Abstract

This study aims to idenfify the effectiveness of cooperative leaming of Jigsaw and STAD models at elementary school students. Specifically this study aims to (i) identify the learning activities of students in Jigsaw and STAD model, and (ii) identify the effect of cooperative learning on student outcomes, and (iii) identify the effects of cooperative leaming on social skills on elementary school students. Subjects are fourth grade elementary school student of SD Sambungan 01 and 02 in Sub District of Undaan in Kudus Regency, was randomly selected through cluster sampling technique includes two experimental groups. lt consists of 20 students for STAD model and 21 students for Jigsaw model. Collecting the data in the form of student leaming outcomes conducted during the 2009.1 academic year through tests and non test. Data was analyzed using ANOVA and testing requirements through the normality test and homogeneity of variance. Data processing activities and skills gained through observation and then be processed through descriptive analysis. Research results revealed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw and STAD model was capable to improve student learning activities. While the use of both models show that students only skillful in capturing the concept. The value of the influence of process skills with Jigsaw model is 59.6%, and with the STAD model is 55.5%). Average yield study showed significant differences that Jigsaw model is better than STAD model. This means that the Jigsaw model is more able to improve student leaming activity compared with STAD model. It is concluded that the Jigzaw model is better than STAD model. Teachers are advised to apply Jigsaw method of cooperafive learning model as an altemative to teaching in the classroom.

Abstract

Many challenges must be faced by thr GOI in developing the program, nowadays the Govemment of lndonesia (G01) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department has been enhancing early childhood education programs for 0 to 8 year old children. The major challenges are children access to early childhood education services and quality of early childhood education programs. Considering the challenges, The United States Agency for Intemational Development (USAID) in partnership with Indonesia's Ministry of National Education is currently implementing a small scale interactive audio instruction (1AI) pilot program targeting 5-6 year olds and their teachers in seven provinces. The program can simultaneously lead acfivities to kindergarten children and teachers as well as train the teachers, who don't have early childhood education background, and how to create high qualityactivities for children. Because of its' simple technology, the program can be applied in various Indonesia district condition, This paper explores the potential role a simple technology can play in assisting the government meet its early childhood education goals and discusses whether something as commonplace as a CD player or radio, when coupled with a proven education methodology, could present a cost effective way to achieving quality at scale.

Abstract

In learning, we need a method to enhance the creativity of the students, one of them with Mind Mapping method. This study aims to explain the application of mind mapping methods to increase creativity in learning Citizenship Education in Class VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). This research was conducted using field observation of 25 students. The Research Data collection is based on the results of students learning activities to create a mind map. The results showed that the Mind Mapping method can enhance students' creativity in studying Pancasila and Citizenship Education. Dalam Pembelajaran, diperlukan sebuah metode untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, salah satunya dengan metode Mind mapping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode mind mapping untuk meningkatkan kreativitas pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Kelas VI MI. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi ke lapangan yang dilakukan di kelas VI MI Miftahul Falah dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui hasil kegiatan belajar dengan membuat sebuah mind mapping. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Independent Learning Skills Training on student motivation in distance learning systems at UPBJJ-UT Ternate. The research sample was new Bidikmisi scholarship students in UPBJJ-UT 2019.2 registration period, namely 20 students. The results of the regression analysis produce the equation Y = a + bX = 5.274 + 1.337X. This means that each increase in the quality of Independent Skills Training by 1 unit will increase Student Learning Motivation by 1,337. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.712 explains that the contribution of the influence of the PKBM variable (X) to the Learning Motivation variable (Y) is 71.20%. While the remaining 28.80% is influenced by other variables not examined. Based on these results, the researcher proposes that UT should continue to be able to improve PKBM standards to be better so that it helps new UT students in their learning process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pelatihan Keterampilan Belajar Mandiri (PKBM) terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa pada sistem belajar jarak jauh di UPBJJ-UT Ternate. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru UPBJJ-UT Ternate yang menerima beasiswa Bidikmisi di masa registrasi 2019.2 sebanyak 20 mahasiswa. Dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian. Dari hasil analisis regresi menghasilkan persamaan Y = a + bX = 5.274 + 1.337X. Artinya bahwa setiap peningkatan kualitas Pelatihan Keterampilan Mandiri sebesar 1 satuan, maka akan meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa sebesar 1,337 satuan. Hasil koefisien determinasi R2 (R Square) sebesar 0,712 menjelaskan bahwa presentase sumbangan pengaruh variabel PKBM (X) terhadap variabel Motivasi Belajar (Y) sebesar 71,20%. Sedangkan sisanya 28,80% dipengaruhi atau dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam model penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, maka peneliti mengusulkan agar UT harus terus dapat meningkatkan standar PKBM sehingga semakin baik dan dapat membantu mahasiswa baru UT dalam menjalani proses belajarnya.

