Abstract

Abstract Lifelong education has not yet been systematically formulated within the Islamic perspective based on the Qur’an and Hadith, and is therefore still narrowly understood as formal education. This study aims to analyze the conceptual construction of lifelong education from the perspective of Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir) and educational (tarbawi) hadith, as well as to explain its relevance for the development of contemporary Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were collected through documentation of Qur’anic verses, tarbawi hadith, classical tafsir works, and Islamic education literature, and were analyzed using content analysis techniques through stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that lifelong education in Islam constitutes an integral theological principle encompassing intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social dimensions. This concept positions learning as a continuous obligation, a means of self-purification, and an instrument of civilizational transformation. Consequently, Islamic education needs to reorient its learning paradigm toward strengthening a culture of lifelong learning through integrative curricula, reflective methods, and the development of literacy ecosystems within families, schools, and society.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of parenting patterns on ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption and nutritional quality in Generation Alpha children aged 7-15 years from an Islamic and health perspective. An explanatory quantitative approach with purposive sampling was used, collecting data from 100 parent respondents in Bandung City via a Likert scale questionnaire analyzed with IBM SPSS version 26. Validity testing produced 19 of 20 valid items. Reliability testing showed Cronbach's Alpha > 0.70 for all variables. Normality testing (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) showed non-normal distribution (Sig. < 0.05), so Spearman correlation was employed. Results showed parenting had a significant negative effect on UPF consumption (r = -0.465, p < 0.001) and a significant positive effect on nutritional quality (r = 0.711, p < 0.001). Discussion integrates Kohlberg's moral development theory and Ulwan's Tarbiyatul Aulad fi al-Islam framework, affirming that positive parenting grounded in modeling, habituation, and supervision effectively reduces UPF consumption while improving nutritional quality in line with halal-thayyib principles.

Abstract

The digital era presents challenges for Muslim families in harmonizing Islamic values with children's gadget use. This study aims to develop an Islamic digital parenting model based on empirical strategies and tri-relational communication (parent–child, child–child, nuclear–extended family) to strengthen children's Qur'anic character. This qualitative study employed an instrumental case study design involving five parents of students at SD Al-Qur'an Ar Raudhah, Lhokseumawe, selected purposively. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with source triangulation. Five main strategies were identified: integration of worship as gadget boundaries, parental control and digital agreements, gadgets as rewards for Qur'anic memorization, exclusive Islamic content, and daily viewing history reporting. The art of tri-relational communication includes qaulan layyinan (gentle speech), sibling deliberation, evening sharing sessions, and extended family activities such as mobile recitations. This study produces the IMAN-TRI model (Integration of Worship, Active Mediation, Tri-relational Advice) which combines parental mediation theory with Islamic communication values and extended family involvement. Unlike conventional approaches, this model emphasizes collective spiritual internalization. The IMAN-TRI model can guide Muslim parents, Islamic religious teachers, and school administrators. The study recommends wider-scale model testing using a pretest-posttest design.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze fiscal policy from Al-Mawardi's perspective in the book Al-Ahkam Al-Sulthaniyah. Using a library research method and qualitative analysis, this study demonstrates that Al-Mawardi's ideas do not merely classify authority income posts such as zakat (alms), kharaj (land tax), jizyah (poll tax), ghanimah (spoils of war), or temporary tax instruments (dharibah). Beyond that, he emphasizes the principles of balance, propriety, and public welfare as the foundation of public cash management. These findings indicate that the moral dimension in Al-Mawardi's thesis is highly contextual for implementation into today's modern financial structures, particularly regarding budget information transparency, strengthening safety nets for marginalized groups, and responsibility in managing community funds. In his thought, state revenue sources include zakat, kharaj, jizyah, fai’ (spoils acquired without fighting), and ghanimah, which are managed through the baitul mal institution. In its distribution, the state bears the responsibility to meet public needs, maintain security, finance government administration, and assist vulnerable groups. The fiscal concept offered by Al-Mawardi emphasizes not only administrative aspects but also the moral and ethical dimensions of governance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze contemporary economic interpretation approaches in understanding the economic verses of the Koran contextually and applicatively. The research uses qualitative methods with the type of library research through a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i) combined with contextual analysis of modern economic dynamics. The research results show that contemporary economic interpretation is an integrative approach that connects the values of the Al-Qur'an with modern economic realities through a combination of the maudhu'i method and the adabi ijtima'i style. This approach produces an understanding of economic verses that is more systematic, contextual, and relevant to modern economic problems. This research also shows that the economic verses of the Koran contain the main principles of justice (al-'adl), balance (tawazun), and social responsibility (mas'uliyyah) as the basis for building a just and sustainable Islamic economic system. Thus, contemporary economic interpretation not only functions as an interpretive method, but also as an epistemological framework in the development of modern Islamic economics

