Abstract

Funding for education in Islam basically focuses on distributing education costs and burdens that must be borne by the community. Things that need to be considered in education financing are the amount of money that must be spent and where the source of the money is obtained. Thus, based on the source, the cost of education is obtained from the cost of education that comes from the government, the community, and the Baitul Mal. The main obstacle in financing Islamic education is due to limited sources of funds, low support for the community. In this case the thought about the source of education costs, at least the education providers must have planned it in detail because if the implementation process only depends on certain parties, in this case, the education providers are not serious in developing it. All these aspects are the concern of Pesantren in providing education to students, thus the educational aspect becomes part of the aspect of assessment that is very important in learning. The right attitude to respond to today's developments is expressed by the values of moral education developed through management functions to improve the quality of Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools. By implementing it in formal education, Pesantren education, informal education, and non-formal education, it will produce spiritual values, ethical honesty values, and tolerance values. Based on this view, the program implemented felt by all Pesantren residents through a good financial system.

Abstract

This study is descriptive explorative which aims to see the needs of teachers and students in implementing High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) based learning in thematic learning. The research objectives were achieved through observation, interviews and document study. The results of observations show that in learning students have problems with learning interest, this can be seen when students do activities that are not related to learning. Meanwhile, the results of the interviews which were supported by document study data revealed that in the thematic book the conceptual presentation was not given in depth. It is necessary to add various activities that support the student learning process. In addition, the teacher argues that it is necessary to provide pictures as an illustration of the teaching concept given, this is because elementary school students are in the 7-11 year age range who are still in the concrete operational thinking stage which requires textbooks that can present abstract concepts. concretely. Based on this, it is natural that students are not interested in participating in learning. This study concludes that the thematic textbooks currently used have shortcomings in the presentation of HOTS material and supporting activities. To cover these shortcomings, it is necessary to develop thematic books that have a more complete concept of material and are made according to the characteristics of elementary school students and contain various activities to support HOTS ability improvement. The development of textbooks is needed as an effort to increase learning interest so that learning objectives can be maximally achieved.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that must be mastered by every students because it relates to everyday life. However, many students consider mathematics to be a difficult and scary subject. Students only consider mathematics as a subject that includes numbers into the formula and the process of memorizing lessons. This results in low students' mathematical communication skills, especially in solving math tasks in the form of stories. This study aims to see the mathematical communication skills of students who are taught through the Team Assisted Individualized (TAI) type of cooperative learning model assisted by interactive media that is better than using scientific learning. The approach used in this research is quantitative. This research is a quasi experiment. The population of this study were all students of class VII and students of class VII 1 as the control class and class VII 3 as the experimental class. The samples were selected by purposive sampling. The research design used was the nonequivalent control group posttest-only design. Retrieval of data in the study using students' mathematical communication tests (posttest). Data collected from the results of the analysis test using SPSS 25 to find normality using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, and hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney U test. Regarding the research objectives, the results obtained from this study are students' mathematical communication skills. through cooperative learning type Team Assisted Individualized (TAI) assisted by interactive media gives an effect compared to students who get scientific learning. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U test, it is known that the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed), namely 0.001 <α 0.05.

Abstract

Number sense can vary from person to person, number sense variations can be caused by learning experiences of mathematics, mathematical abilities, and cognitive styles. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the number sense profile of grade V SD students in terms of the field-dependent and field-independent cognitive styles on fraction material. So the research begins by giving a math ability test, cognitive style test, and number sense test. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students of SDN Ngagel Rejo V Surabaya with field-dependent and field-independent styles with equivalent math abilities. Data collection was continued with the number sense test, and interviews and checks using time triangulation. The results showed that students with a field-independent cognitive style tended to use logical reasoning and actively processed information and were able to simplify complex problems well. They also have a high of number sense so that they can answer and describe answers based on their analytical skills. For example, when comparing the concept of numbers, they can show that there is another fraction or decimal between two fractions or decimals. Whereas students in the field-dependent cognitive style only compare the values of the two fractions or decimals, which means they have difficulty separating and distinguishing objects. simple of complex objects. They also tend to do conventional learning such as doing multiplication using a pencil and writing on paper and cannot analyze a thing or question with an estimate or approach. Therefore, students' cognitive styles must be learned and aligned with existing teaching strategies in several schools. Teaching adjustments that are in line with students' cognitive styles are needed to improve student performance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the management of students with special needs in schools at State Junior High School 30 Surabaya and Alam Insan Mulia Junior High School Surabaya by paying attention to student management which includes: (a) student planning, (b) student coaching , (c) student evaluation and (d) student mutation. Based on the problems or case studies that occur, at State Junior High School 30 Surabaya and Alam Insan Mulia Junior High School Surabaya, the management of students with special needs has many problems such as a lack of cooperation between educators and inadequate management processes for students with special needs. The method used is qualitative research, with a type of case study because it aims to obtain in-depth data and information so that the aim is to determine the implementation of management for students with special needs. The subjects of this study were the principal, deputy principal of student affairs, school teachers, coordinator of inclusion, teachers and homeroom teachers as well as most students with special needs from each school. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study was an interactive analysis model consisting of three components, namely data condensation, data triangulation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of research obtained at State Junior High School 30 Surabaya and Alam Insan Mulia Junior High School Surabaya show that the management of students carried out is mostly in accordance with the indicators in this study. The planning, coaching, evaluation and transfer processes are carried out in accordance with the procedures, vision and mission of the school and regulations of the education office. The inhibiting factors found were the lack of communication and cooperation between teachers, student coordinators with special needs and parents. This research is expected to be useful for researchers studying the field of inclusion and student management.
