Abstract

Knowledge sharing terbentuk ketika setiap anggota dalam organisasi saling berbagi pengetahuan secara bersama-sama untuk mengungkapkan pendapat, ide, kritik dan komentar kepada anggota lainnya. Universitas Gunadarma menjadi salah satu perguruan tinggi yang sudah menerapkan pembelajaran kolaborasi cloud meeting dan UGTV selama pandemi Covid-19 sehingga terjadi peningkatan knowledge sharing menggunakan Whatsapp dan Line. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor pendukung knowledge sharing dalam komunitas mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma dengan menggunakan media Whatsapp dan Line grup selama pandemi Covid-19. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), AMOS dan Teori Computer Mediated Communication untuk menganalisis data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert 1-5 kepada mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Gunadarma dan sampel penelitian adalah 741 responden yang terdiri dari laki-laki dan perempuan berusia 18-24 tahun. Teknik sampling menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria mahasiswa Universitas Gunadarma yang rutin melakukan knowledge sharing. Hasil analisis SEM menunjukkan bahwa terjadi interaksi sosial dan ekspektasi hasil memengaruhi knowledge sharing untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya akan  pengetahuan, dan kegunaan komunitas memengaruhi niat berbagi pengetahuan secara terus menerus. Sedangkan interaksi sosial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebermanfaatan mahasiswa dan knowledge sharing tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat berbagi pengetahuan secara berkelanjutan. Pembatasan jarak yang diberlakukan oleh pemerintah sebagai akibat Pandemi Covid-19 menjadikan grup Whatshapp dan grup Line menjadi penting dan berguna dalam mencari dan berbagi ilmu di kalangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Keberagaman bahasa, sedikit-banyaknya, dapat memengaruhi pola komunikasi para penuturnya, khususnya komunikasi interpersonal yang berlatar belakang sosiokultural yang berlainan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis, menjelaskan dan memahami secara rinci pola dan perilaku komunikasi pasangan pernikahan antaretnis (Sunda dan Jawa) yang terjadi secara alamiah di Kabupaten Ciamis, Jawa Barat; pengaruh aktivitas pada proses komunikasi sehari-hari; dan bagaimana relativitas bahasa yang digunakan berfungsi sebagai gaya komunikasi yang konsisten dan standar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif. Kabupaten Ciamis, Provinsi Jawa Barat dijadikan sebagai lokasi penelitian dan sebanyak lima kecamatan dijadikan sebagai lokasi pengamatan. Pengumpuan data menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan melalui introspeksi, wawancara mendalam, dan telaah dokumen. Dalam penelitian ini teknik triangulasi data digunakan untuk menguji stabilitas dan validitas data yang terkumpul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pola komunikasi yang ada pada keluarga pernikahan antaretnis Sunda-Jawa di Kabupaten Ciamis adalah pola penyesuaian searah, pola kompromi titik tengah, pola penyesuaian alternatif, dan pola pencampuran; (2) Problematika linguistis pada perkawinan ataretnis berfokus pada sekelumit keputusan dan kebijakan keluaga berkenaan dengan bahasa apa yang dijadikan sebagai alat komunikasi di dalam keluarga dan bahasa apa yang digunakan dalam membesarkan dan mendidik anak-anaknya. Jika orang tua bersepakat untuk menggunakan satu bahasa dalam membesarkan anak-anaknya, pada sat itu, budaya dari bahasa yang diajarkan juga harus dijelaskan. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang ada pada keluarga pernikahan antaretnis Sunda-Jawa di Kabupaten Ciamis memiliki pola penyesuaian searah, kompromi titik tengah, penyesuaian alternatif, dan pencampuran.

