Abstract

Science learning based on local wisdom is increasingly gaining attention in the context of learning, especially ethnoscience approach that connects science with traditional knowledge of the local wisdom. This study aims to make science learning more relevant and contextual for students by connecting scientific concepts with local wisdom in the community. The research method used literature review study by collecting reference sources from Google Scholar. Literature studies that examine various studies related to the application of science learning based on local wisdom to use local wisdom in science education in schools. The data analysis technique used in this literature study research is content analysis that contains science process skill and critical thinking skills. The journals that are in accordance with the topic consist of 10 articles. The results of this study indicate that the application of ethnoscience through local wisdom can improve students' understanding of scientific concepts, strengthen their involvement in the learning process, can improve students' science process skills, such as observing, experimenting, analysing, and concluding data, and encouraging the development of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

21st century learning are fundamental in developing aspects of learning in the world of education in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze and explain the relevance of Vygotsky's constructivism learning theory in the independent curriculum in elementary schools. 21st century learning in the independent curriculum in differentiated learning is an effort to adjust the learning process in the classroom with the aim of meeting the learning needs of each individual. The adjustment is by developing learners' 4C abilities, interests, learning profiles and learners' readiness in order to achieve improved learning outcomes. Learners can learn according to their own abilities and find understanding from their own experiences. This research was used the library research method by analyzing related literature sources and articles and books as references. Vygotsky's constructivism emphasizes the interaction of interpersonal (social), cultural-historical, and individual factors as the key to human development. Constructivism theory has relevance to differentiated learning in terms of meaningful learning and learner engagement. The results of 21st century learning in the independent curriculum in differentiated learning apply the theory of constructivism in learning by paying attention to the individual characteristics of students. Supported by the concept of Zone of Proximal of Development (ZPD) and scaffolding is very relevant in differentiated learning that accommodates all the potential of students and pays attention to the individual abilities of students so that they can optimize the 4C skills of students.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools must innovate to develop numerical literacy as a 21st-century skill. This study aims to develop teaching materials oriented toward numerical literacy to help third-grade elementary school students apply mathematical concepts to solve real-life problems. This research employs a qualitative method with a content analysis design on integrative thematic textbooks. The findings indicate that effective learning in developing numerical literacy requires both intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches. These approaches enable students to engage in Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) through mathematics material presented contextually, transitioning from concrete to abstract. Thus, the implemented learning strategies can equip elementary school students with numerical literacy from an early age, which is essential for adapting to the challenges of modern developments.

Abstract

Inequality in access and quality of basic education in remote areas is still a serious challenge, especially in areas with difficult geographical conditions such as Merauke Regency. This study aims to evaluate the gap in school infrastructure, the distribution of teaching staff, and pedagogical reform in the context of limited resources. The method used was a descriptive statistical analysis of secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency of Merauke Regency, including the School Participation Rate, Gross Participation Rate, and Pure Participation Rate, as well as the teacher-student ratio to identify inequality in access and quality of education. The results of the study show that school access is still limited for people in remote areas due to limited infrastructure and long distances, while the deficit of teaching staff has an impact on the high teacher-student ratio, hindering learning effectiveness. The lack of pedagogical adaptation to local limitations also exacerbates the educational gap. Therefore, an evidence-based policy strategy is needed that includes incentive schemes for educators, strengthening community-based schools, and reforming more adaptive learning methods to create a more inclusive and sustainable basic education system.

Abstract

This research is a bibliometric analysis. Meta data analyzed by bibliometric analysis is meta data of documents on "science learning in elementary schools". The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the development of "science learning in elementary schools" research that has existed to date. The method used is mixed method by combining bibliometric analysis and explanatory analysis. Meta data documents are taken from the Scopus website. An initial search with more general keywords resulted in 197,454 documents. Then filtered and selected based on criteria that reinforce that the selected documents are the results of research on science learning in elementary school and the final meta data number is 138 documents. The results of bibliometric analysis assisted by biblioshiny application show that research on this topic has started in 1956 and continues to grow rapidly until now. This study also shows data that the Jurnal Pendidikan IPA Indonesia is the largest publisher of articles on science learning in elementary schools. And at the end of the analysis shows related topics and recommendations that research on science learning in elementary schools is still very relevant and has a fairly low density. And at the end of the analysis shows related topics and recommendations that research on science learning in elementary schools is still very relevant and has a fairly low density.
