Abstract

This study examines the integration of Qur’anic values into modern Human Resource Management (HRM) through a holistic, reconciliatory, and mediative paradigm. Using thematic exegesis (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī) and critical-hermeneutical analysis, the research reconstructs the Qur’anic worldview to address contemporary organizational challenges marked by spiritual emptiness, value fragmentation, and ethical crises. Primary sources from the Qur’an, hadith, and classical to modern tafsir are combined with recent HRM literature and best-practice organizational reports. The findings demonstrate that maqāṣid-based recruitment, spiritual–professional training, and justice-oriented compensation significantly enhance organizational outcomes, as evidenced by reduced turnover (35% at Bank Syariah Mandiri), strengthened leadership capacity (Telkomsel), high conflict-resolution success (89% at Pertamina), and improved innovation (67% at Microsoft Indonesia). The study also highlights the relevance of Qur’anic principles in addressing global issues such as mass layoffs, gender inequality, and ecological degradation through practical implementations by Amazon, Gojek, Unilever, and Pertamina. Overall, this research offers an integrated Islamic HRM model rooted in Qur’anic ethics, demonstrating its capacity to produce a just, sustainable, and human-centered management framework aligned with contemporary organizational demands.

Abstract

Limited funding for downstream natural gas infrastructure challenges Indonesia’s energy security. Relying on the State Budget (APBN) amid rising investment needs, this study explores state sukuk (Islamic bonds) as an alternative financing tool during a sustainable energy transition. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, it analyzes secondary data from ministries, sukuk reports, literature, and interviews with seven experts (regulators), academics, and practitioners. Data analysis involved content analysis and the Analytic Network Process (ANP) to identify problems, priorities, and strategies. Results show regulatory gaps, limited financing, and immature project planning are key obstacles. State Sukuk is promising due to its asset-backed, Sharia-compliant nature and ability to attract investors, though its use is low compared to other methods. Findings highlight the need for consistent policies, robust economic assessments, and pilot projects to enhance Islamic finance's role in energy security. This study provides empirical insights into Sukuk Negara's strategic importance for Indonesia’s downstream natural gas infrastructure, integrates stakeholder perspectives with ANP, and offers a framework for policy development and future sharia-compliant energy financing.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of macroeconomic shock variables, namely inflation, the BI rate, and the exchange rate, on SME financing in Indonesia’s Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS). This research employs a quantitative approach using time-series data from April 2016 to August 2023, comprising 89 observations, and is analyzed using EViews 10. The results show that inflation has a more stable and dominant effect on SME financing cycles, whereas the BI rate and exchange rate exhibit heterogeneous and time-varying influences. Moreover, the contribution of inflation to SME financing in BPRS tends to increase over time. This study contributes to the Islamic finance literature by demonstrating a distinctive transmission mechanism of macroeconomic shocks within Sharia-based rural banking, which operates under profit-and-loss sharing and asset-backed financing principles. From a policy perspective, the findings suggest that maintaining price stability is crucial for sustaining SME financing growth in the Islamic banking sector. Therefore, Bank Indonesia (BI) should prioritize inflation control, while the Financial Services Authority (OJK) needs to strengthen prudential supervision to enhance BPRS resilience against external volatility. In addition, BPRS management is encouraged to improve risk management and portfolio strategies to mitigate macroeconomic uncertainty and ensure financing sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines how Customer Expectation and Service Recovery affect Customer Loyalty, with Customer Satisfaction as a mediator, among TikTok Shop by Tokopedia users from an Islamic business perspective. Due to increasing e-commerce competition in Indonesia, businesses must meet expectations and recover services effectively. Using a quantitative approach, questionnaires were distributed to 96 Generation Z respondents in Bandar Lampung, and data were analyzed via SEM-PLS. Results showed Customer Expectation significantly impacts Customer Satisfaction but not directly Customer Loyalty. Service Recovery positively affects both Satisfaction and Loyalty. Satisfaction mediates between Expectation and Recovery's effect on Loyalty. Findings highlight the importance of transparency, quick recovery, and fair complaint handling to boost satisfaction and loyalty. From an Islamic view, this aligns with justice, honesty, and responsibility, aiming for long-term benefits beyond profit.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the potential of the dried fish business to enhance the economic welfare of the Kuantan Tenang Village community and to review its business practices from an Islamic perspective. The dried fish enterprise is among the emerging economic sectors within this village, owing to the plentiful freshwater fish resources. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation from business stakeholders and community leaders. The findings indicate that the dried fish industry in Kuantan Tenang Village possesses considerable potential to bolster the community's economy, supported by the availability of raw materials, local labor, and established processing traditions. Although primarily traditional, this enterprise can serve as a source of income and employment. From an Islamic business standpoint, its practices adhere to the principles of halal, justice (al-'adl), trustworthiness (amanah), and provide maslahah (benefit). Consequently, in addition to economic benefits, this enterprise also holds spiritual significance and the capacity to confer blessings upon its practitioners.

Abstract

Halal tourism, characterized by the provision of services and facilities that align with Islamic principles, such as halal cuisine, prayer facilities, and environments free of non-halal activities, has become a pertinent issue in business practices. This paradigm is increasingly gaining prominence in Indonesia, which is home to the world's largest Muslim population. In response to this development, the present research aims to investigate the impact of Islamic facilities, perceptions of pricing, and digital marketing strategies on tourists' travel decisions to West Bandung Regency. The collected data are subsequently synthesized into a central discussion of the potential of the halal tourism industry in this region. The findings indicate that Islamic facilities, price perception, and digital marketing efforts collectively exert a significant influence on tourists' decision-making processes in West Bandung Regency, as evidenced by an R² of 0.713. This implies that approximately 71.3% of the variance in tourist decisions can be attributed to these three variables. The results underscore the notion that tourists' choices are shaped through a complex interplay of spirituality, economic rationality, and the effectiveness of digital communication strategies. Consequently, integrating these three elements offers a comprehensive conceptual framework conducive to the development of sustainable halal tourism, representing a synthesis of Sharia-compliant values, consumer satisfaction, and responsiveness to the evolving dynamics of global tourism.
