Low" with a percentage of ≤60% caused by: educational background, economic limitations, time manajemen, lack of material understanding, busy work, and crowds due to the large number of people at home. So that the implementation of mentoring and constraints related to students' online learning outcomes shows 55.6% of students get an average score of 81-90 and the category of learning outcomes is good.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative research that aims to examine the effectiveness of the principals’ managerial functions on teachers’ performance of the Cluster III in Makassar Subdistrict of Makassar City. The independent variable of the study was the principals’ managerial functions, while the dependent variable was the teachers’ performance. The population of the study was the Elementary School of Cluster III in Makassar Subdistrict of Makassar City. The samples were the principals and homeroom teachers of grade V with a total of five principals and five homeroom teachers. The data of the study were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the description of the managerial competence of the Principals of Elementary Schools of Cluster III in Makassar Subdistrict of Makassar City shows that the competence of schools’ principals is in good category based on three aspects, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. The effectiveness of the Principals’ Managerial Competence on Teachers’ Performance shows that the principals’ managerial skills has been conducted or it is categorized as good, especially in terms of cooperation and achieving educational goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze how the implementation of discipline character education in online learning for fourth grade students of MI Miftahus Shibyan, Jepara Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a naturalistic approach with descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the analysis of the implementation of disciplined character education by grade IV students showed good results which referred to 3 aspects, namely aspects of teaching and learning compliance, aspects of discipline compliance, and aspects of obedience to study hours. This is based on the results of the questionnaire 19 parents of students obtained the results of 84.7%, the results of observations by researchers 68.4%, and the results of interviews with classroom teachers who stated that student discipline was only improved by increasing enthusiasm for learning. The undisciplined attitude shown by some students was due to laziness and the limitations of the learning media used. The conclusion is that the implementation of character education by students is done quite well in online learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the recitation method with moeko learning media (ecosystem monopoly) to improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This type of research is quantitative research using Pre-Experimental Design (non-design) research with one-group pretest posttest design. The results of the data analysis of students' pretest learning outcomes showed that they obtained an average of 60. While the posttest results obtained an average of 80, then the test was carried out with a comparative test. Then from the t-test, obtained  >  which is 2,755 > 1,997 so that  is rejected and  is accepted, meaning that the students' posttest results are better than the students' pretest results. Student learning outcomes achieved the criteria for mastery learning through the pretest score of 8 students 24% had achieved the criteria for completeness and posttest as many as 25 students 88% had achieved the criteria for completeness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and usefulness of the development of learning videos based on the Scientific approach for fourth grade elementary school. The type of research used by the researcher is research and development (Research and Development) which goes through 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The learning media used were in the form of an existing learning video which was then developed into a scientific approach-based learning video for elementary school students. Based on the analysis, the percentage of media experts obtained is 96.5% with the "Very Good" criteria, and the percentage results from material experts are 95.8% with the "Very Good" criteria. Based on these results, it is known that the scientific approach-based learning video media is valid to be used as a student learning media. In the results of the percentage of teacher responses to learning video media based on a scientific approach of 92.5% and the results of the percentage of students by 95%. Based on the percentage results, it can be seen that the learning video media based on the scientific approach of theme 6 sub-theme 2 is practical and effective for fourth grade elementary school students.
