Abstract

Traffic volume is one of the factors causing road damage. Rigid pavement is generally used on roads that have fairly heavy traffic. With the increasing number of vehicles it is possible that the road will suffer damage in a relatively short time .The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the volume of vehicle types with the level of road damage and the relationship of the volume of vehicle types with the level of road damage on rigid pavement. So it can be predicted in advance the value of road damage that will occur. The method used in this research is the method of analyzing vehicle volume and the level of road damage using the regression method. Namely to get the function of the relationship with the value of R ² (coefficient of determination) which shows the magnitude of the effect of changes in the variation of the volume of vehicle types to changes in the value of road damage. This research was conducted in the Pantura Tegal - Pemalang Lane section . There is a relationship between the volume of vehicle types and the value of road damage. With the result R² = 0, 892 show k of damage roads that influenced the volume type of light vehicles and heavy vehicles have a percentage of 8 9.2 %. With the results of the heavy vehicle equation (X2) and the value of road damage (Y) that is Y = 0, 27 X2 + 8 , 887 . From this equation can be described as follows .. Regression coefficient X2 ( a ) = 0 , 27 , meaning that heavy vehicles by 100 vehicles / day will increase the level of road damage by 27 , constant (c) = If no vehicles pass a road , the road will suffer a road damage of 8 , 887.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are significant differences between student learning outcomes using media concept maps and Audio-Visual media on educational statistics material in the Biology Education Study Program by teaching using concept map media and Audiovisual media. This type of research is experimental research. The sample in this study was only 1 class, 32 students. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes use audio-visual media rather than teaching using concept maps, where obtained 𝑋̅1 = 7.806 and SD 𝑋̅1 = 0.788 for Audiovisual Media, while for conventional teaching obtained 𝑋̅2 = 6.333 and SD 𝑋̅2 = 2.224 While the percentage the increase in student learning outcomes of the experimental class was 35.12% and the percentage of the control class increased by 32.20%. The results of data analysis showed t hit> t table (5.43> 2.00). So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on learning outcomes in biology statistical material for the fourth semester of the Biology Education Study Program.

Abstract

Indonesia has implemented the 2013 curriculum as a text-based learning framework. The text is used as a defender of science. The logical consequence, language skills are an absolute requirement for students so that they can achieve learning goals. On the other hand, writing is the highest skill in the language. Therefore, the study was aimed to describe the explanatory writing skills of fifth-grade elementary students. This research is a descriptive qualitative study using a sample of fifth-grade students in public elementary schools in the city of Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Data collection techniques using documents and interviews. Source triangulation is used as data validity. The results showed that the greatest difficulty students had in writing explanations was writing cohesive and coherent sentences and paragraphs. They are only able to write their ideas without regard to syntactic rules. These writing skills involve students' metacognitive skills which also reflect other language skills such as listening and reading. This research output will be useful for academics and practitioners in determining the right learning approach to improve the success of text-based learning or the 2013 curriculum.

The existence of this law is expected to provide the right opportunity to improve its professionalism through training, writing scientific papers, Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) and Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants used in this study were the teachers who were members of the Kelompok Kerja Guru Cluster 2, Duduksampeyan Regency, Gresik Regency who implemented the 2013 curriculum. The technique of taking research informants conducted in this study was using non probability sampling. Non-probability sampling techniques used in this study were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Kelompok Kerja Guru are also forums or places that can be used to foster and enhance the professionalism of elementary school teachers (Depdiknas, 1997: 46). KKG has benefits including as a place to accommodate and solve problems faced by teachers in teaching and learning activities, discussions, examples of teaching, demonstration of the use and manufacture of teaching aids (Alwi, 2009). Based on the discussion of research findings about the role of the Teacher Working Group (KKG) in implementing learning to improve the performance of elementary school teachers, there can be some conclusions that the role of the Kelompok Kerja Guru in carrying out the stages of lesson study activities has been effective because the KKG can provide understanding, guidance, goals, and benefits of lesson study.
