Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the reading skills of explanatory text understanding of class VIII Batusangkar 2 Middle School. Second, describe the explanatory text writing skills of class VIII Batusangkar 2 Middle School. Third, describing reading correlation understanding explanatory text with explanatory text writing skills of class VIII Batusangkar 2 Middle School. This article was written to describe reading skills in understanding explanatory texts with explanatory text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP N 2 Batusangkar. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive methods. The research design used is correlational. The population in this study was the eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Batusangkar who were enrolled in the 2017/2018 academic year totaling 245 students. Samples were taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the correlation between reading skills comprehension of explanatory texts and explanatory text writing skills of class VIII Batusangkar 2 Junior High School with 95% evidence with n-1 degrees of freedom; t-count> t-table (5.55)> (1.68). Therefore, reading skills understanding explanatory texts correlate with explanatory text writing skills. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksplanasi, Keterampilan Menulis                 Teks Eksplanasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to determine at the contribution of news listening skills against the skills of writing mews the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This research with descriptive methods. The result of this study, there are three points. First, news listening skills is more than enough in qualifying (73,06). Second, news writing skills are in good qualifying (77,88). Third, news listening skills a contribution of 11,40% to the news writing skills the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. Kata kunci: kontribusi, menyimak, menulis, berita

Abstract

                                                        ABSTRACTThe research is aimed (1) to describe ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X at SMA Negeri 12 Padang before using inkuiri strategy, (2) to describe the ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X SMA Negeri 12 Padang after using inkuiri strategy, (3) to describe the effect of inkuiri strategy to words the ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X at SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This is quantitative research combines with experimental method. Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to know the level of reading comprehension skill of students exposition of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pariaman, (2) to know the level of writing skill of exposition student of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pariaman, (3) to know correlation of reading comprehension skill written exposition with the writing skills of exposition students of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pariaman. This research type is quantitative research with correlation method. The results of this study are three, namely (1) reading comprehension skill of exposition is in BS qualification with M 87,07, (2) writing skill of exposition is in qualification B with M 84,66, and (3) there is significant correlation between the reading comprehension skills of the exposition essay with the writing skill of the exposition of the students of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pariaman. Based on data analysis and discussion, in improving writing skill of exposition is required to read comprehension skill of exposition. Kata kunci: Korelasi, membaca pemahaman, karangan eksposisi, keterampilan menulis

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the correlation vocabulary with exposition text writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This research data is the result of the test writing skills scores exposition text using descriptive methods. Data were collected through performance tests. The results of this study is the correlation vocabulary with exposition text writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang at significant level of 95% with degrees of freedom (n-1), were tvalue >ttable (2.89> 1.67). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of tvalue was bigger than ttable. Kata kunci: korelasi, kosakata, keterampilan, menulis teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the persentage of students receptive experience in short story literation in second grade of SMP 6 Solok. (2) to describe students skill of writing short story in second grade of SMP 6 Solok. (3) to know the correlation of students receptive experience of short story literation and students skill of writing short story in second grade of SMP 6 Solok. The data of this study were the score of questionnaire about receptive experience of short story literation and students essay about students skill writing short story. The primary source of data were written test of students in second grade of SMP 6 Solok. Data were collected by (1) giving the questionnaire in form of five possible answers. (2) giving the essay test about short story. The findings of this study about the students receptive experience in short story literation and students writing skill of short story of second grade of SMP 6 Solok were in good classification (80,02%) and average (55,55%). Kata kunci: Pengalaman Reseptif, Keterampilan Menulis

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of implementation mind mapping techniques toward writing exposition skill ten grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Solok District Subdistrict Gumanti Fistula. This research is quantitative research with experiment method and used the one group pretest-postest design. The research population and sample was the eight grade students of SMA Negeri 1 SolokDistrict Subdistrict Gumanti Fistula in the academic year 2016/2017. The samplingtechnique usedispurposive sampling, the obtainable based on the sampling technique are X.1 class as sample of this research. The result of this research is there was a significant effect of the implementation of mind mapping techniques toward writing exposition skill ten grade students of SMA Negeri 1Solok District Subdistrict Gumanti Fistula by freedom degree n-2 with significants rate 95% and tobservation  isbiggerthanttabel thatis6,40>1,70. It means, mind mapping techniques was effective use in writing eksposition of observation skill ten grade students of SMA Negeri 1Solok District Subdistrict Gumanti Fistula . Observe the benefit and effectiveness of mind mapping techniques, it proved that mind mapping techniques can use as reference and developing of inovation toward writing a script drama one round skill. Kata kunci:  pengaruh, mind mapping, teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article has been writing techniques influence modeling text writing skills against the complex procedure of grade XI 1 — Tapan. This research is quantitative research with quasi experiment method of the one group pretest-postest design. The data in this study is the writing skills test score of complex procedure text grade XI 1 — Tapan before and after using the technique of modeling. The data obtained through test performance.  Based on the results of data analysis, researchers concluded three things here; First, complex procedure text writing skills of students of Class XI 1 — Tapan before using the techniques of modelling are at Sufficient qualifications (62.02). Second, complex procedure text writing skills of students of Class XI — 1 using the technique of modeling after the Tapan is at Good qualifications (78.57). Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) are accepted on the degrees of confidence and degrees of freedom (dk) = (n-1) because thitung > ttabel (7.10 > 1.70). In other words, modeling techniques to complex procedures text writing skills of students of Class XI 1 — Tapan. Kata kunci: Teknik Pemodelan, Pengaruh, Keterampilan, Teks Prosedur Kompleks

Abstract

ABSTRACT                                                                                         The purpose of this study are describe (1) the ability of reading comprehension class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang, (2) the ability to write essays arguing class X students of  SMANegeri 6 Padang, and (3) the correlation between of reading comprehension skills and the ability to write an essay arguing class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang. The data in this study were collected by using an objective test and a performance test. The result of the study are (1) the ability of reading comprehension class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang are in more than enough qualification with the average value 71.04, (2) the ability to write essays arguing class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang are more than enough to qualify with the average value 75.81, (3) there was a significant correlation between of reading comprehension skills with the ability to write an argument essay class X SMA Negeri 6 Padang because based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% significance level and degrees of freedom n-1 with t count> t table, which is 7.37> 1.70.            Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis karangan argumentasi
