Abstract

This research aims to describe the character development of students through the Al-Qur'an tadarus program along with supporting and inhibiting factors. At the beginning of the observation at MTs Negeri 4 Sragen there was a Al-Qur'an tadarus program carried out in class, leading this activity was the teacher who taught starting from a predetermined letter. This Tadarus Al-Qur'an is carried out from Monday to Saturday together in each class, directed by the teacher before the start of the lesson. In carrying out reading the Koran, there are students who have not focused on reading, talk to their classmates, some are busy themselves, and so on. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological approach. The data sources obtained were the head of the curriculum, Qur'an hadith teachers, and moral aqidah teachers. Data analysis techniques use data reduction (investigating data), data display (data presentation), and data verification (drawing conclusions). validity of research data using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The process of developing student character through the Al-Qur'an tadarus program at MTs Negeri 4 Sragen has been going well, it can be seen from the habituation carried out by the school, including Al-Qur'an tadarus which can foster a personality that likes reading and discipline. Every morning at MTs Negeri 4 Sragen, they carry out Al-Qur'an tadarus activities before the start of lessons. Judging from some children today, reading the Al-Qur'an is not as good as makhroj and tajwid, but there are some children who are quite good at reading it. This is driven by the children themselves who stay at home playing on their cell phones more than reading the Koran with self-awareness and discipline. Therefore, schools organize Al-Qur'an reading activities to help students develop character by encouraging them to read the Al-Qur'an regularly and have the ability to read when they graduate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Islamic education values to students at MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta. The focus of discussion, namely: (1) The Implementation Process of Islamic Education Values at MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta. (2) The Role of Teachers and School Policies in the Implementation of Islamic Education Values at MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta. (3) Impact, Supporting Factors, and Obstacles in the Implementation of Islamic Education Values at MTs Negeri 1 Surakrta. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data sources were taken from primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the process of implementing the values of Islamic education at MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta includes: (1) implementing the smile, greeting, and greeting program commonly referred to as 3S, (2) reading asmaul husna, (3) recitation of the Qur'an, (4) praying, (5) dhuha prayer, (6) dhuhur prayer and cultum, (7) commemoration of Islamic holidays (PHBI). The role of teachers and school policies as supervisors and rule makers. The application of Islamic education values has had an impact on students because it has become a habit. But in its implementation, there are certainly supporting factors and also inhibiting factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural Islamic education, identify the challenges faced in teaching multicultural Islamic education, and understand teachers' strategies to overcome these challenges. This study reveals that implementing multicultural Islamic education involves the integration of religious values with a deep understanding of culture and diversity. The main challenges include traditional performance, a lack of human resources who understand this concept, socio-cultural opposition, political aspects, globalization, radicalism, and differences in views about religion and the state. Teachers have a significant role in overcoming this challenge by providing learning materials that positively reflect group differences, using multicultural textbooks, and implementing cooperative learning strategies. In addition, teachers need flexibility in adapting learning methods according to students' abilities and instilling multicultural values. The application of multicultural Islamic education has great potential for creating an inclusive, harmonious learning environment and reducing prejudice and discrimination to achieve a more inclusive society and respect for diversity.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the principal in developing students' interests and talents at SMP N 1 Colomadu. Using a qualitative approach, this research collected data through interviews with school principals, teachers, and students, as well as direct observation of extracurricular activities at school. The findings of this research indicate that school principals play a significant role in creating a supportive environment for the development of students' interests and talents. By providing adequate support and resources, school principals facilitate students to develop their interests and talents through diverse and interesting extracurricular programs. The principal also collaborates with arts and sports institutions outside the school to provide opportunities for students to develop their interests and talents. The research results show that the role of the principal has a positive impact on the development of student's interests and talents at SMP N 1 Colomadu. Student participation and achievement in extracurricular activities increase, and students are able to develop their potential more optimally. This also has an impact on student motivation and learning satisfaction. This research provides a better understanding of the importance of the principal's role in developing students' interests and talents, as well as providing recommendations for improving the principal's role in other school contexts.

Abstract

Islamic education has existed since the Prophet Muhammad SAW and continues to develop until now. Islam once reached the peak of glory, called the golden age, because, at that time, Islamic education was very developed and produced an extraordinary scientific civilization recognized throughout the world with evidence of the development of various Islamic educational institutions during the Classical period. Therefore, it is essential to know the history of Islamic education, especially during the classical era of the Umayyads and Abbasids, to learn from this history. The aim of this research is the institution of Islamic education during the Classical period of the Umayyads and Abbasids. The research method uses library research by collecting various sources of books, articles, and documents about Islamic educational institutions during the Umayyad and Abbasid eras. The results of the study show that Islamic Educational Institutions began to develop during the Umayyad period, such as the Kuttab, Khan, and other Madrasas, then reached their peak during the Abbasid era, such as the Kuttab, Library, and Observatory, elementary, middle to high-level Madrasas. However, not long after that, the Abbasids were destroyed, and Islamic education began to decline. Therefore, it is essential not to be lulled by progress glory days and to continue to love science so that Islamic education can develop as before.

