Abstract

This study examines the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI), productivity (PR), and external debt (ULN) on Indonesia's economic growth from 1993 to 2022. The findings, derived from the application of Autoregressive Distributed Lag and ECM models, indicate that FDI exerts a negligible and inconsequential influence over the long term, despite exhibiting a favourable impact in the immediate term. The findings indicate that productivity has a positive but insignificant effect, suggesting the necessity for additional time or other factors to facilitate a more measurable impact in the long run. While external debt has the most significant effect on long-term economic growth, with positive potential if allocated to productive projects, this research underscores the significance of effective debt management and support to enhance productivity and promote sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the development model for rural tourism destinations, focusing on Kelor Village in Sleman, Yogyakarta. As a rural tourism area, Kelor Village combines natural beauty with unique cultural elements, making it an attractive destination. This research aims to analyze the organizational structure of the village's tourism management, the collaboration between stakeholders in decision-making processes, and the policies implemented to enhance the effectiveness of stakeholder roles in sustainable tourism development. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study reveals that Kelor Village’s tourism management involves multiple stakeholders, including local residents, government bodies, and private sector actors. However, challenges such as limited resources and competition with neighboring villages affect the village's ability to provide consistent, high- quality services. The findings suggest that improving stakeholder collaboration, enhancing infrastructure, and offering regular training could strengthen Kelor Village’s position as a sustainable tourism destination. This research contributes to the literature on rural tourism management by highlighting the importance of community involvement and collaborative policy-making for long-term success. Abstract

This study explores the aesthetics of gedruk music, focusing on the tonal blend of bonang, kempul, and saron within campursari. The integration of gedruk reflects the cultural dynamics of an evolving society, enriching the music while offering a fresh identity that revitalizes local culture. In campursari performances, gedruk creates a new spatial and temporal form, opening unique musical horizons. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, this study examines how gedruk emerges and transforms campursari. The sounds and rhythms of gedruk produce a distinct aesthetic that enriches the genre. Data collection includes document and video analysis of campursari performances featuring gedruk, alongside direct observations and interviews with performers and groups. Aesthetic analysis aims to understand how folk art adapts into popular music, focusing on rhythm, harmony, expression, and contextual elements. The study finds gedruk introduces a fresh aesthetic to campursari, blending traditional elements into popular music. This fusion simplifies complex tonal structures, reducing monotony for performers. Psychologically, this simplicity creates a fresh atmosphere and enhances enthusiasm among performers and audiences, demonstrating how folk elements like gedruk can redefine and enrich modern campursari music.

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the role of the creative economy in contributing to regional economic growth by synthesizing empirical findings from reputable national and international research. Utilizing a simplified Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the analysis covers a 15-year period (2010–2025), focusing on scholarly works that link the creative and industrial economy to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). From an initial pool of 52 relevant publications, only 25 Scopus-indexed and 5 credible non-Scopus articles met the inclusion criteria for rigorous analysis. The review reveals that the creative economy holds substantial potential to enhance regional economic performance, especially in times of economic uncertainty. However, the magnitude and nature of its impact vary based on local policy frameworks, institutional readiness, and socioeconomic contexts. Supportive innovation ecosystems and well-aligned government policies are key enablers in maximizing the sector’s productivity and resilience. Furthermore, the findings underscore the global relevance of the creative economy, highlighting its adaptability across diverse regions and economic structures. Beyond synthesizing the current literature, this study identifies critical gaps and future research directions. These include examining how the creative economy can respond to emerging global challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and economic inequality. The integration of advanced technologies to foster creativity and innovation also emerges as a strategic imperative for sustainable regional development.

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines how agricultural policy regimes developed by the United States, the European Union, and New Zealand since the end of World War II have contributed to structural inequalities in the global food system, particularly in relation to developing countries such as Indonesia. The primary focus is a critical analysis of moral narratives—such as hunger alleviation—used to legitimize protectionist policies, including export-based food aid in the United States, multifunctional subsidies in the European Union, and market liberalization in New Zealand. Employing a historical-political approach and critical policy analysis and supported by a systematic literature review following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, this study reveals how these policies reinforce the dominance of developed countries in global food governance while undermining food sovereignty in the Global South. The findings underline the urgency for Indonesia to formulate agricultural policies that are locally grounded, socially just, and environmentally sustainable. Approaches such as agroecology, agrarian reform, and protections for smallholder farmers are proposed as more contextually a

Abstract

This study explores the influence of minimum wages, TPAK, and education levels on unemployment rates. The data analyzed covers the Solo Raya area for 2020-2024, designed to capture spatial and temporal variations between these variables. The study results indicate that minimum wages, TPAK, and education have no simultaneous influence on unemployment. This finding provides important implications for policy that the determination of minimum wages should consider productivity and regional conditions to avoid negative impacts on the labor market.