Abstract

Academic achievement is an indicator of the success of students at the higher education level. Because of the importance of academic achievement, it is important to conduct research on the factors that affect student academic achievement. The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence student academic achievement. There are three independent variables, namely: seat position, learning facilities and achievement motivation. A total of 181 respondents were included in this study. The sample is chosen randomly by distributing questionnaires online using Google form. Data analysis was performed using binary logistic regression. The logistic regression model is to describe the relationship between some independent variables that are continuous, categorical, or binary. The results showed that: (1) seating position significantly influenced academic achievement. (2) Learning facilities have no significant effect on academic achievement. (3) Achievement motivation influences academic achievement. (4) There is a joint effect of independent variables on academic achievement. Prestasi akademik merupakan indikator keberhasilan mahasiswa di level pendidikan tinggi. Karena pentingnya prestasi akademik, maka penting untuk melakukan riset tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Terdapat tiga variabel bebas yaitu: posisi tempat duduk, sarana pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi. Sebanyak 181 responden dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel di pilih secara acak dengan menyebarkan angket secara online menggunakan google form. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Model regresi logistik bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hubungan antara satu atau lebih variabel independen yang bersifat terus menerus, kategoris, atau biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) posisi tempat duduk berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik. (2) Sarana pembelajaran tidak berpengaruh sgnifikan terhadap prestasi akademik. (3) Motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik. (4) Terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama variabel bebas terhadap prestasi akademik.

Abstract

As professional teachers in 21th century, teachers at all levels of education should be prepared for 4.0 era teaching and learning by utilizing the advancement of information technology. There is a needs to develop technology based learning media to create creative, inovative, and exciting learning to improve students’s motivation especially in science. This research aims to explain the effectiveness of three dimention (3D) -based virtual reality learning media to improve the fifth grade students’ learning motivation. This research employs ADDIE which inludes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The research subjects were students from seven elementary schools for try-out, 3 control groups, and 3 experiment groups. The data collecting techniques used observation, quistionannaire, interview, and performance test. The result shows that virtual reality-based 3D learning media is effective to improve student motivation and achievement of the fifth grade students, indicated by a significant difference in motivation and achievement score of the students before and after using 3D-based virtual reality media. Sebagai tenaga pengajar profesional guru harus siap menghadapi era 4.0. yang diindikasikan dengan penggunaan ICT yang intensif dan ekspansif. Guru perlu mampu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang kreatif, inovatif, konkrit dan menyenangkan, sehingga dapat membangkitkan minat siswa khususnya pada materi IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan keefektifan media pembelajaran 3 dimensi (3D) berbasis virtual reality dalam peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) model ADDIE yang terdiri dari analisis (Analysis), desain (Design), pengembangan (Development), implementasi (Implementation), dan evaluasi (Evaluation). Penelitian dilaksanakan terhadap siswa yang tersebar di 7 sekolah dasar, yaitu 1 sekolah uji coba, 3 sekolah kontrol, dan 3 sekolah eksperimen di Kecamatan Tasikmadu, Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, angket, wawancara dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran 3 dimensi (3D) berbasis virtual reality efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa, ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan yang signifikan minat dan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pembelajaran, dari rata-rata yang semula 52,95 diperoleh capaian rata-rata baru sebesar 82,05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to establish the empirical validity of the curriculum model for children with special needs (ABK). The data collection is carried out using interviews, documentation, and observation, involving teachers, students, and school principals. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results show that in general teachers and principals considered the curriculum model developed to be relevant and applicable, containing basic competencies that were appropriate to the ability levels of students with special needs; for mild ABK who had minimal learning constraints, the number of basic competencies is less 21,1% than in the regular curriculum; whereas for ABK with a moderate level of difficulty, the number of basic competencies in the new curriculum is 37,3% less than the regular curriculum, and this group of students needs maximum support from others. The guidebook for the new curriculum in general is also considered easy to understand, well-written, and the appearance is sufficient. Thus it can be used as an alternative curriculum for use by a wider audience. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menetapkan validitas empiris model kurikulum untuk anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus (ABK). Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi serta observasi, melibatkan guru, murid dan kepala sekolah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya guru dan kepala sekolah menilai model kurikulum yang dikembangkan sudah relevan dan dapat diterapakan, karena memuat kompetensi dasar yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa-siswa berkebutuhan khusus, bagi ABK ringan yang mempunyai kendala minimal dalam belajar, kompetensi dasar menyusut 21,1%. Sedangkan ABK dengan tingkat kesulitan sedang, kompetensi dasar dalam kurikuum menyusut 37,3%, dan kelompok siswa ini membutuhka ndukungan orang lain yang lebih maksimal. Adapun buku pedoman yang dikembangkan secara umum dinilai mudah dipahami, dan dari segi fomat penulisan dan wujud sudah memadai. Dengan demikian dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif kurikulum untuk digunakan oleh kalangan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Background. Online lectures are one of the most effective lecture methods during the covid-19 pandemic. Online lectures can be done using internet technology and using an Android smartphone or computer. Aim. The research objective is to determine the effect of online lecture methods on the level of student understanding of investment law courses at the University of Technology Indonesia. Method. This research uses quasy-experiment method with one group pre-pos tes only design. The number of respondents was 36 who were students who took investment law courses. Retrieval of data using online quizzes as pre-pos tes scores. The statistical test used is paired t- test. Results. Statistical test results obtained p-value of 0.001. Conclusion. There is an influence of online lecture methods on the level of student understanding of investment law courses at the University of Technology Indonesia. Pendahuluan. Perkuliahan online saat ini merupakan salah satu metode perkuliahan yang efektif selama masa pandemic covid-19. Perkuliahan online dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknologi internet dan menggunakan smartphone android ataupun komputer. Tujuan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode kuliah online terhadap tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa tentang materi kuliah hukum investasi di Universitas Teknologi Indonesia. Metode. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasy-eksperiment dengan desain one group pre-pos tes only. Jumlah responden sebanyak 36 yang merupakan mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah hukum investasi. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuis online sebagai nilai pre-pos tes. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji paired t-test. Hasil. Hasil uji statistic didapatkan nilai p-value 0.001. Kesimpulan. Ada pengaruh metode kuliah online terhadap tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa tentang mata kuliah hukum investasi di Universitas Teknologi Indonesia.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to find out whether input enhancement technique is effective in improving students’ direct and indirect speech mastery in news item text. This research is quantitative experimental research with pretest and posttest control group design. The data of this research is the students’ direct and indirect speech mastery in new item text. The data collection technique is by administering tests, using pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique uses t-test formula. The result indicates that there was no difference between control and experimental group in initial abiity before the input-enchancemen-technique was treated. Whereas by using input enhancement technique there was significant difference between students taught direct and indirect speech mastery using input enhancement technique and those taught direct and indirect speech mastery in news item text without using input enhancement technique. Thus, it could be concluded that the use of input enhancement technique was effective in improving students’ direct and indirect speech mastery in news item text. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan teknik peningkatan input efektif dapat meningkatkan penguasaan tuturan siswa secara langsung dan tidak langsung pada teks item berita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental kuantitatif dengan desain control group pretest and posttest. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah penguasaan tuturan langsung dan tidak langsung siswa pada teks item berita. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pemberian tes, pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen dalam hal kemampuan awal sebelum dilakukan perlakuan teknik input-enhancemen. Sedangkan dengan menggunakan teknik peningkatan input terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa dalam hal penguasaan tuturan langsung dan tidak langsung menggunakan teknik peningkatan input dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam hal penguasaan tuturan langsung dan tidak langsung dalam teks item berita tanpa menggunakan teknik peningkatan input. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik peningkatan input efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan tuturan siswa secara langsung dan tidak langsung pada teks item berita.

