Abstract

Sambas has inherited a lot of cultural wealth, one of the richest in West Kalimantan. One of these assets is the Saprahan tradition. This article is intended to reveal the existence and cultivation of Islamic values and the role of community leaders in preserving this tradition. This study uses the method of library research (library research). The Saprahan tradition was discovered when the Sambas Kingdom became an Islamic power. The saprahan tradition symbolizes the value of religious teachings as a pillar of Islamic teachings. The Islamic values contained in it include mutual cooperation, mutual help, togetherness and equality among human beings. The role of community leaders is very important in guiding, motivating and nurturing the community in preserving this tradition.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the implication of active-integrative learning strategies in Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects. This phenomenological qualitative research relies on observational data, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that there are some problems in implementing active-integrative learning strategies in PAI subjects. This problem stems from the teacher's lack of steady perspective on the reality and ideality of the material and learning objectives of PAI. This perspective problem has an impact on teachers' courage in implementing active-integrative learning strategies in PAI learning in the classroom. The study recommends that teachers need to renew their perspective on the meaning of integrating material and learning objectives of Islamic religious education, as well as the ability and courage to apply active and integrative learning in learning Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop the Arabic proficiency of IAIN Pontianak students through learning developed Arabic drama clubs. This type of research is R&D (research and development) which is used as a step to produce a product. The steps used, namely: needs analysis, product planning and data collection, initial product design, material expert validation, media expert validation, field trials, and final product refinement, so as to produce a prototype of drama-based Arabic learning products, The results showed that drama using Arabic can improve Arabic language skills in IAIN Pontianak students. The steps for implementing drama-based Arabic learning in Arabic drama clubs are discussion, tarjamah bi tasharruf and bi harfiyah (mufradatisim, fi'il, and letters), maharatul qira'ah (mukassyafah and shautiyah), maharatul istima' (sam'iyah and syafawiyah), maharatul kalam (nabr and tangim) expressed with gestures, face, and taste, maharatul kitabah is done with imla' madzur techniques, and taqdim is presenting learning results comprehensively.

Abstract

In the Islamic world, education has various terms with different meanings, including tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib. This paper aims to analyze the differences between the three terms in the world of Islamic education, namely, tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib and how these three terms are implemented in the world of education. This paper is qualitative in nature with the use of the literature study method in writing its contents, in order to open data with data collection techniques through books and articles that have linear discussions on the main topic. Based on the data collection in this study, it was found that (1) tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib have the same meaning, namely education. (2) The application in education of the terms tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib has a difference in the emphasis on understanding. (3) In the current world of education, tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib can be implemented.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of the school committee in improving the quality of student religiosity at SMP Negeri Arun. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. To obtain accurate data, researchers conducted three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques consisted of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of the school committee in improving the quality of student religiosity at SMP Negeri Arun is as an advisory agency in determining and implementing educational policies in the field of student religiosity, as a supporting agency namely raising funds to support the implementation of student religiosity development activities, as a controlling agency for student religiosity self-development activities, and as a mediator agency for schools with student guardians and government related to student religiosity issues.

Abstract

The environmental crisis is no longer a national problem, but has become a global problem that is occurring today. Seeing the huge impact caused by this crisis, the world at the 2015 UN general assembly included addressing this environmental crisis in the SDGs goals. In the Islamic view, natural damage occurs due to external factors, namely due to human activity. The Qur'an strongly criticizes all damage caused by human actions on earth, such as Q.S Al-A'raf verse 56. On the other hand, in Q.S Hud verse 61, Allah determines humans as caliphs and prosperers on earth. If studied in depth, many verses from the Qur'an provide solutions to deal with the problem of environmental damage. Through qualitative descriptive methods, the author analyzes the verses of the Al-Qur'an. So the author formulates an action plan to overcome the environmental crisis by creating an educational book that is integrated with the Qur’an. This education aims to create a society that is wise towards nature, cares and is able to preserve nature. This society is what the author calls an intelligent living society.

Abstract

In the evolving era of increasing freedom, it has had an impact on the behavior of the Indonesian youth. Therefore, the role of schools becomes crucial in shaping and maintaining the behavior of the youth in accordance with noble values. In this context, the role of the school principal becomes highly significant in keeping up with these conditions. Hence, this research aims to identify the Role of the School Principal in Fostering Self-Reliant and Morally Upright Generations in two educational institutions, namely SMP IT Atsaqibiyah in Bontang City and MTs Al-Ikhlas in Bontang. This research is a qualitative study with a multi-site studies approach. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and interviews. Data presentation is categorized based on the elements of the school principal's role. Data analysis is conducted using an interactive method consisting of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is ensured through the extension of participation and researcher persistence tests. The research findings indicate that the Principal of SMP IT Atsaqibiyah in Bontang City plays the role of an effective manager, an administrator managing various aspects of the school, a supervisor providing guidance, a leader leading with leadership qualities, an innovator creating innovative learning environments, and a motivator fostering a motivating school community. Meanwhile, the Principal of MTs Al-Ikhlas in Bontang City has the role of a manager who integrates religious values, an administrator who establishes rules and regulations based on religious values, a supervisor who monitors the application of religious teachings, a leader in achieving religious educational goals, an innovator who stimulates creativity in religious education, and a motivator who motivates teachers and students to achieve religious educational goals. The main obstacles to fostering self-reliant and morally upright generations in both schools include students' lack of awareness of rules and regulations, negative environmental influences, challenges in implementing moral values, students' absenteeism from religious practices, and a lack of religious understanding. Solutions implemented include a proactive approach, close collaboration with parents and teachers, and the implementation of character development programs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education learning. How are the stages in the implementation of the independent curriculum in Islamic Education learning at SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collection in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam is carried out through 4 stages, namely: First, the stage of deepening the basic framework of the Independent Curriculum, where PAI teachers of SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam are actively involved in workshops and FGDs for the preparation of TP, ATP and learning modules. The stage of preparing documents, namely the Operational Curriculum for Education Units (KOSP), learning objectives (TP) and the flow of learning objectives (ATP), learning and assessment planning, and project planning to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (P5). For PAI subjects, the PAI teacher team refers to the Formulation of Learning Outcomes phase E and sets a time allocation of 5 (five) lesson hours for PAI. In the learning implementation phase, PAI subjects consisting of 5 elements are presented with a regular approach with a time allocation of 5 hours per week. At the monitoring and evaluation stage, teachers refer to the learning objectives and then develop indicators of learning achievement based on the essential material.

Abstract

Education is a process carried out by teachers and students when learning is carried out in the classroom. At this time the school began implementing an independent curriculum. The implementation of independent curriculum management in improving the quality of education at the Bukittinggi City MIN involves the education unit committee and various stakeholders including parents, organizations, various centers, under the coordination and supervision of the Bukittinggi City Education Office. The purpose of the study was to analyze the management of: (1) learning organization; (2) learning planning; (3) evaluation, mentoring and professional development. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research location is MIN Bukittinggi City. The research subjects are the implementers of the independent curriculum management, namely the principal, vice principal, teachers and learning committee. The results showed that the management of the implementation of the independent curriculum was effective and meaningful so as to improve the quality of education at MIN Kota Bukittinggi.
