Abstract

This research reviews the existence of the Inculturative Church of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi as a means of realizing community fellowship. This study aims to find out the form, function and meaning of the building of the Inculturative Church of St. Francis of Assisi Berastagi and to find out the Inculturative Church as a means of realizing community fellowship. This type of research is qualitative research. The research instruments are observation, interviews and documentation. The result is that the Karo Inculturative Church Building is a means of realizing community fellowship which can be seen from the participation and involvement of the people in all activities related to fellowship. With a church building that uses an inculturative style, people feel closer to God.

Abstract

This study shows how the shifting capital of education aligns with the economic spirit in the digitalization era. The ideology of education, which supports the transformation of human resources to a better and fair world, has been shifted to the economic path due to economic and cultural triggers. The economic element shapes educational institutions' alignment in the labor market. The latter is to make the shifting capital of education move faster towards the economic demand due to the entrance of modernization culture in the form of digitalization technology. Furthermore, the development of religious education also gets the impact of digitalization era, but it still humanizes the humanity aspect as the novelty of this research. The sociological method is to be conducted to analyze and evaluate beyond the shifting capital of education. Critical thinking in the sociological method through Weberian rationality and bureaucracy is used to probe some possible answers to see the shifting capital of education. The result of this research is that the shifting capital of education toward economic and educational capitalism still upholds the humanizing humanity to work in the workforce field. The conclusion reaches that the shifting capital of education emphasizes the access of human resources to engage in the market during the digitalization era through the rationality of educational institutions.

Abstract

This article covers aspects of prayer in the development of spiritual intelligence. The study aims to investigate the impact of the practice of puja bakti on the spiritual intelligence of Buddhist students at Bhakti Karya Kaloran High School. The study involved research subjects such as Buddhist religious students at Bakti Karya Kaloran High School in 2023 who were selected as samples of research. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The correlation value between the variable puja bakti to spiritual intelligence is 0.712. This value can be predicted that the relationship of the two variables tested is in the strong category. The results of the study showed a significant correlational relationship between the performance of bakti puja and the spiritual intelligence of students with evidence of a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05 and a t-count value of 6.251 > t-table 2,021, also contributing 49.6%. The recommendation from this study is to implement morning prayer routine and targeted in the school environment to enhance the spiritual intelligence of students.

Abstract

Regeneration and cadrerization are important programs that need to be done to progress an organization in the future. The existence of regeneration and cadrerization programs, both formally and informally, will help prospective leaders to be prepared both knowledgeably and mentally to become strong leaders and be responsible for their leadership calling. The research design used was case study qualitative research. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires by the principal, vice principal, and senior teachers who have worked for more than three years and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results showed that the regeneration process has not been running optimally. Formal regeneration is not optimal because there is no Christian leadership training, so teachers as prospective leaders lack an understanding of Christian leadership. Informal regeneration has not been optimal because the principal has not provided intense guidance for teachers after the evaluation to help teachers develop and be prepared to become leaders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Christian leadership from the light of Apostle Palus in the texts of Timothy and Titus. The analysis is related to the subject matter of leadership and its challenges today and in the future, as well as encouragement to leaders of institutions and church organizations in order to pay special attention to the quality of self that supports the success of the ministry according to the demands of the times. The method used is literature study. The results showed that theologically a church leader has adequate self quality, being a true Christian leader based on God's decree, Divine Mandate, calling as a leader, having a clear vision, as well as having exemplary life and willing to work hard. These basic principles of leadership will encourage the progress and development of church institutions and organizations today. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan kristen dari terang Rasul Palus dalam teks Timotius dan Titus. Analisis terkait pokok bahasan kepemimpinan dan tantangannya masa kini dan masa akan datang, serta dorongan kepada para pemimpin lembaga dan organisasi gereja agar dapat memberikan perhatian khusus kepada kualitas diri yang menunjang keberhasilan pelayanan sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman. Metode yang digunakan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara teologis seorang pemimpin gereja mempunyai kualitas diri yang memadai, menjadi pemimpin Kristen yang sejati berdasarkan ketetapan Allah, Amanat Ilahi, panggilan sebagai pemimpin, memiliki visi yang jelas, serta memiliki keteladanan hidup dan mau bekerja keras. Prinsip dasar kepemimpinan ini akan mendorong kemajuan dan pengembangan lembaga dan organisasi gereja pada masa kini.