Abstract

Startup developments have driven the rise of modern financing models such as venture capital through milestone-based funding mechanisms. While this staged scheme effectively mitigates investment uncertainty, it raises concerns regarding unfair risk distribution (risk shifting). Investors retain the flexibility to halt funding when targets are missed, whereas entrepreneurs bear the loss of expended resources. This study aims to analyze risk distribution in milestone-based funding and evaluate its alignment with Abu Hanifah’s thought on contractual justice. Using a qualitative-descriptive method, the findings reveal that although this scheme enhances financing efficiency, its implementation does not fully align with Abu Hanifah’s principle of al-ghunm bi al-ghurm (the balance of return and risk), as it tends to shift the risk burden unilaterally. Consequently, this study proposes a financing model reconstruction by restricting unilateral termination, implementing shared downside risk, and integrating musyarakah principles to foster a fairer and more balanced venture capital ecosystem.

Abstract

Corruption is a multidimensional problem that causes material losses, moral degradation, and weakened social integrity. This study aims to analyze the internalization of the value of amanah (trustworthiness) through anti-corruption education in strengthening students’ integrity character in schools. This research employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from books, journal articles, educational regulations, and previous studies related to anti-corruption education, character education, and amanah values in Islamic education. Data analysis used descriptive-analytical content analysis. The findings reveal that the internalization of amanah values can be implemented through integrated learning, school culture, teachers’ role modeling, and habituation of honest and responsible behavior. Anti-corruption education based on amanah values contributes significantly to strengthening students’ integrity character as a preventive effort against corruptive behavior from an early age. Therefore, anti-corruption education functions not only as knowledge transfer but also as a process of moral and ethical character formation.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct character-based Islamic education policies in Aceh in response to the challenges of modernity. With the institutional uniqueness of the Dayah Education Office—an institution not found in any other province in Indonesia—Aceh faces a moral crisis and weakening religious identity among the younger generation due to globalization and digitalization. Data show an increase in juvenile delinquency, drug abuse, and social conflict across various regencies and cities in Aceh over the past five years. Using a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review (SLR) method following the PRISMA protocol, this study analyzes 25 journal articles indexed in SINTA and Scopus, as well as policy documents such as the Qanun of Aceh, Law No. 11/2006, and Government Regulation No. 18/2016. The findings reveal a gap between normative policy and the practical implementation of character education, caused by curriculum fragmentation, the suboptimal integration of dayah into the formal education system, weak coordination between the Education Office and the Dayah Education Office, and low adoption of value-based technology. The novelty of this research lies in an integrative policy reconstruction model formulated as: (Qur'anic Values + Local Wisdom + Dayah System) + (Dayah Education Office & Education Office Policies) + (Technology & Innovation) = Adaptive Modern Character Education, positioning the Dayah Education Office as the main integrator. In conclusion, policy reconstruction requires functional harmonization between the Dayah Education Office and the Education Office, as well as a transformation from government toward collaborative good governance.

Abstract

Organizational success is strongly influenced by the quality of the relationship between individuals and the organization. Harmonious relationships can enhance employee commitment, job satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. This study aims to analyze the relationship between individuals and organizations, the concept of Person-Organization Fit (P-O Fit), the exemplary leadership of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in human resource management, and the factors affecting employee retention. The study employs a library research method by reviewing literature related to organizational behavior, human resource management, and Islamic perspectives. The findings reveal that strong relationships between individuals and organizations are formed through psychological contracts and psychological ownership, which contribute to organizational commitment and reduce employee turnover. Furthermore, the concept of Person-Organization Fit helps align individual and organizational values, improving employee performance and organizational effectiveness. From an Islamic perspective, the Prophet Muhammad’s values of shiddiq, amanah, fathanah, and tabligh provide a strong ethical foundation for effective human resource management. In addition, employee retention is influenced by organizational culture, career development opportunities, compensation, job design, and interpersonal relationships within the workplace.
