Abstract

There are five objectives of this research. First, describe standard sentences in terms of clarity of sentence structure. Second, describe standard sentences in terms of logical meaning. Third, describe standard sentences in terms of word savings. Fourth, describe standard sentences in terms of standard. Fifth, describe standard sentences in terms of spelling accuracy. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The background of this research is the students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. The research entry is in the form of a report text on the observations of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau which was obtained from research data sources. There are five indicators reviewed at SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam, namely clarity of sentence structure, logical meaning, word efficiency, word standardization, and spelling accuracy. Attendance in key research instrument (human instrument). The source of the research data was obtained by giving the report text assignments on the results of the observations to the students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam. The data collection technique used is the study of documentation. The data validation technique used is the triangulation technique. There are five results of this study. First, the standard sentence form in terms of structural clarity, namely SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam has 2 canteens. Second, the form of the sentence in terms of logical meaning, namely the prayer room is one of the places available in schools for prayer. Third, the form of the sentence in terms of word savings, namely Mading is an abbreviation of Wall Magazine. Fourth, the form of sentences in terms of standard words, namely SMAN 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam is a place for students to study. Fifth, sentence form in terms of spelling accuracy, namely the first canteen is located next to class XI IPA, while the second is located next to the new class.Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that standard sentences and non-standard sentences were found in the report text of the observations of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. The form of standard sentences and non-standard sentences is measured based on five predetermined indicators, namely structural clarity, logical meaning, word efficiency, word standardization, and spelling accuracy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to describe the forms of expressive acts in the film Milly and Mamet directed by Ernest Prakasa, to describe the speech strategies in the film Milly and Mamet directed by Ernest Prakasa, and their implications for learning Indonesian. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research became a research instrument in this research. The data of this research are all expressive speech acts of speakers and partners in the film Milly dan Mamet directed by Ernest Prakasa from beginning to the end. The data collection technique is the note-taking technique in this research is a detailed desriptive technique. Data analysis techniques consist of four steps, a) data identification, b) data classification, c) data interpretation, and d) making conclusions. Based ond the results of this research, the most dominant expressive speech act used in Ernest Prakasa film Milly and Mamet is the expressive speech act to blaming while the least used expressive speech act is the expressive speech act to expressing condolences. In the Ernest Prakasa directed film Milly and Mamet, the most dominant speech strategy used was speaking frankly without preamble, while the least used speech strategy was vague. This research has implications for learning Indonesian in the response text of class IX students in odd semesters. Keywords: Expressive speech acts; speaking strategy; film Milly and Mamet.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect before using DRTA on the reading comprehension skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Matur students and after using the DRTA strategy in reading comprehension skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Matur students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a research design that uses the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Matur. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data of this research is the value of reading comprehension skills of tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Matur before and after using the DRTA strategy. Data were analyzed by t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect before and after using the DRTA strategy in reading comprehension skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Matur, namely tcount > ttable (3,52>1,71). The average reading comprehension ability of tenth graders of SMA Negeri 1 Matur after using the DRTA strategy was higher than before (94,87>47,37). Thus it can be concluded that the DRTA strategy has a significant effect on the reading comprehension skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Matur.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is as follows. First, describe the cultural value contained in the novel9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan. Second, describe the implications for language learning. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data in this study are words, phrases, and sentences in the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan which relates to cultural values that are traced based on the speech or actions of figures that can be formulated as cultural value data. The data source in this study is the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan published by publisher Gramedia in Jakarta in July 2013 which consists of 221 pages. The novel already has an ISBN and Copyright Act. As for the basis in establishing the object of research is the part that contains the cultural value of human relations with God, the cultural value of human relations with oneself, and the cultural value of human relations with others. Instruments in this research, namely library studies and record techniques. Data analysis is done, namely describing, classifying, analyzing data, and compiling reports. The results of this study are as follows. First, the cultural values in the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan found three types of cultural values that each have several parts. The three types of cultural values are the cultural value of man's relationship with God, the cultural value of human relations with oneself, and the cultural value of human relations with others. Second, the cultural values in the novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns by Iwan Setyawan can be implications for language learning, namely the text of the high school class XII novel.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is. First, describe compliance with the politeness principle in the comment column on the metrotvnews YouTube channel. Second, describe violation of the principle of politeness in language in the comment column on the metrotvnews YouTube channel. Third, describing the language context in the comment column on the metrotvnews YouTube channel. This research used qualitative with a descriptive method. The data are speech that contain compliance to politeness principles, violations of politeness principles from the comment column on the metrotvnews YouTube channel. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The data collection techniques used in this study were the simak bebas libat cakap technique, the documentation technique and the note-taking technique. Data analysis techniques are carried out by organizing data, describing it into units, synthesizing, compiling into patterns, and making conclusions. The research results show three things. First, found 59 data on compliance with the politeness principle consisting of 2 compliance with tact maxim, 25 compliance with approbation maxim, 9 compliance with agreement maxim and 23 compliance with sympath maxim. Second, there were 41 violations of the politeness principle consisting of 12 violations with tact maxim, 1 violation with generousity maxim, 24 violations with approbation maxim, 2 violations with agreement maxim and 2 violations with sympath maxim. Third, the language context  is polite, and impolite. It can be concluded that. First, the most dominant form of compliance politeness principle is approbation maxim. Second, the most dominant form of violation politeness is a approbation maxim. Third, the most dominant language context in the comment column on the metrotvnews YouTube channel is polite. This research can be implicated in persuasion text learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan penggunaan bahasa iklan yang terdapat pada iklan layanan masyarakat melalui instagram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah bentuk dan bahasa pada iklan layanan masyarakat yang diperoleh dari beberapa postingan instagram. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini ada dua sebagai berikut. Pertama, ILM berdasarkan isinya ditemukan 11 iklan tentang kesehatan, 9 iklan tentang covid-19, 6 iklan tentang lingkungan, 3 iklan tentang narkoba, 2 iklan tentang media elektronik, 2 iklan tentang eksploitasi sosial dan 7 tentang media sosial. Semua iklan layanan masyarakat bersifat non komersial. Tujuan iklan layanan masyarakat tersebut adalah untuk menginformasikan dan mengajak masyarakat. Kedua, iklan layanan masyarakat menggunakan gaya bahasa yang menarik, pemilihan kata yang tepat dan mudah dipahami, menggunakan slogan yang menarik, menggunakan kalimat persuasif, serta sudut pandang orang pertama tunggal, orang kedua, dan orang ketiga. Untuk penggunaan bahasa iklan layanan masyarakat di instagram hampir sama dengan iklan layanan masyarakat pada umumnya. Namun perbedaannya terletak pada pemilihan kata (diksi) pada caption iklan layanan masyarakat yang cenderung tidak baku dan menggunakan bahasa gaul yang mudah dipahami masyarakat. Bahasa iklan layanan masyarakat di instagram memperhatikan kehematan kata dan kelogisan kata yang digunakan.

