Abstract

Learning skills to make rhymes in class V SD Negeri 07 Padang Sarai has not taken place as expected. This can be seen from the low results of rhyme making skills. The Make A Match model was chosen to overcome these problems. This study aims to improve the skills of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 07 Padang Sarai about making rhymes. The make a match model is defined as a learning system that prioritizes the cultivation of social skills, especially the ability to cooperate, the ability to interact in addition to the ability to think quickly through games to find partners with the help of cards. The implementation of the make a match method on the material for making rhymes is done by modifying the question and answer cards into sampiran cards and the contents of the pantun. The cards are shuffled by shuffling before being distributed to students. Each student is given one card, then instructed to form groups of 4 members. If combined, the cards of the four people in the group must contain a rhyme. Each correct group will be given a prize, otherwise the wrong group will be punished according to mutual agreement. This learning model with a game approach will be very interesting for students. The skill of the teacher when designing and implementing the make a match model is the key to the success of learning activities

Abstract

Constructivism learning theory is an educational theory that puts forward the improvement of logical and conceptual development of learning. Constructivism theory believes that students construct knowledge for themselves. Constructivism is the cornerstone of contextual approach thinking, namely that knowledge is built not a set of facts, concepts, or rules that are ready to be remembered. Students must construct that knowledge and give meaning through real experience. Students need to be accustomed to solving problems, finding something useful for themselves. Students must construct knowledge in their own minds. Critical thinking is an effort made by someone to check the truth of an information using the availability of evidence, logic, and awareness. Critical thinking skills are students' cognitive processes in analyzing systematically and specifically the problems encountered, as well as identifying and reviewing information in order to plan problem solving strategies

This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The procedure in each cycle includes the following steps: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The test result data explaining negative integers was analyzed by comparing the test scores between cycles until the results reached the completion limit according to the performance indicators. The action research carried out in two cycles showed that the average pre-cycle was 58.5 completeness 35%, the first cycle was 70 60% complete, the second cycle 80 was 95% complete. Based on the actions taken, it can be concluded: The use of the Numbered Heads Together model can improve learning outcomes to explain negative integers by 60% of VI grade students of SDN 2 Sugihan for the 2019/2020 school year by 35%.

Abstract

Learning that is usually carried out in educational institutions so far is face-to-face learning before the world is called a global disaster, namely the corona virus. Even in elementary schools, learning is carried out face-to-face between teachers and students. However, when the corona virus also reached Indonesia, the face-to-face learning that was usually carried out turned into learning at home (BDR). More than 2 years of implementing home learning (BDR) has an impact on students. One of them is that they become less motivated to learn. The aims of this study were to (1) describe the learning motivation of students; (2) describe how to increase students' learning motivation. The results of this study are (1) learning motivation is the driving force of individuals both internally and externally to achieve learning objectives (2) how to increase students' learning motivation is to improve the quality of learning, choose appropriate learning methods, maximize learning facilities, utilize the use of media, conduct learning evaluation.
