Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition in the first 1000 days of life. The aim of implementing Nutri Edu Fun is to increase public awareness regarding the importance of a healthy and nutritious lifestyle, consuming halal food and thayyib to prevent stunting. Activities will be carried out on August - September 2023 in Cibening Village, Bekasi, West Java. The Nutri Edu Fun program consists of a village potential survey, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), collecting data on social mapping and household food security status, anthropometric measurements at posyandu, apart from that, additional activities are also carried out by PMT cooking competitions and demonstrations, follow-up FGDs at Cibening Village Office, and making the book "BERPANGKAL" (PMT Recipe Book with Local Food Ingredients). The results of measuring the food security status of 32 respondents in Cibening Village revealed that 13 respondents experienced food insecurity. After a Focus Group Discussion was conducted with stakeholders in Cibening Village, it was discovered that 6 toddlers were stunted. One of the reasons is that the provision of PMT (Additional Feeding) at Posyandu is still not optimal. The pre-test and post-test results showed that there was no significant increase in knowledge (p>0.05) after giving Nutri Edu Fun, this could be due to the fairly short duration of the intervention. However, it is hoped that the use of the Nutri Edu Fun module will become a source of information related to health and nutrition that is easy for the community to understand. Keywords: Food security, halal food and thayyib, stunting.

Abstract

Physiological changes that occur during pregnancy affect the entire woman's body, especially the digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, skin, hormonal, metabolic, musculoskeletal, breast, immune and reproductive systems, felt in the external and internal genital areas. Common symptoms during pregnancy include changes in urinary tract function (urinating). One feasible physiological therapy is pelvic floor muscle training. This can strengthen the muscles around the reproductive organs and increase muscle tone. The aim of the research was to analyze differences in urinary tract function (mixi) in pregnant women before and after pelvic floor muscle training. This research method was carried out using a two-group pretest, posttest design. The research sample was pregnant women. A total of 60 people responded and activities were carried out for 6 days on 8-13 November 2022. Before and after PFME was carried out, urinary frequency and urine output were measured using a tool. The results showed that there was no difference in urinary frequency between the control and intervention groups (p = 0.664), and there was no difference in urine volume during urination between the control and intervention groups (p = 0.270). In the PFME intervention, there was no difference in urinary frequency between the control group and the intervention group (P = 0.566). There was a difference in urine volume when urinating between the control group and the intervention group (p=0.004). Therefore, to improve urinary tract function in pregnant women and thereby improve their quality of life, PFME should be included in the schedule to provide planned and daily physical activity and exercise. Keywords: Pregnancy, PFME, urinary tract (Miction)

Abstract

Parents' lack of knowledge in managing febrile seizures at home can increase the risk of complications such as Neurotransmitter damage and Epilepsy Damage from long-lasting attacks. The purpose of this community service is to improve the ability of cadres and parents in first aid for febrile seizures at home in toddlers. The training involved 40 posyandu cadres and parents, who measured the knowledge of febrile seizure management before the exercise was carried out. After providing training using simulations, measurements were carried out. The data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and the p-value < 0.001 were obtained so that there were differences before and after the training so that the simulation method effectively improved cadres' ability and parents' first aid for febrile seizures. This training can increase the knowledge of cadres and parents in first aid for febrile seizures at home, which can reduce complications due to febrile seizures in a toddler. Keywords: Febrile seizures, pre-hospital management, toddler

Abstract

Posyandu is part of the Community-Sourced Health Efforts (UKBM), a health information system in maternal and child health services. Currently, health recording and reporting are still in paper form. Therefore, an iPosyandu application facilitates and accelerates cadres in recording and reporting. This activity was carried out in March 2023 to 145 cadres in Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The method used was training on recording and reporting based on the iPosyandu application, where cadres were given a questionnaire on the use of the iPosyandu application. The results of this activity showed that most of the cadres had the characteristics of age 31-40 years (41.4%), the last education was high school (55.2%), the occupation was taking care of the household (97.9%), and the experience of being a cadre for 1-5 years (51%), and most of the cadres serving in the posyandu had middle strata (41%). Most cadres agreed to use the iPosyandu application because it can make reports quickly (83.7%), and cadres felt that the iPosyandu application had all the functions based on cadres' abilities (87.1%). In addition, there is a relationship between the last education of cadres and the use of iPosyandu applications (p-value < 0.005; r value > 1). This community service activity concludes that cadres have good digital literacy in using the iPosyandu application, so the system for recording and reporting the results of posyandu activities can run well. Keywords: iPosyandu, cadres, digital literacy, recording, reporting.

Abstract

In the last ten years, the government of Indonesia aggressively built multiple hospitals in the underdeveloped, borders, and islands regions and regions with health problems to tackle the lack of healthcare service in those regions. These hospitals are run by three types of healthcare workers i.e., government employees, contract employees, and honorary employees. Regardless of their type of employment, all healthcare workers are required to adhere to the standard of care and are expected to perform their best at their jobs. However, the different career path among these three types of healthcare workers often impacts their job performance. This study aims to ascertain the impact of career path strategy on healthcare performance and explain the factors influencing their performance. This study is an analytic quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted at Palmatak Regional Hospital, Kepulauan Anambas Regency. The population of this study is all healthcare workers in Palmatak Regional Hospital, amounting to 140 healthcare workers, and all population included as sample (total sampling). The data in this study was collected using a questionnaire whose validity and reliability had been tested. This study finds that work hours, training, career development, and promotion significantly affected healthcare workers' performance (p<0.05). Amongst them, career development (OR=35.51) and training (OR=55.37) are the most influential factors in healthcare workers' job performance. This study suggested that career path, especially the presence of training and career development, positively impact healthcare workers' performance.
