Abstract

In the learning process there needs to be motivation so that students can improve their learning outcomes. By participating in learning activities, students are expected to be able to develop themselves socially, emotionally, intellectually, linguistically, morally and personally in the positive direction that everyone wants. This is inversely proportional to the current reality that there are still students who are shy or don't dare to express their thoughts in public.thus making students less confident when answering questions from the teacher so that rewards come out as reinforcement. This study aims to reveal the giving of rewards to students' self-confidence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews. The subject of this research is a class III teacher at MI Al-Mutaqin. The results of the study revealed that the application of rewards to students at the elementary school/Madarsah Ibtidaiyah level was given by the teacher in learning including giving verbal rewards. The reward given has the impact of growing students self-confidence in learning. Keywords: Confidence, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Reward

Abstract

Moral education is a learning material that must be truly understood and applied by students in everyday life. Because morals determine the personality and character of students. In the current era, students often encounter moral crises caused by several factors. A teacher must be able to solve this problem so that students have commendable morals and can achieve learning goals. This study uses qualitative research methods by carrying out data collection techniques through interviews, previous research and expert opinions as reinforcement. While the data analysis technique is using data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. This research reveals that both MI and SD provide education on commendable morals, but MI has more moral education because it is taught in three subjects, namely fiqh, akidah akhlak and al-Quran hadith. Whereas in elementary school the subjects that contain moral education are in PAI but thematic and PKn lessons also often discuss moral education. SD and MI also have programs to guide student morals, starting from students shaking hands with the teacher every morning, Friday imtaq at MI and reading juz amma at the beginning of every month at SD.Keywords: elementary school, madrasah ibtidaiyah, moral education.

Abstract

The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) states that students in Indonesia have low-level thinking skills in the international education arena. Certainly, this poses a significant challenge for the government and educators to improve the quality of education. One of the programs undertaken by the Ministry of Education and Culture is the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) based learning program. Alongside the development of technology and information, this also impacts the education sector, which must adapt to technological advancements. Continuous innovations in teaching and learning, including innovations in assessment methods, are emerging. One way of evaluating learning that teachers can use is the Kahoot application. This research aims to demonstrate how the utilization of the Kahoot application serves as a learning evaluation tool in elementary schools. The research method used is qualitative description with data collection through interviews and questionnaires. The subjects of this research are sixth-grade teachers and students in Public Elementary Schools in East OKU District. The results of the research indicate that the utilization of the Kahoot application represents a new innovation in the field of education. The Kahoot application makes it easier for teachers to assess students' problem-solving performance and creates an enjoyable learning process that encourages students to think critically.