Abstract

Speech in language is one part of the results of the interpretation of the human speech apparatus. Speech is closely related to the mindset of the person who pronounces it. The existence of social media, which is very developed today, is considered to make it easier for someone to convey thoughts or feelings to others. The development of social media today, raises perpetrators of language crimes as examples of hate speech. The hate test is carried out against one person against another. In line with that statement. This study aims to describe the language used by the perpetrators of hate speech to Lesty Kejora in the Instagram comments page, @Lambe_Turah. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. The source of the data used in this study is the comments of netizens contained in the comments page of the Instagram account @lambe_turah related to the news of the birth of Dangdut's first son Lesty Kejora. Data collection was carried out using the listen method by listening to comments written by netizens on the @lambe_turah Instagram comment page. The data collection technique in this study used tapping techniques and advanced techniques, including free-to-talk. The references used are the opinions of experts conveyed through research that is relevant to this research. The results showed that hate speech was found with 20 expressive utterances, 7 assertive utterances, 18 directives and 15 declarative utterances. Overall, Warganet made hate speech against Lesty Kejora, because of their lack of understanding in reading, they only participated between one netizen and another, reciprocating comments, resulting in hate speech that has the potential to be legal and have legal implications.

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of the educational value in my first hijab nove, as well as its use in literary learning in class XI at SMK. The objectives to be achieved are to describe and analyze what educational values are contained in the novel Jilbab Pertamaku Karya Asma Nadia, which can applied in literary learning in class XI at SMK through the novel Jilbab Pertamaku. In this study using a descriptive narrative technique, with a qualitative approach to content analysis and the subject of this study is the novel Jilbab First by Asma Nadia. This research is focused on problems related to the educational value contained in the novel Jilbab Pertamaku, which is then adjusted to the application of students' daily lives. Data collection techniques and instruments used read and note while the instruments used data cards. The validity of the data was obtained through validity and reliability using source and intraratter triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the educational value contained in the novel Jilbab Pertamaku by Asma Nadia includes religious values, toughness, caring, and honesty. Of these four values, the novel Jilba First by Asma Nadia can be used as literary learning in class XI at SMK because the language in the novel is easy to understand, can be used as learning to apply educational values, is a reading that has good moral values. for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter dan permasalahan psikologis tokoh utama dalam novel Gadis Yang Menghafal Puisi karya M Shohim Haris dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang digunakan adalah kutipan dialog dari tokoh utama dalam novel, seorang gadis yang menghafal ayat-ayat yang menunjukkan karakter tokoh utama. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik membaca dan mencatat sebagai teknik lanjutan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tokoh Totok Lai dalam novel Gadis menghafal puisi-puisi karya M Shohim Haris. Apa penokohan dan permasalahan psikologis tokoh utama Lai dalam novel Gadis Penghafal Ayat karya M Shohim Haris.  Kata Kunci: Karakteristik, Masalah, Psikologi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe vocabulary mastery, exposition text writing skills and analyze whether there is a contribution between vocabulary mastery to the exposition text writing skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The contribution is calculated by the determinant coefficient formula, using a correlational research design. The population of this study was class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Koto XI Tarusan with a study sample of 52 people. This research instrument is an objective test for vocabulary mastery and a performance test for exposition text writing skills. The result of this study is that the vocabulary mastery of class X students is at a qualification of more than enough in the range of 66-75 on a scale of ten with an average count of 73.75, the exposition text writing skills of class X students are in good qualifications in the range of 76-85 on a scale of ten with an average count of 83.74, the mastery of vocabulary of class X students contributed by 55.35% to the exposition text writing skills of class X students with H0 in the research rejected, while H1 is accepted because the calculation is greater than the ttable (7.87 >1.68). Thus it is concluded that mastery of vocabulary contributes to the skill of writing expositional texts at a significant level of 95%, that is, the calculation is greater than the ttabel with dk =n-1.
