Abstract

Environment-based learning in play is an approach that can improve the quality of early childhood literacy by optimizing children's interaction with the surrounding environment. However, the effectiveness of this approach is highly dependent on the learning management applied in the PAUD unit. This research aims to examine the concepts, implementation strategies, impacts, and challenges in the application of environment-based learning in playing to early literacy. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing various relevant scientific articles. The results of the study show that environment-based learning and play can improve children's literacy skills, engagement, and learning motivation. In addition, this approach also contributes to developing children's critical thinking and communication skills. However, the implementation of this strategy still faces various challenges, such as the readiness of educators, limited facilities and infrastructure, and lack of parental and community involvement. Therefore, training for educators, the development of flexible curriculums, and strengthening cooperation between schools, families, and communities are needed so that this approach can be applied optimally.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the interactive media Wordwall on improving short-term memory in children aged 5–6 years at TK Negeri Pembina, Kecamatan Cipocok Jaya, Serang, Banten. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was employed. The study involved a sample of 30 children, divided into an experimental group (15 children) and a control group (15 children). The results revealed a significant improvement in short-term memory among children in the experimental group compared to the control group. The experimental group's average score increased from 42.6 (pretest) to 45.4 (posttest). Statistical analysis using SPSS Statistics 22 with a paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the use of Wordwall had a significant effect on enhancing children's short-term memory. Additionally, children in the experimental group responded positively to the use of Wordwall, as evidenced by their active participation and ease in recalling information. These findings suggest that Wordwall is effective as an interactive learning medium to support the development of short-term memory in early childhood.

Abstract

One part of mathematics that is widely felt to be beneficial in everyone's daily life is numeracy, especially the concept of numbers. Numbers are also in currency that needs to be understood early on by all parties. This qualitative study aims to describe how children who study in kindergarten get an introduction to Indonesian currency and explore more deeply about the process of stimulating numeracy skills, especially those running in PAUD BKB Kemas Nuri, Ciruas District, Serang Regency. the introduction of currency value in stimulating children's counting skills that is carried out is still complementary. This can be seen from the introduction activities, namely saving, playing the role of buying and selling or giving alms. In this position, the formation of certain characters is prioritized over children's counting skills. So an introduction with a clear focus can be planned for children.

Abstract

Low parental nutrition literacy is one of the contributing factors to the suboptimal development of healthy eating habits among young children in Indonesia. This study aims to identify and systematically analyze the forms of parenting program interventions that enhance food literacy among parents and support the development of healthy eating behaviors in early childhood. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted on scientific articles published between 2014 and 2024. A total of 8 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed narratively. The findings reveal that effective parenting programs integrate educational, participatory, and contextual approaches, including practical skill training, hands-on activities, and community-based education. Key indicators of success include improved parental nutrition literacy, responsive feeding practices, and increased consumption of healthy food among children. The review also highlights several research gaps, such as the limited number of longitudinal studies and the lack of integration between food literacy and health promotion. These findings imply the need to develop more structured and sustainable parenting programs rooted in local cultural contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the design of an integrated information system that supports the quality assurance of early childhood education (PAUD) collaboratively. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the study screened and examined 12 scientific articles from the Scopus database published between 2015 and 2025. The study process follows the PRISMA 2020 guidelines with the stages of identification, screening, feasibility assessment, and inclusion. The results of the thematic analysis show five main themes in the integration of the quality and information system of early childhood education, namely: institutional technical efficiency, information security and risk management, documentation social practices, institutional collaboration, and ethical and environmental dimensions. This study found that most PAUD information systems are still administrative and do not fully support participation, pedagogical reflection, and collaborative governance. This research contributes to the development of an integrative, participatory, and contextual information system-based quality management model of early childhood education. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for policy and practice development at the institutional and government levels, as well as open up space for further research based on local implementation.

Abstract

Independence is an important part of early childhood development that needs to be stimulated early on. Independent children are able to make simple decisions, are responsible for themselves, and are able to manage their emotions without excessive dependence on adults. In the process of forming this independence, teachers have a strategic role, not only as educators but also as mentors and role models. This study aims to describe how teachers intervene in forming early childhood independence from a psychopedagogical perspective. This study uses a library research method, namely by reviewing various theories and relevant previous research findings. The results of the study show that teachers can form children's independence through a psychopedagogical approach such as giving simple responsibilities, positive habits, verbal reinforcement, and implementing scaffolding. Teachers also need to create an emotionally safe learning atmosphere and support children's exploration. As a figure who is close to the child, teachers must be able to present a learning process that does not suppress, but rather fosters. Thus, early childhood independence can grow through appropriate and sustainable interventions, especially if also supported by a consistent home environment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of work stress on psychological well-being, and whether religiosity can be a moderating variable in the influence of the two variables. This research uses a quantitative approach with a moderation regression analysis technique. The population used in this study were kindergarten teachers. The sample taken using the cluster random sampling technique was 291. This research uses several classical assumption tests such as normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and hypothesis tests using moderation regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis test are that work stress has a significant negative effect on psychological well-being. So the higher the work stress a kindergarten teacher has, the lower their psychological well-being. This research also explains that religiosity can significantly be a moderator variable by weakening the influence of work stress on psychological well-being. So the more religiosity increases, the more work stress decreases, and psychological well-being will increase.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and develop assessment methods in Arabic language learning, especially in the aspect of mufrodat, at TKIT Muadz Bin Jabbal. The results showed that the assessment has not covered all aspects of learning thoroughly. Therefore, an authentic assessment approach is needed that assesses the process to learning outcomes. This authentic assessment is designed through fun, contextual, and interactive activities, such as matching words with pictures, following verbal instructions, or creating simple works. The approach helps children understand mufrodat more effectively by linking learning to everyday experiences. This innovation is expected to create a more meaningful and enjoyable learning process for early childhood.