Abstract

Komunikasi pemasaran album “Romansa Ke Masa Depan” merupakan strategi pemasaran digital yang berhasil dengan menghasilkan jumlah digital streaming tinggi dan nominasi tertinggi dalam penghargaan AMI Awards. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana integrated marketing communication pada album “Romansa Ke Masa Depan.” Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif mellaui metode penelitian studi kasus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Integrated Marketing Communication menjadi pendekatan yang dilakukan manajemen dan album ini menjadi album pertama yang dirilis Glenn Fredly dalam format digital. Pesan utama yang disampaikan kepada audiens dalam perilisan album diimplementasikan dengan beragam media, seperti desain sampul album, video musik, narasi yang digunakan dalam perilisan album, dan beragam pesan lain yang ditampilkan secara implisit atau eksplisit. Bumi Entertainment sebagai manajemen dan Musik bagus sebagai label yang terintegrasi dengan baik telah menjalankan fungsinya masing-masing dalam perilisan album serta dengan pihak eksternal. Terintegrasinya platform dan konten membantu manajemen dalam menjalankan consumer IMC secara digital. Platform Instagram digunakan untuk mempersuasi audiens untuk kemudian mengakses konten utama dari album yang terdapat di digital streaming platform dan kanal YouTube. Perilisan album “Romansa Ke Masa Depan” terintegrasi dengan baik dan membantu manajemen mendapatkan jumlah digital streaming yang tinggi serta album mendapatkan nominasi dan penghargaan dari AMI Awards dan Piala Citra. Integrated Marketing Communication merupakan konsep yang tepat guna untuk diterapkan pada industri musik yang kini berada pada era digitalisasi.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang pengalaman komunikasi mahasiswi bercadar dalam menghadapi stigma masyarakat. Menjadi bagian dari warga negara Indonesia dengan penduduk yang mayoritas beragama Islam, namun ternyata tidak serta merta membuat cadar menjadi paham yang meluas tanpa adanya stigma dari masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui dan memahami motif mahasiswi bercadar dalam menggunakan cadar, makna cadar bagi mahasiswi bercadar, dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mahasiswi bercadar mengatasi stigma masyarakat. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi dengan subjek penelitian yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 7 orang. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif mahasiswi bercadar terbagi atas dua tahapan. Pertama ialah alasan menggunakan cadar karena trauma, mengikuti tren, sering mengikuti kajian, dan karena pergaulan. Kedua ialah harapan menggunakan cadar yang terbagi atas enam kategori, yaitu harapan terhadap orang tua, sahabat, jodoh, pekerjaan, lingkungan sekitar, dan akhirat. Variasi makna cadar bagi mahasiswi bercadar ialah sebagai pengingat, pembatas, pelindung, dan sebagai media untuk menundukkan pandangan laki-laki. Dalam mengatasi stigma masyarakat mahasiswi bercadar melakukan lima bentuk penyelesaian yaitu, memberikan penjelasan, membiarkan masyarakat, melepas cadar di tempat tertentu, mengganti cadar dengan masker, dan membuktikan dengan berakhlak baik.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has impacts on disabilities. The private sector can help empower them through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). SIRCLO is one company that initiated CSR with Difalink through the #BelajarBarengMentor Program. During the implementation, several problems were faced by SIRCLO and Difalink, even though the proper implementation of CSR can benefit the company. This study aims to determine (1) How the Plan, (2) How the Implementation, (3) How the Checking, and (4) How the Evaluation in the Implementation Management of CSR in the #BelajarBarengMentor Program with analysis using the Hohnen CSR implementation model (Plan, Do, Check, and Improve). The method used is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The validity of this research uses source triangulation. The study's results revealed similarities with the Hohnen model. On (1) Planning, assessment, and strategy development were initiated, but the research needed more depth and detail. On (2) Implementation, focus on program development and execution, but there are some technical problems and exposures. On (3) Checking; it had not been conducted effectively, and on (4) Evaluation; there are several evaluations and suggestions, such as the need for solid planning and a dedicated team. The suggestions given are (1) Planning; conducting in-depth research, (2) Implementation; making alternative implementation options based on research, (3) Checking; conducting the monitoring according to the concept of CSR, and (4) Evaluation; conducting solid planning and create a dedicated team for sustainable plans.

Abstract

The presence of social media has encouraged the merger of online communication between the government and the community. This phenomenon provides an opportunity for researchers to simultaneously understand the process of government communication online and offline by using an interpretive case study approach. This study aims to demonstrate the use of a qualitative interpretive case study approach to explain the effectiveness of local government communication with local business people in the online context regarding implementing the e-tendering system. This study used a qualitative interpretive method. We conducted both offline and online research to compare the consistency of the data in our study. Using the case study of government and contractors' communication in implementing e-tendering in a regency in South Sulawesi, we gathered data through face-to-face interviews and observed online communication on social media. This study's results indicate an inconsistency in government communication between the online and offline contexts regarding the perception of e-tendering issues. Our findings can be used to increase our understanding of the government's communication strategy with local business people in an online and offline context. Our study also shows that using new media in qualitative interpretive studies can reduce challenges in participant recruitment and access to research sites. However, our study faced challenges on ethical issues regarding communication material shared on social media. Future studies should focus on how ethical issues can be reduced.

