Abstract

ABSTRACT Plurality or pluralism is a real situation that must be accepted by all Indonesian people who are built on the basis of differences. These differences at some point can create conflict. Therefore, a solution or prevention is needed, namely multicultural education, so that plurality or pluralism can be maintained and accepted as an asset or wealth owned by the Indonesian nation. The aim is to maintain national harmonization and integration. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method with reference to Milles and Huberman theory. Thus, the results obtained that multicultural education is problem solving in the midst of plurality or pluralism, which increasingly leads to something negative or fanaticism in various aspects or dimensions. The conclusion is plurality or pluralism is a social fact that must be accepted consciously and critically in order to create the condition of Indonesian human beings who are respectful, respectful, peaceful, secure, orderly, and share each other in order to improve the sovereign, fair and prosperous dignity of the nation and civilized. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peer teaching model on the learning achievement of grade VII students, on the rectangular subject at SMPK Immaculata Ruteng, Flores, NTT. The research method was an experimental method, with post-test only control group design. Sampling of the experimental and control classes was carried out by a random class procedure, which preceded by an equivalence test through Anava. The research sample for the experimental class was 31 students, treated with peer tutoring learning models. And the research sample for the control class was 30 students, using conventional learning models. The instrument of this research was a test instrument in the form of description. The data analysis showed that the experimental group got an average value of 79,77 while the control group got an average value of 65,83. Calculation on data for the hypothesis test, we obtained = 4,1736 and = 1.6711. Because then is rejected and is accepted. In this case, = the average value of the learning achievement of the experimental class, while = the average value of the learning achievement of the control class. Means, student learning achievement taught by peer tutor learning models is higher than student learning achievement taught with conventional learning models. So, in an effort to build student mathematics learning achievement, peer tutoring learning models are more effective than conventional learning models. Keywords: Peer Teaching, Learning Achievement

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the effectiveness of PKN learning towards the development of student nationalism in Manggarai Regency. By knowing the effectiveness of PKN learning, the government and educational institutions should specifically pay attention to the whole process of organizing learning. This type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative conducted in schools from elementary school to high school in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques include the analysis of student responses and activities. Based on the results of research students in Manggarai Regency have an attitude of nationalism known thanks to the learning PKN obtained during their education. The spirit of student nationalism is reflected in the attitude of creating harmony in religious life, upholding the law, being active in national development and feeling proud as an Indonesian citizen.

Abstract

In the life of the Manggarai community, numbers 1-10 each have different names or designations. Furthermore, for numbers 10 - 90 there are additional phonemes / m / and followed by the word pulu from numbers 1-9, and specifically for multiples of 10, there is a sound change from / a / to / e /, such as se (ce) mpulu, suampulu , telumpulu, and so on. While numbers 11-19 are a combination of numbers 10 - 90 with numbers 1-9, such as se (ce) mpulu ca, se (ce) mpulu sua, se (ce) mpulu telu, ..., se (ce) mpulu siok (ciok ), suampulu sa / ca, suampulu sua, suampulu telu, ..., suampulu siok / ciok, telumpulu sa (ca), telumpulu sua, telumpulu telu, and so on up to siok (ciok) mpulusiok (ciok). Furthermore, numbers 100 - 900 are called se(ce) ratus, sua ratus, telu ratus, and so on up to Siok (ciok) ratus. Numbers 1000, 2000, 3000, and so on are called ce ribu (ce sebu), sua ribu (sua sebu), telu ribu (telu sebu), and so on. In addition to the base 10 numbers, also found the use of base numbers 2, base 4, base 8, and base 100 as found in the western region of Manggarai. These base numbers 2, base 4, base 8 and base 100 are used in packaging corn. Corn packages consisting of 2 grains are called wasé, packages consisting of 4 grains are called ndurung, packages consisting of 8 grains are called dolé, and packages containing 100 grains or suampulu lima ndurung are called limbung. Various types of tools that are often used by the Manggarai community to say, among others: fingers, corn kernels, dukut ré'a, with measurement units used are: dalo, héndok, pagat, ciku, depa, dako, tongka, wega and so on . The amount of time is: leso, week, lu'ang / wulang, ntaung, and so on. Length measuring instruments commonly used are Ntawang / Ndawang wasé and wasé ajo, the units of which are meters. The length measuring unit commonly used by the Manggarai community is; dalo, héndok, pagat, ciku, depa, and lampa or nggap.

