Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of halal certification for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Simpang Empat City, West Pasaman, focusing on the impacts, challenges, and government support in the certification process. Halal certification has excellent potential to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the domestic and international markets, considering that most of the residents of are Muslims. The results of the study show that halal certification has a positive impact on increasing sales, consumer confidence, and market expansion. However, MSMEs face several significant obstacles, such as high certification costs, complexity of procedures, and lack of understanding of the importance of halal certification. Through training, socialization, and subsidies for certification fees, government support has made a positive contribution but still needs improvement. This research provides policy recommendations to overcome these obstacles, including increasing subsidies, digitizing the certificatio process, and public awareness campaigns about the importance of halal products. Overall, this study reveals halal certification’s great potential in encouraging halalbased MSMEs’ growth in Simpang Empat City, West Pasaman. Still, a better-supporting mechanism is required so that more MSMEs can exploit halal market opportunities.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth, including in Jambi City, particularly in the Car Free Day program. However, limited business capital, product variety, and the utilization of digital payment systems such as QRIS are factors that influence MSME income levels. This study aims to analyze the effect of business capital, number of product types, and the use of QRIS on MSME income in the Car Free Day program in Jambi City. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis and QSPM analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to MSME actors as respondents. The results show that business capital and the number of product types have a positive and significant effect on MSME income, while the use of QRIS does not have a significant effect. The most appropriate strategy to be implemented by MSMEs at car free day locations is to add variety and innovate products. This strategy was chosen because it has the highest STAS score compared to other strategies, making it the most effective in attracting consumer interest and increasing sales.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of financial technology, particularly the use of digital wallets (e-wallets), which offer easy transactions and various promotions, thus influencing students' financial behavior. This study aims to analyze the financial behavior of students at the Faculty of Economics, Merdeka University, Pasuruan, in using e-wallets. The approach used was a qualitative case study method with five active e-wallet users selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively based on indicators of budgeting and expenditure, timely bill payments, providing emergency funds, and saving. Data validity was tested through source triangulation. The results show that e-wallets provide easy transactions, but have the potential to increase spending frequency. This finding is explained through Mental Accounting Theory and Regret Theory, which describe the perception of e-wallet balances as flexible consumption funds and students' efforts to prepare reserve funds to avoid regret due to unexpected expenses. Therefore, e-wallet use needs to be balanced with students' financial awareness.

Abstract

Audit delay plays a crucial role for investors as it affects the timeliness, reliability, and relevance of financial statement information in investment decision-making. The longer the audit delay, the higher the level of uncertainty faced by investors, and the greater the potential to erode trust in the company. This study aims to analyze the influence of audit tenure, audit opinion, firm size, and Auditor Rotation on audit delay in food and beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2023 period. The study employs a quantitative method using purposive sampling. From a total population of 95 companies, 63 companies meeting the research sample criteria were selected. Data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, the F-test, and the t-test. The results indicate that audit tenure significantly influences audit delay with a significance value of 0.006, audit opinion significantly influences audit delay with a significance value of 0.003, and firm size also significantly influences audit delay with a significance value of 0.003. Meanwhile, Auditor Rotation does not have a significant effect on audit delay with a significance value of 0.837. These findings indicate that the efficiency of the auditor-client relationship, the type of audit opinion, and firm size are important factors in determining the timeliness of audit completion.

This study employed a quantitative approach involving 303 respondents. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results indicate that Financial Technology and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion. In addition, locus of control was proven to moderate the relationship between Financial Technology and financial literacy on financial inclusion.