Abstract

Character education is a very important tool in shaping, growing, and developing the personality of students. Education plays a very important role in improving the lives of students to become qualified and useful individuals. The existence of disciplinary activities at school is a benchmark in developing character education. The purpose of this title is to find out the application of character education through student discipline activities at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura. Given how important the application of character education is by getting used to living a disciplined life so that students who have a sense of responsibility in carrying out everything and become more effective people. In the application of character education, the role of counseling guidance is also very influential in the process of development and character-building in students. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with direct interviews by the teacher concerned through observations and interviews with school parties such as supervising teachers and students of the school. The results of the research obtained related to the application of character education here have been implemented quite well, with the existence of disciplinary activities in the form of ceremonies every Monday, the application of Monday and Thursday fasting at the beginning of each month, dhuha prayers in congregation, tadarus al-Qur'an and muroja'ah together and BTA (reading and writing al-Qur'an) which is carried out in the morning guided by the school with the aim of achieving the school's mission in encouraging graduates who are devoted, qualified, have the skills to live and berakhlaqul karimah.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Student Association is an autonomous organization that provides cadre contributions to the Muhammadiyah Association. IMM, The Islamic student movement, operates in the field of religious, social, and student affairs. This research aims to describe and determine the role of the Muhammadiyah Student Association in forming the character of commissariat student Muhammad Abduh at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. In anticipating and improving the character of children, one of them is through character education in schools (formal education). Character or personality education must be socialized, counseling, and intensive from an early age in all groups of the nation's life. The organization is also a series of activity processes that must be carried out to increase the relevance of all sources and aspects that ensure the success of the first management process by observing functions and movements in order to achieve predetermined goals. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through several techniques, namely literature or references, both journals and books. From the results of observation, interviews, and documentation, there are results that the character formation of students at the Muhammad Abduh commissariat begins with teaching the basic Tricometency ideology, namely intellectualism, religiosity, and humanity. So that it can form sensitive students. Forming character through habits or routines in IMM. Abstract

This study aims to analyze how religious moderation is implemented at the Hidayatullah Islamic boarding school in Yogyakarta and the role of millennial students at the Hidayatullah Yogyakarta Islamic boarding school in realizing religious moderation. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, which allows researchers to explore the understanding and meaning behind the development of religious moderation at the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta. Data was collected through interviews and direct observation at the Islamic boarding school. Research findings show that the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School implements religious moderation with the principle of "Tawasuth" as the main foundation, maintaining balance and preventing extremism among students. The principles of “Tawazun,” “Tasamuh,” and “Al-Adil” are implemented through various activities, creating an educational environment that supports moderation and avoids extremism. The role of millennial students at the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School is necessary, and they use technology to spread religious education, become mediators in religious dialogue, and socialize the values of moderation. Their creativity and humanitarian spirit help bridge the gap between religious traditions and the modern world. In this way, the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School becomes a place where religious moderation can develop and be realized

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the extent of PAI teacher creativity at SDN Sumbergedang II Pandaan, and also measure the learning interest of third-grade students at SDN Sumbergedang II Pandaan. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with field methods (field research). Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation at SDN Sumbergedang II Pandaan, interviews with informants, namely teachers and third-grade students, and accompanied by documentation during research in the field. The results of this study describe that: teacher creativity in presenting PAI material is shown through the use of varied learning methods such as Lecture, Question and Answer, Group Work, Discussion, Travel, Role Play, etc. As for the condition of students' interest in learning PAI subjects at SDN Sumbergedang II Pandaan, which is quite a good learning interest, but out of 24 students there are 16 students who can overcome it, there are about 5 students who still do not understand how to overcome difficulties, and there are also 3 students who cannot at all how to overcome difficulties in the subject of Islamic religious education. There is also from the teacher's success in increasing students' interest in learning, regarding the success of students' interest in learning in Islamic religious education subjects, it can be concluded that there are 10 students who are very interested in increasing knowledge in Islamic religious education subjects, then there are 9 students who are interested (standard) in increasing knowledge in Islamic religious education subjects, and there are 5 students who are very interested in increasing knowledge in Islamic religious education subjects.