Abstract

The emergence of sport sociology related to sport and communication spurred a gradual entry into academic research. This study uses bibliometric analysis of bibliographic coupling, a phenomenon that occurs when two texts quote the same source. The purpose of this study is to explore publishing trends using the unit of analysis bibliographical coupling on organizational communication in sports. The results indicated that 419 publications had been indexed in the Scopus database between 1981 and 2022. Articles were the most common document published in the database, accumulating 265 papers. Social Sciences is the most significant subject area, with 214 records. A paper written by Winand et al. in 2019 entitled “International sports federations’ social media communication: A content analysis of FIFA’s Twitter account” has become a document that obtained more citations accruing a total strength of 91. Notably, this analysis alludes that the International Journal of Sport Communication has become the most multiple credentials, with 240 citations. Two scholars, Anagnostopoulos, C. and Chadwick, S., were credited as successful authors. Griffith University, from Australia, advanced 67 citations. The United States became the leading country with total link strength of 3876. It can be concluded that research on this topic is expanding due to the empowerment of research methodologies and the development of new research contributions in the form of new avenues. Researchers and practitioners can increase future understanding in this field by thoroughly examining sports communication in numerous research areas.

Abstract

Extensive cultural exchanges between ethnicities in the global environment are inevitable, Indonesia included, especially in Educational Institutions. This study aims to evaluate the cross-cultural interaction between Indonesian and International students who enrolled in the same academic environment at Universitas Padjadjaran. It examines cultural distinctions between Indonesian and International students, lecturers, and academic staff. A qualitative approach with case-study methods on cross-cultural communication between Indonesian and International students at Universitas Padjadjaran is applied in this study. The data is collected through interviews with 26 participants, 13 international students of KNB Scholarship 2021, 10 Indonesian students studying at different faculties, and three academic staff at Universitas Padjadjaran. This paper discovered several cultural elements, which are languages, fashion, and cuisine variations, that lead to the development of the international students learning process. In the first year, international students struggle with the cultural gap during their studies. However, they dealt with communication issues through several methods and strategies for an international student to adjust to local culture from the culture shock they experienced at the beginning of their academic journey.

Abstract

This study analyzes the shift in the science communication landscape, which is starting to be influenced by the presence of influencers on social media. Influencers who influence to construct audience opinions allow the birth of different interpretations of scientific information among the audience, especially the lay audience. These can be seen in the discussion about wildlife care tweeted by veterinarian Nur Purba Priambada who criticized influencer Alshad Ahmad. The reaction to Purbo's tweet shows that not all audiences agree with the scientific information shared by Purbo, even though Purbo has a scientific background. On the other side, some audiences support the influencer Alshad Ahmad who keeps the wildlife on his own. This study uses the netnographic method. This study aims to examines how science communication that takes place on social media affects audience reactions to scientific information shared by scientists and influencers, in this case, Purbo and Alshad Ahmad. The study result shows that the audience does not necessarily believe the information shared by people with scientific backgrounds in a scientific discussion on social media. Although some audiences believe the scientists' scientific information, other audiences trust the influencer more. This finding can be a consideration for scientists to develop an effective communication style on social media regarding scientific information to audiences, especially lay audiences.

Abstract

Professional development must be carried out to increase the value of quality and the professional welfare of functional workers in government institutions. Professional development efforts can be made by writing published scientific papers (KTI). The existence of scientific work becomes essential and is a prerequisite for those who want to improve the hierarchy of ranks and positions in government institutions. Scientific works published in scientific journals on behalf of individuals and groups that discuss social and public relations phenomena can be used as the performance standards barometer for government public relations functional employees to get income incentives. This study aims to identify and explain the instructional communication strategies and motivations of the Iprahumas Training participants in writing scientific papers. The research method used is the form of a survey in the form of a census of all participants of the training in writing scientific papers, namely the public relations institutions who are members of the Indonesian Public Relations Official Association (Iprahumas). The data collection technique was carried out by giving questionnaires to the participants, which were equipped with observation guidelines, interviews, and literature studies. Research shows that the motivation of Iprahumas scientific papers writing training participants is still low, namely 71.4% are unable to write scientific papers. That is because participants have limited knowledge and experience writing scientific papers in scientific journals. The participants tried to be able to implement communication strategies in the form of continuous technical guidance regularly with mentors through the WhatsApp social media group. The study's conclusion showed that the participants' understanding of scientific writing through scientific writing training was still low, which had implications for the participants' motivation to decrease. Only a few participants prepared the type of scientific article writing during the scientific writing workshop.
