Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of strengthening Christian ethics regarding justice and responsibility as a moral compass in supporting the quality of restorative justice of land conflicts by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police. Using a qualitative approach of case studies. The results of the study found that Christian ethics had a significant positive influence on the success of recovery. The value of relational justice (theological tzedakah) motivates the victim to demand the restoration of dignity, while the concept of stewardship encourages the perpetrator (the corporation) to voluntarily admit wrongdoing and make a substantive commitment. Christian ethics serves as a moral catalyst that overcomes emotional resistance and power imbalance during mediation, triggers a narrative of forgiveness, and results in a more sustainable commitment to peace. Although restorative justice by the Central Kalimantan Police is procedurally effective, the model is still secular-procedural.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of gender roles in the Barzanji ritual in Rano Jaya Village and Sabilambo Subdistrict and to identify the socio cultural factors influencing their differences. The research employs a qualitative approach with a comparative study design, using in depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Barzanji practice in Rano Jaya Village represents a conservative complementary model characterized by male dominance in the public ritual sphere, whereas in Sabilambo Subdistrict an inclusive participatory model has developed since 2021, marked by the direct involvement of women in ritual recitation. These differences are influenced by local traditions, leadership dynamics, social openness, and the reinterpretation of religious values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the practice of mangain anak as an inculturative space between Batak culture and Christian faith and to analyze its influence on the formation of adolescents’ religious identity in the HKBP Church. The research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods through interviews, observations, and literature review. The research participants include adolescents in the HKBP Church who have been adopted through mangain, pastors, and Christian Religious Education teachers. The findings indicate that mangain anak has strong theological resonance with the biblical concept of divine adoption, particularly regarding themes of acceptance, new identity, and belonging to the family of God. Nevertheless, the limited implementation of inculturative approaches in Christian Religious Education has prevented the pedagogical potential of mangain from being fully utilized in adolescent faith formation. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of developing an inculturative, contextual, and pastoral approach to Christian Religious Education that enables adolescents to integrate their cultural identity and Christian faith holistically within the life of the HKBP Church.

Abstract

Teacher reflection plays an important role in improving the quality of social-emotional learning for early childhood, including children with special needs. Through continuous reflection, teachers can evaluate and improve learning practices by paying attention to the emotional, social, and developmental aspects of children holistically. At Palu Christian Kindergarten, integrated and experience-based social-emotional learning, such as STOP exercises, collaborative activities, and simple reflection, has been proven to support children's self-awareness, emotion management, empathy, and responsibility. The success of this learning is influenced by a safe, inclusive, accepting environment, as well as support from families and schools. Although it has been running well, learning can still be developed through the use of technology and innovative activities. Thus, consistent teacher reflection and a conducive environment are key to optimizing the social-emotional development of early childhood and children with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discipleship on the spiritual maturity of God's servants and the regeneration of church leaders. The study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The results showed that discipleship had a positive and significant effect on the spiritual maturity of ministers. Ministers who were actively and consistently involved in discipleship showed more mature faith, stronger Christian character, high commitment to ministry, and more stable spiritual discipline. In addition, discipleship was also proven to have an effect on the regeneration of church leaders. God's servants who were trained through structured discipleship were better prepared to take on leadership roles, both in terms of ministry responsibilities, exemplary lives, and the ability to mentor others. These findings confirm that discipleship is not merely a routine spiritual training activity, but a strategic means of forming ministers who are spiritually mature and ready to become church leaders.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of social entrepreneurship and community collaboration on the economic productivity of Buddhist women, specifically within the Indonesian Buddhist Women (WBI) community in Jambi City. A quantitative associative method was applied, collecting data from 41 respondents using Likert-scale questionnaires, which were analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results reveal that social entrepreneurship significantly enhances economic productivity (β = 0.698, *p* < 0.001). In contrast, community collaboration does not show a significant partial effect (β = 0.136, *p* = 0.265). However, both variables simultaneously account for 79.2% of the variance in economic productivity (F = 72.341, *p* < 0.001). These findings highlight the strategic role of social entrepreneurship rooted in Buddhist ethics such as sammā ājīva (right livelihood) in economic empowerment. The study recommends strengthening participatory collaboration frameworks and integrating Buddhist values into entrepreneurial training programs.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce in the digital era has created broad business opportunities while also generating ethical challenges that intersect with legal aspects, such as fraud, information manipulation, fake reviews, monopolistic practices, and consumer exploitation. This study employs a qualitative method through normative–conceptual literature review. The findings indicate that the principles of honesty, love, justice, and stewardship can serve as guidelines for sellers in making fair business decisions, building consumer trust, serving customers empathetically, and supporting small business actors. These principles have the potential to strengthen sellers’ integrity and reputation while fostering a sustainable, inclusive digital ecosystem aligned with spiritual values. Therefore, e-commerce sellers who uphold Christian ethical principles can play a role as agents of social and moral transformation in the digital era.

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (CRE) plays a strategic role in shaping students' character and morals, particularly in instilling values of integrity and anti-corruption. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a specially designed CRE module to internalize these values among high school (SMA) students. The research method employed is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest on class XI students of SMK Percis Halmahera. The results indicate that the specifically designed CRE module is effective in improving students' understanding and awareness of the importance of integrity and anti-corruption. Additionally, the module successfully fosters positive attitudes among students towards honest and responsible living practices. These findings suggest that CRE can be an effective means of shaping students' characters with integrity and anti-corruption values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the contribution of Yali culture to teaching patterns for Yalimu students at STFT GKI I.S. Kijne Jayapura. This study used a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The results showed that Yali cultural values, such as oral traditions, collectivity, practice-based learning, communal relations, and the use of nature as a learning space, have a significant influence on how students understand and construct academic knowledge. Teaching patterns that emphasize theory, written traditions, and a uniform approach tend to create learning barriers for Yalimu students. In contrast, the application of participatory, thematic, small-group-based, and contextual learning methods has been shown to improve student understanding of the material, self-confidence, and active involvement in the teaching and learning process. This study recommends the need to develop teaching patterns that are responsive to students' cultural backgrounds, as well as the development of patterns and theories that start from within, based on one's own experience and culture.

Abstract

The organization of Hajj is a form of religious public service that involves the management of human resources within Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the role of non-Muslim civil servants (ASN) in the organization of the Hajj and the implementation of human resource management based on religious moderation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method through in-depth interviews, observation, and analysis of official Hajj committee documents. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that three non-Muslim civil servants were involved in the Hajj organization and were assigned to administrative and technical divisions, namely public relations, secretariat, and accommodation. Their placement was based on competence and organizational needs, while ritual-related tasks remained the responsibility of Muslim officers. These findings indicate that the application of the merit system and proportional task distribution reflects the integration of religious moderation in human resource management and supports the effectiveness of Hajj administration.
