Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of a sewer inspection robot that utilizes the A-Star algorithm for pathfinding. The robot is intended to provide a more efficient solution for culvert workers in inspecting sewer pipes, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. The A-Star algorithm was chosen due to its ease of implementation and low computational resource requirements, making it suitable for real-time applications. The robot was designed with a modular approach, allowing for flexibility in adapting to different pipe sizes and configurations. It is equipped with various sensors and cameras, allowing for accurate inspection of pipe conditions and identification of potential issues. The A-Star algorithm was used to plan the robot's path through the sewer pipes, minimizing the time required for inspection and reducing the risk of damage to the pipes. The results of the implementation showed that the sewer inspection robot using the A-Star algorithm was able to efficiently navigate through the sewer pipes, reducing the time required for inspection and minimizing the need for manual labor. In order to check the performance, we performed experiments on six test models through simulation. On average, the proposed algorithm showed remarkable results, where all models can generate path planning to find the target from the start position. We obtained an average time completion from Models 1 to 6 with a maximum travel distance of 30 meters of 12.96, 4.47, 18.59, 20.71, 24.93, and 19.34 seconds.

Abstract

In recent years, the telecommunication industry is growth and become very competitive where has reached the point maintaining customer is very essential than acquiring new customer. And the two key factor for maintaining customer, the first is defining the segment of customer want to churn and the second is accuracy of predictive model. In this article we propose the hybrid model based on decision tree and artificial neural network (ANN) with the two stages of process to answer the problem of maintaining customer, the first is a segmentation phase with decision rules and the second is a prediction phase with artificial neural network (ANN). Our finding in benchmarked against the previous algorithms (decision tree and ANN) with the AUC metrics show the proposed model or hybrid achieves better accuracy and with the comprehensive information of what a drive customer churn

Abstract

A decision support system is a system that can quickly solve problems that occur in rankings and can find out the highest to lowest values in an election. This study aims to implement the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Simple Additive Weighting methods in analyzing data on criteria and decision alternatives that can be used by prospective students who are still unsure about which major to take in college. The criteria used in this study were suitability with educational background, semester fees, employment, interests and talents and parents' requests. while the alternatives used are all faculties and study programs at Budi Luhur University. The analysis was carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method to determine the weight of the criteria used and the Simple Additive Weight method to find out the ranking of non-uniform assessments to determine the priority of alternative choices. The results of the analysis using the two methods are that the engineering faculty is ranked 1 (one), meaning that the best choice for majors based on the criteria compiled is the engineering faculty with a choice of two majors, namely architecture and electrical engineering.

Abstract

Therefore, this research aimed to describe EFL teachers’ professional competence in terms of developing learning material, developing professionalism, and utilizing ICT media, as well EFL teachers’ social competence in terms of being inclusive and objectively and communicating effectively in English online teaching. This research applied a qualitative descriptive as the research design. In collecting the data, the researcher applied observation, interview, and documentation. The data was then processed by using the technique of data analysis based on Miles and Huberman involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that EFL teachers’ professional competence in developing learning material indicated two categories; semi-material development, and non-material development. Then, EFL teachers’ professional competence in developing professionalism continuously indicated that the teachers did self-evaluation, and did self-improvement. In utilizing ICT media, the results indicated that the EFL teachers used mono-ICT media and multi-ICT medias in teaching online. Meanwhile, the results for EFL teachers’ social competence indicated that EFL teachers implemented inclusively and objectively as well communicating effectively with the students during teaching online.

Abstract

In 2020 Indonesia implemented a new normal policy as a form of adaptation to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the new normal period, XYZ university uses e-learning as one of the distance learning media to deliver learning materials to students. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect student satisfaction in using e-learning. The End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model is used as a research model. The data was taken through the dissemination of questionnaires using google from 249 respondents consisting of students from three study programs. From the data obtained, analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results showed that the Content, Ease of Use, and Timeliness variables had a positive and significant effect on User Satisfaction while the Accuracy and Format variables did not have a significant effect on User Satisfaction

Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems being faced by Kotapari Village. The absence of an information system about stunting that is easily accessible to the public is one of the aspects that has slowed down the resolution of the stunting problem. To accelerate the resolution of the stunting problem, it is considered necessary to have an information system that can help the community easily and quickly. Methods of data collection is done by interviews and observation. In this study the system development method used is waterfall with the supporting software used are PHP and MySQL. Seeing the reality above, it is deemed necessary to build a website-based information system that is useful to facilitate Kotapari Village and the Community in working to resolve the stunting problem in Serdang Bedagai Regency. Apart from being able to provide stunting information to the community, this application also has a child health check menu related to child growth and a discussion menu that can be used by the community to communicate with Kotapari Village.

Abstract

Advances in data and communication technology are growing rapidly. Especially in terms of data, data plays an important role in life. In this modern era, data is carried by a technology called the internet. In this case, the internet makes it easy to provide data about job vacancies, one of which is job vacancy websites. Without data it will be very difficult to get something you want, like getting a job. Profession is a matter that is very important for the survival of some people, therefore many people have difficulty getting data on a profession, but there are also people who have an industry who also have difficulty getting employees quickly and with the skills that match the required aspects. To overcome this problem, a website-based job vacancy application arrangement was created called a web search program, using the waterfall method, made using the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. With this application, it is hoped that it will make it easier for applicants to find data on job vacancies and make it easier for an industry that is looking for employees quickly and with the right skills.

Abstract

With the development of information technology, we are required to be able to keep up with technological developments. At this time, there is still a conventional car rental information system. This causes the information that can be obtained by the public about this car rental is still minimal. So it is necessary to have information that can be accessed widely by the public so that people can easily get information about car rentals without having to come directly to the rental place. Apart from that, it provides benefits for car rental owners in the process of recording reports, no longer needing to use a conventional system that must record every transaction. So that there is an information system development for the car rental. The method of developing software using the waterfall model. With the design of this car rental information system, it is hoped that it can help speed up and simplify car rental so that the rental process becomes more effective and efficient and helps the admin in making reports. The web application can also be a means of assisting companies or agencies in improving the performance of car rental vehicles.

Abstract

Cooking is the process of processing food ingredients and seasonings to be used as a variety of dishes. Cooking can be done by anyone. When cooking, recipes are needed as a reference to process food ingredients into a dish. A recipe in the modern sense is defined as a set of instructions that tell how to prepare and cook food, including a list of what foods are needed . Yogyakarta has a variety of culinary delights. With the passage of time, Yogyakarta's specialties are displaced by foreign food entering Yogyakarta. The Recipe application contains a variety of recipes for typical Yogyakarta food. This research aims to help the community in making Indonesian culinary food, especially the Yogyakarta food menu. The application is created web-based using PHP programming language and mysql database. For the software development method, which is carried out is using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall method. The first stage carried out is planning, design stages, implementation and trials. Based on the test results using a black box, the system created has functional features according to what is expected. The system features login, Manage recipe data, Manage category data and Manage comment data.