Abstract

The study aims to measure and describe the profile of students’ digital literacy who take distance learning in chemistry subjects. During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning carried out online using digital-based technology. This research measures digital literacy using descriptive research methods with quantitative approaches. Data collection carried out by giving digital literacy questionnaires to 74 eleven-grade students who are conducting online learning. The students assess themselves through a questionnaire about digital literacy, the results of the study indicate that the digital literacy of eleven-grade students on online learning are as follows: 1) The aspect of the ability to use digital media obtained an average score of 79.95; 2) The aspects of managing digital learning platforms obtained an average score of 76.29; 3) The aspect of the use of advanced digital media obtained an average score of 68.48; and 4) Ethical and safety aspects in the use of digital media obtained an average score of 79.77. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menggambarkan profil literasi digital siswa kelas XI ketika mengikuti pembelajaran jarak jauh pada mata pelajaran kimia. Selama masa pandemi Covid-19, pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring dengan memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis digital. Penelitian ini melakukan pengukuran literasi digital menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara memberikan kuisioner pengukuran literasi digital kepada 74 siswa kelas XI yang melaksanakan pembelajaran kimia secara daring. Siswa menilai dirinya sendiri melalui kuisioner literasi digital, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital siswa kelas XI pada pembelajaran secara daring sebagai berikut: 1) Pada aspek kemampuan menggunakan media digital diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 79.95; 2) Pada aspek pengelolaan platform pembelajaran digital diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 76,29; 3) Pada aspek penggunaan media digital tingkat lanjut diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 68,48; dan 4) Pada aspek etika dan keamanaan dalam penggunaan media digital diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 79,77.