Abstract

The effort to maintain the balance of the natural environment is the responsibility of all humans on earth. The Waso Community (Anak Waso Community, AWAS.com) and the Waso indigenous community have been trying to carry out their responsibilities by carrying out reforestation activities for three years. To see the extent of these efforts carried out and get its impact, it is necessary to do social research. The main objective of this social research is to observe and evaluate comprehensively the steps of the Waso children's community in carrying out reforestation activities for three years in the Bangka Poa region, as well as the impact of the activities carried out. To describe the efforts of the Awas.Com community in protecting the environment, researchers conducted social research carried out using the Planning, Organizing, Acting, Impact (POAI) method. The research results illustrate that this reforestation activity has shown a positive impact in the form of the recovery of the natural conditions of the Bangka Poa region and the stable water debit in several springs. The research study also looks at and evaluates that reforestation activities for three years in a row have had a direct or indirect impact on the growth and development of ecological, sociological, economic and religious awareness and responsibilities in the community and Waso young generation.

Abstract

This study mainly aims to determine the effect of the use of audiovisual media on learning outcomes of fourth grade students at MIS Amanah Ruteng in the 2018/2019 school year. This research includes quantitative research, with the type of experimental research. The design in this study was the prepostest control group design. The sampling technique is done by total sampling, which the entire population of fourth grade is used as a sample. The research sample consisted of 21 students of 4thA grade as the control class and 21 students of 4thB grade as the experimental class. The data collection technique in this study was a multiple choice test technique with 30 instruments. The results of the validity test contained 26 valid items and 4 items were invalid with a reliability of 0.932. Based on the results of the analysis showed the value of tcount was 7.38 and the value of ttable was 2.02 at a significance level of 0.05. The calculation results showed the value of tcount 7.38 > 2.02 ttable. This shows that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that science learning assisted by audiovisual media was proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study attempts to examine perception, the students’ behavior, and way of managing rubbish at SDK IV, Ruteng Flores NTT. This research is also sought to find out an effective strategy toward internalizing the ecological awareness to the primary students. The research product is the strategy of managing rubbish at the school environment, which is also recommended to other institutions. The data were obtained through questionnaire, interview, observation, and treatment as well as document review. The data were descriptively analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research revealed that the school employed a self- management of rubbish involving the students, the teachers, and the staffs. The students’ perception increased from 60.27% to 83 %. The findings indicated that the internalization treatment improve the students’ perception and ecological awareness toward rubbish management at the school.

Abstract

Ideally, teacher is an important figure for the success of all educational processes in any education level. In the primary school, the presence of teacher cannot be neglected. In this level, a good teacher takes such roles as father, mother, brother and friend for young learners. On the other hand, the primary school teachers do not act as lecturer, trainer, and science guard. In this case, the acts of giving commands, imposition, pressure, and indoctrination should be avoidable. This writing overviews constructive ideas on education of Mangunwijaya eventhough it is very simple and far from ideal concepts. Hopefully, this writing is useful for those who care education.

Abstract

This study aims at producing thematic-integrative SSP through sociocultural perspective which is appropriate and effective. This study used design of Borg and Gall modified by Sukmadinata into three phases: (1) preliminary study, (2) the development of the model, and (3) testing model.The setting of research is at SDN Babarsari Sleman Regency. The research subjects include the fourth grade students and the teacher.In the preliminary studies, the data were obtained from interview and questionnaire, while at the stage of development model, the data were obtained from validation, questionnaire, and observation.At the stage of test model, the data were gathered from the test and analyzed by T test with a confidence interval of 95%.The results show that the SSP is effective in increasing learning achievement.This was proved by the average result of post-test is higher for the students who were treated by the traditional SSP than those using the learning materials from the Center of Curriculum 2013. The Significant difference in the T value is 3.73 with 31 degree of freedom and the two-tailed significance stands at 0.001.

Abstract

This study aims at producing teaching materials of lesson social study at primary school. This study used design into three phases: (1) preliminary study, (2) the development of the model, and (3) testing model. The research populations are fourth semester students of Teacher of Primary School Education departemen on STKIP St. Paul Ruteng in academic year 2013/2014. The research samples are two class (IIE and IIF). In the preliminary studies, the data were obtained from interview and observation, while at the stage of development model, the data were obtained from validation, questionnaire, and observation.At the stage of test model, the data were gathered from the test and analyzed by T test with a confidence interval of 95%.The results show that the teaching material model 4P integrated with reciprocal teaching is effective in increasing learning achievement.This was proved by the average result of post-test is higher for the students who were treated by the model 4P integrated with reciprocal teaching (exprimen class) than those not using that model (control class). Beside that, had positif respons of students on the teaching materials model 4P integrated with reciprocal teacing.
