Abstract

The author tried to create a learning model reading comprehension in English text by using scanning methods and skimming. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the reading comprehension learning model in English texts using scanning and skimming methods in the STOK Bina Guna PJKR Study Program. The benefits of this research are to determine the effect of the learning model and improve students' ability in reading comprehension, especially with English texts, so that students can apply both methods when trying to get information from English texts quickly. This research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in a cyclical assessment process through two cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Observations was made by observers in this study concluded that student behavior during reading comprehension learning with scanning and skimming techniques in cycle II could be said to be good. However, there are some students who still behave badly during the lesson. From the results of observations, there were 34 students who behaved well during the lesson, while 3 students who did not behaved well. Of the three students, as many as 2 students often turn off the camera during the test. Meanwhile, there are no more students who have bad habits in reading. Based on the results of these observations, student behavior during reading comprehension learning was good and there was an improvement.

Abstract

Chemistry is a compulsory subject in high school, especially in the natural sciences department. In chemistry lessons, there are several sub-topics, one of which is the periodic system of electron configurations. Electron configuration relates to several other sub-topics. So that the electron configuration has an important role in the study of chemistry. The location of an element in the periodic table can be determined by determining the electron configuration of the element. So that the application of technology in helping students to understand electron configuration is needed. Intelligent computer assisted instruction is the application of artificial intelligence in the field of education that can be used to create more effective learning and can increase the willingness to learn and increase student motivation to learn. So it is necessary to make an application for learning the electron configuration of chemical elements. The resulting application has several learning support features, namely material, evaluation, discussion, and glossary. This application is built using the Fisher Yates Shuffle algorithm for randomization of numbers which is applied to practice questions. The application can run well on android devices version 4.4 or the latest version. Applications can measure students' mastery of learning materials more accurately. From the test results obtained 86% of respondents gave a positive response to the application that was built. Likewise, 60% of respondents expect further development. Either on the same material or on other chemistry materials to make learning more interesting and fun.

Abstract

The strategy of increasing the salt business in the development of the marine (coastal) economy is very significant in boosting the productivity of the salt. The business of salt that located on Coastal has very good prospects in the future because it is supported by a lot of potential for vacant land, climate, human resources, market opportunities and abundant raw materials for the manufacture of people's salt. Socio-economic potential is the basic capital in the development of salt production in North Aceh Regency, especially Aceh Province. The current issue for most salt farmers is that the quality of salt is still low which is caused by the existing access to capital by farmers, other problems, lack of capital is one of the causes of the decline in salt productivity so that the salt produced is not in accordance with market demand.Salt farmers experienced the impact of a decrease in the productivity of business capital, which became an obstacle for the investor of capital. This can be resolved by the financier. Then the bank can provide funds to salt farmers according to their needs. Therefore, the importance of research in implementing a banking strategy in increasing the productivity of salt farmers in accordance with the business of the farmer group. It is very important to analyze the productivity of salt farmers after being given capital to assess the success of the capital provided to salt farmers. This research method begins with a survey of strategic information in providing business capital for salt farmers which is useful in increasing the productivity of salt farmers. The results of the analysis are entered into the K-Nearest Neighbor classification model in the feasibility of providing capital using a classification in order to see groups of productive salt farmers after being given capital. The results of the test with the k-means clustering model are in the form of group 2 classification values with a distance value of 0.210 based on the criteria included in the strategy for providing business capital.

Abstract

Advances in human thinking patterns make people realize that information technology is an important part of civilization. In line with the development of information technology, many parties are not responsible for committing crimes such as theft and falsification of information from data. These problems can be overcome using a variety of methods and techniques, one of which is steganography. Steganography is a technique of hiding confidential data in a digital (media) container so that the existence of the secret data is difficult to know by irresponsible people or parties. The purpose of this study is to provide a solution to the problem of hiding messages into images using two different steganographic methods, namely LSB and DCT, then both methods will be tested for their efficiency. In this study, it was concluded that the PSNR value for LSB steganography was 8.887, and the MSE value was 104.85. On the other hand, DCT Steganography got a PSNR of 83,728, and an MSE value of 0.0592. From the PSNR and MSE test results, it can be concluded that the better image quality comes from DCT Steganography, this is because, in processing DCT images, the author must convert the images first, then can encode, but this conversion is not done on the LSB method.

Abstract

During the covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia until the new normal period, consumer demand for a vitamin drug was fast and unpredictable, thus making pharmacies must be able to plan the optimal supply of vitamin drugs based on the graph of public demand during the pandemic and new normal. This means that the pharmacy does not experience a shortage of stock or excess stock. Therefore, all systems that can predict sales of vitamin drugs are needed during the new normal pandemic. To be able to make predictions, an appropriate method is needed to get accurate results. One of them is the Random Forest method. With Random Forest, the data is predicted based on attribute data so as to produce a conclusion about the value of the desired attribute. Based on this study, 200 sales data of vitamin drugs were taken during the pandemic and new normal with categories of vitamin B complex drugs, vitamins C, D, E, K and Multivitamins and the attributes used were vitamin brand, category, sales conditions, price and sales category. and doesn't work. The test results from this study, it was found that the prediction of vitamin drug sales during the new normal pandemic using the Random Forest method obtained 100% accuracy for testing data with a composition of 80:20, 70:30 and 60:40, so that vitamin drugs would still be sold in new normal.

Abstract

PT. Cahaya Bintang Medan is a distributor of Richiwa brand furniture. The problems of the purchasing decisions were that the products price were more expensive than similar products from well-known brands, lack of marketing knowledge about the product advantages offered, and the consumers doubted the product quality. The research method used was the quantitative descriptive, the nature of research was the explanatory research. The research population is 192 respondents, by using the Slovin formula, the research sample obtained of 130 respondents, while 30 respondents for testing the validity and reliability with simple random sampling. The analysis method was multiple linear regression with classical assumption testing. The conclusion obtained from this research showed that the effect of brand image, price and product quality simultaneously has a positive effect on purchasing decisions. Partially the brand image of tcount 0.587<ttable 1,65694 and Sig. 0.558>0.05, the price of tcount 1.185<ttable 1.65694 and Sig. 0.238>0.05, the product quality of tcount 2.591>ttable 1.65694 and Sig. 0.011<0.05. The results of determination coefficient test Adjusted R Square of 45%, it means that the purchasing decisions can be explained by the brand image, price and product quality, while the remaining 55% are other factors not examined by researchers.