Abstract

One of the Jesus Christ’s instruction that must do by His church is doctrine. In the Christian’s concept, doctrine is a matured process for people who already faith on God in the faithful community. The doctrine implementation model between a church with another church can equal or differently suspended on a wrestling that was faced. The aim of this research is to know the doctrine implementation model by church. The type of research, namely by observing activities and interacting with the congregation to obtain information according to the actual situation. The result of the research shows that the church little by little develop the doctrine model for the congregation. Some of the doctrine implementation model that is the church teach the congregation by means of coordinating institution, celebration, symbols, rhythm/songs and the personage’s life. This model is not differently with the doctrine model which do by the bible and the church’s personage in the past. Salah satu amanat Tuhan Yesus Kristus yang harus dilaksanakan oleh gereja adalah pengajaran. Dalam konsep Kristen, pengajaran adalah proses pendewasaan orang yang telah percaya kepada Yesus dalam komunitas orang percaya. Model pelaksanaan pengajaran antara satu gereja dengan gereja lainnya bisa sama atau berbeda tergantung pergumulan yang sedang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model-model implementasi pengajaran oleh Gereja. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yakni dengan mengamati aktivitas dan berinteraksi dengan jemaat untuk mendapatkan informasi sesuai dengan keadaan yang sesungguhnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gereja secara berangsur-angsur mengembangkan model pengajaran bagi umat, seperti gereja mengajar umat melalui wadah, perayaan, simbol-simbol, Irama/nyanyian, dan kehidupan para tokoh. Hal ini tidak berbeda jauh dengan model pengajaran yang telah dilaksanakan oleh tokoh-tokoh Alkitab dan gereja pada masa lalu.

Abstract

Education influences a person's growth and development. One of the determining factors is the environment. The environment is a very important factor after nature, without the support of environmental factors in the development process to realize the potential that exists in children does not occur properly. One of them is the family environment. This research aims to analyze the role of the family in instilling honesty values in children. Literature study method is used in this research. The results state that to achieve Christian values, it is necessary to have education in the family that shapes children's characteristics to be honest. Parental example is one of the important aspects to instill honesty in children, which includes: exemplary attitudes, actions, and words of parents based on consistent and transparent truth. Pendidikan berpengaruh dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan seseorang. Salah satu faktor yang menentukan ialah lingkungan. Lingkungan merupakan faktor yang sangat penting setelah alam, tanpa adanya dukungan dari faktor lingkungan dalam proses perkembangan untuk mewujudkan potensi yang ada pada diri anak tidak terjadi dengan baik. Salah satunya ialah lingkungan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa peran keluarga dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kejujuran pada anak. Metode studi pustaka digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa untuk mencapai nilai-nilai Kristiani, maka perlu adanya pendidikan dalam keluarga yang membentuk karakteristik anak menjadi jujur. Keteladanan orang tua menjadi salah satu aspek penting untuk menanamkan kejujuran pada anak, yang meliputi: keteladanan sikap, tindakan, dan perkataan orang tua yang dilandasi oleh kebenaran yang konsisten dan transparan.

Abstract

Classroom management can become a strategy for teachers to manage every aspect of learning, including improving student discipline. Through the application of three classroom management, namely designing, implementing, and evaluate, it is expected to be able to develop the character of students' discipline according to the indicators, namely having responsibility, obedience, and readiness in learning. In the teacher's effort to improve discipline through classroom management, the Bible becomes the basis for teacher action, so that through the help of the Holy Spirit, students are able to know God, and carry out self-transformation, including discipline. This writing aims to examine the application of classroom management as a form of teacher effort in improving the discipline of second grade elementary school students. With the descriptive research method, it is concluded that classroom management can improve student discipline, but measuring study results and learning objectives might need to be conducted for the next research.

Abstract

Dayak Ngaju is one of the most prominent tribes in Central Borneo. From the beginning, the People of Dayak Ngaju lived with many different belief systems so even though they didn’t understand what moderation meant, they always live in that diversity all along their life. This research was to the women of Dayak Ngaju to observe their perspectives on religious moderation compared to the critical history of Ruth's author as a Bible text with women as a central figure. This research uses the qualitative method with an ethnography approach and a critical history of Biblica interpretation to express their paradigm about moderation itself. The result of this research points out how the women of Dayak Ngaju have a major tendency to be agents of moderation in Dayak Ngaju people because of the active connection of them in family and society like Ruth as center figure of the author of Ruth in the Old Testament.

Abstract

Moderation and literacy are effective approaches integrated in Christian religious education to counteract conflict in the digital space. Christian religious education has an important role in shaping the character and morals of Christians in a social environment that emphasizes the values of love, tolerance and mutual respect. However, in this connected digital era, new challenges arise in the form of hate speech that can threaten peace and unity. Hate speech on social media also damages the spiritual development of individuals. This research uses a literature data collection method with a descriptive qualitative approach. It found that the principles of moderation teach the importance of avoiding extremism and communicating wisely and are supported by the principles of digital literacy that help learners to critically understand, analyze, and appreciate the information they encounter. Solutive recommendations in the form of moderation and literacy principles in addressing the apparent problems in this topic will be elaborated by quoting Bible verses that emphasize emotion management, time management, and awareness of the impact of extremism.
