Abstract

WHO states that Indonesia is ranked 5th in the world for the highest prevalence of stunting, and one of the provinces that contributes to the highest number of stunting cases is West Java. Problems that occur in teenagers related to reproductive health are one of the factors in Indonesia's high stunting rate. Stunting prevention can be done by reducing the number of risk factors, one of which is by providing health education to teenagers. This community service aims to increase teenagers' knowledge regarding stunting through health education related to understanding nutrition and the impact of early marriage on teenagers. The activities were interactive lectures using media like power points, leaflets and posters. The sample from this research was representative of class X and XI children at SMAN 1 Baleendah. Wilcoxon test showed p<0,05. It was found that there was an increase in teenagers' knowledge before and after health education was carried out. From these results, it can be concluded that implementing the "STUNTGUARDS" activity at SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah increased students' knowledge about stunting, balanced nutrition, and early marriage as risk factors for stunting. The use of the lecture method accompanied by existing audio-visual media helps teenagers to be able to capture information easily. So that teenagers' knowledge can increase significantly. Keywords: Early marriage, stunting, health education, nutrition, adolescent, stuntguards.

Abstract

Coverage of vitamin A capsules received by children aged 6-59 months in the last 12 months at the provincial level in 2018, 17.6% of children in Indonesia never received vitamin A capsules. Research regarding the need for vitamin A in school-aged children is important because there are concerns that low coverage of vitamin A capsules in toddlers can have a negative impact on the need for vitamin A in school-aged children. The method used in this research is an experimental with a research design, namely pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design with a total of 30 students as respondents. Then, this research aims to determine the effect of nutrition education through animated video media on the knowledge and attitudes of elementary school students regarding the need for vitamin A. In statistical analysis, the Wilcoxon test was carried out to evaluate knowledge with a p-value of 0.00005, and the paired T-test. The Dependent test is used to test attitudes with a p-value of 0.072. It can be concluded that school-age children's knowledge about the need for vitamin A increased significantly after they received nutrition education through animated videos, but there was no significant increase in their attitudes regarding the need for vitamin A. Keywords:  Attitude, knowledge, nutrition education.

Abstract

PKidney disease is the 10th cause of death in Indonesia, namely 42,000 per year. Most of the causes of kidney disease are hypertension, diabetes and kidney inflammation. Teenagers have risky snacking behavior, namely snacks that are high in sugar, salt and fat which affect nutritional status and become a risk factor for non-communicable diseases in the future. The partner of this activity is SMA Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta. Based on the initial study, it was found that most of the knowledge of adolescent nutrition at SMA Muhammadiyah 13 was in the unfavorable category (53.5%). The target of this activity is students who are registered at partner institutions as many as 30 students. The purpose of this community service is to increase youth's knowledge in preventing kidney disease such as consuming healthy snacks and good eating patterns by conducting nutrition education. This activity consists of 3 stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Implementation of activities consists of education and practice. The implementation of the activity was February 3, 2023. The evaluation results showed that there was an increase in the average before and after education, namely 8.03 to 9.73. The results of the statistical test showed that there was a significant difference/effect of education on students' knowledge with p=0.000. There is an increase in students' knowledge about the prevention of acute kidney failure by providing nutrition education. Students are expected to be able to apply a balanced nutritional diet to prevent suffering from kidney failure in the future. Keywords: Nutrition education, youth, kidney disease.

Abstract

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) can be used among patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) who experience Ventricular Septal Rupture (VSR) as a form of mechanical support for hemodynamics that has worsened due to cardiogenic shock. As for the cases reported, a 61-year-old male patient with ACS STEMI Infero-Anterior Extensive Killip 4 and VSR experienced chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath. Auscultatory examination found a heart murmur on 3/6 without thrills. The patient had received drugs to improve hemodynamics and was reported to have used an IABP machine. IABP uses semi-auto mode, 1:1 frequency with maximum augmentation. The patient's condition worsened, and he lost consciousness. The patient then had an endotracheal tube connected to a ventilator. Keywords: IABP, Intra-aortic-counterpulsation, ventricular septal rupture.

Abstract

Professional nurses are expected to be able to apply Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) in the nursing process. However, the facts state that nurses are not used to applying EBN. This study aimed to determine changes in nurses' knowledge about EBN before and after being given education about EBN through video conference. This research is quantitative descriptive. Method using a pre-experimental design with the design of one group pre-test and post-test through PKM program at the general hospital in Bandung. 25 nurses participated in this study taken from the number of participants who attended. The results showed an increase in pre-test and post-test scores during lectures on EBN with Sig 2 tailed value 0.00 < 0.05. Although there was increase of 14.80 in nurses’ knowledge about EBN, video conference has weaknesses when used as a learning media. One of the weaknesses is unstable internet network constraints which had an impact on the quality of learning received by participants. Keywords: Evidence-based nursing, nurses, video conference

Abstract

In the National Health Insurance (JKN) era, hospitals in Indonesia rapidly grew in number and also developed.  In order to stand out amongst the competition, hospitals often rely on marketing strategies through attractive advertisements, offering unique services, and also introducing their services to the public. One method often utilized in the 5P marketing mix consists of product, price, place, promotion, and people. This study aims to identify the impact of 5P marketing mix strategies on the patients’ interest in visiting Bandung Hospital in the city of Medan. Bandung Hospital in Medan conducted this quantitative study using a cross-sectional approach. This study involved 150 patients of Bandung Hospital’s inpatient unit, which is the whole outpatient clinic patient (total sampling) during the May 2023 period. Analysis was carried out using frequency distribution, chi-square, and binomial logistic regression analysis. This study found that the majority of patients visiting Bandung Hospital belong to the 30-39 years age group (62.0%), are female (58.7%), hold a bachelor's degree (48.0%), and are visiting Bandung Hospital for the first time (62.7%). Most of the patients in this study have a good perception toward all aspects of 5P marketing strategies in Bandung Hospital and are interested in visiting the hospital again in the future (p<0.05), with place playing the biggest role in influencing patients’ interest (OR = 4.082). According to all findings in this study, it can be concluded that marketing strategies such as the 5P marketing mix strategy positively influence patients’ interest in visiting Bandung Hospital. It can also be inferred that this strategy would work in similar types of hospitals, not only in Bandung Hospital. Keywords: Marketing mix, Hospital, Product-Price-Place-Promotion-People (5P), Patients
