Abstract

Students’ competency in learning of Biology at class X MIA2 of SMAN 2 Solok Selatan are not optimum yet. It is necessary to increase students’ competency by implementing cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together type. This research aim to approve students’ competency in learning Biology by applied of Numbered Heads Together Model. This research done in two cycles ( P1 and P2 plus 1 precycle P0). Each cycle consisted of three lessons. There are four phases in the cycle; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments of the research were observation sheet on the teachers activities, learning competence and questionnaire research. The data was collected through observation and a learning achievement test. The data analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the students’ activity and competency were increase. The students’ achievement involved the cognitive, that is the number of students who passed were P0 64,00%, P1 76,00% to P2 88,00%. The students affective were P0 56,00%, P1 63,07% to P2 77,73%. and the students’ psychomotoric were P0 59,00%, P1 68,28% to P2 78,71%. Research questionnaire containing statements student responses to the application of Numbered Heads Together Model increased from P1 80.86% to P2 84.93% . It can be concluded that the using of Numbered Heads Together increased students’ competency in learning Biology at X MIA2 class of SMAN 2 Solok Selatan.

Abstract

The learning process will be more meaningful by doing together to form a community, it will be improve the achievement of the competence of students. Strategies that can create a learning process together is a Learning Community (LC) strategy. LC strategy can be applied through learning models, especially learning models that require joint discussion and problem solving. One such learning model is the inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of the implementation of the LC strategy through the inquiry learning model to the achievement of the attitude competence of students. This research conducted at SMPN 12 padang class VIII about the structure and function of plant tissue materials. This research is a experimental research with Non-Randomized Control Group Post test Only Design. The population of this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 12 Padang. The sample in this research is all students of class VIII.2 and VIII.3 SMPN 12 Padang. Data of this research obtained by used observation method and analyzed by used statistic t-test. The result showed that eksperimental class and control class have different achievement of the attiude competence with t calculate is 3,98 and t table is 1,67 with α 0,05. It showed that t calculate > t table, so it concluded that LC strategy through inqury learning model can improved the achievement of the attitude competence of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of implementation of learning model of active learning type Firing Line to science learning result of grade VII SMPN 2 Padang on material classification of living creatures and matter. This research is based on problems at SMPN 2 Padang which is still dominated by teacher-centered learning so that the students knowledge is limited to the material was given by the teacher, so that students get bored faster during classroom learning process. This research was categorized into experimental research using Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The sample of this research was chosen by purposive sampling method. The subjects of this research are two different classes; the first class is VII4 as the experimental class using learning model of active learning type Firing Line andVII5 as the control class using conventional of learning. Data of students learning outcomes were analyzed by using t-test analysis. The result of the research are according to the learning outcomes which is using t-test it showed that the learning outcomes of experimental group is better than control group with thitung(4,42) ˃ ttabel(1,67) which means the research hypothesis is accepted and student activities show that learning process using the learning model of Active Learning is better with percentage 77% than the conventional of learning with percentage 75%.

Perceptions of people who still think taboo about sex education to adolescents become a cause that must be addressed to equip adolescents against the flow of globalization is increasingly transparent. One of the prevention efforts conducted is sexual education from an early age and more intensified in adolescence. The purpose of this study is the application of learning models and teaching materials of sexual education in accordance with the characteristics of adolescent learners, where at this age prone to sexual deviation. Sex education teaching materials synergize with the core competencies and basic competencies that have been set in the Curriculum 2013 for class IX SMP. The research and development model used in this research is Thiagarajan development model consisting of four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate.
