Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of application-based learning resources in the NCO Vocational School of Music, Education and Training Center. This study uses Quasy Experimental Design in the experimental class and the control class. Consists of two stages, namely (1) the preparation phase aims to utilize application-based learning resources, (2) the implementation phase uses pre-test and post-test designs in the experimental class and the control class. The results showed that there were differences in the experimental class and the control class through the results of different tests (Mann Whitney) on pre-test and post-test. The pre-test results showed U > Ucritical, conclusions H0 accepted the results of the pre-test there was no difference. Post-test results: U < Severe, conclusions H0 rejected post-test results there are differences. The results of data analysis show that there is an influence of the use of application-based learning resources on Music Theory Basic subjects on experimental class learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the inner reasons of dropping out of street children from non-formal primary education program. With this study also we can have a figure of the lifestyle, needs and social conditions of street children. To have the findings of my study qualitative research method will be conducted. In accordance with the study objectives from the large areas only 1 authority member, 1 teacher, 5 admitted children and 5 dropped out children were selected as sample. I designed open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview to collect my data. The thematic analysis method was used for data analysis. I have a variation in findings because of using questionnaire for teacher and authority and interview for children. Moreover in commonly I can say the demographic conditions, lackings of parental care and guidance, lackings of Interest and awareness, lackings of facilities, lackings of economic support, effects of misguidances, lackings of proper relationship among program stuff with parents and childrens are major problems that disturbed the street children to continue their education. Considering the findings it can be recommended that increasing of education program or giving support with educational equipment is not enough to continue education in this marginal sector of society. It is more important to grow consciousness, make them understood the importance of education, giving them a link of better future through education and make a reliable environment between education program and parents-children. Keywords: Street Children, Non-formal Education Program, Drop out

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the increase in student cognitive learning outcomes within material of occupational health and safety at the laboratory by implementing the Numbered Heads Together model, as well as obtains the students perspective toward the implementation of the model. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental method through one group pretest-posttest design conducted at University of Samudra. Data collection was done by pretest and posttest to find the escalation in cognitive learning outcomes, as well as a questionnaire to determine student responses to the numbered heads together learning model. The average value of N-gain cognitive learning outcomes was 0.51, which was categorized as moderate category; it meant that in general, there was an increase in cognitive learning outcomes of students. Descriptively, students also gave a positive response toward implementation of the Numbered Heads Together model, so it can be concluded that learning with the Numbered Heads Together Model can improve student cognitive learning outcomes.

One of the best non-formal institutions to develop early childhood talent is the Yamaha Music School course institute. This is what makes researchers interested in learning which is done by Yamaha Music School course for early childhood. This type of research uses qualitative research, ranging from lesson planning, implementation of learning to evaluation of learning. Data collection techniques used non-contributory types of observation, documentation and structured interviews conducted face-to-face. The subjects of this study were early childhood at the age of 3 years and a lecturer in Wonderland Music Class Moshi-Moshi Yamaha Music School. The form of lesson planning for wonderland music classes ranging from materials, methods, models, media and time allocation has been designed by the Yamaha Music School Foundation of Japan but can be developed by each teacher according to the situations that occur in the classroom during the learning process. The classroom learning atmosphere created by the teacher is great for the child to feel good about music. Abstract

The very rapid development of technology is slowly appearing in the world of education. Educational games are a form of multimedia that packages learning programs in the form of games, so besides being games, they are also educational. The use of game education technology as an interactive learning medium is one of the right ways to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. This educational game is expected to eliminate the feeling of boredom and fear of learning mathematics and can facilitate the learning process on geometry material for Senior High School (SMA)/Islamic Senior High School (MA). This study aims to develop an Android-based educational game that can be operated on various smartphones with the Android operating system and to test the feasibility of using adventure games as a medium for learning geometry. This game can be used as an alternative medium for learning geometry in changing conventional learning methods to learning game simulations, so as to improve students' mathematical creative thinking abilities, because in educational games it has elements of challenge, accuracy, reasoning and ethics. The methodology used in this research is the research development method or Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model with the following activity stages: (1) Analysis, gathering information; (2) Design, designing multimedia-based animation media and validating media designs; (3) Development, improvement of media design; (4) Implementation, media testing; (5) Evaluation, product revision.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an inquiry learning model on Indonesian subjects. This model emphasizes the discovery of meaning contained in a text. This inquiry learning model was developed through the Plomp model (2013) which consisted of the preliminary research stage, the prototype stage, and the assessment stage. This model is validated by experts in terms of substance aspects, presentation, language, and graphics. This model was tested in class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak to see the practicality and effectiveness. This study shows that the inquiry learning model in Indonesian language subjects in class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak is valid, practical, and effective. The validity of the inquiry learning model seen from the results of content validation and constructs with a score of 3.70 is a very valid category. The practicality of the inquiry learning model can be seen from the results of the practical sheet filled by students of 84.5 with a very practical category, while the effectiveness of the inquiry learning model seen from the increase in student learning outcomes by 94.65 in the very effective category.

Abstract

The main problem in formal learning today is the low absorption of students in understanding the material. This can be seen from the average student learning outcomes which are always still low. Low learning outcomes are indicated because the learning conditions are still conventional (lectures, practicums, and discussions). This study aims to determine the effect of pair programming learning models on learning outcomes of vocational high school students. This research was conducted through a literature review and relevant research results and was continued through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). From the research it was found that there was a significant positive influence between the variable pair programming learning model and student learning outcomes, which means that student learning outcomes can be improved through the application of the pair programming learning model.
