Abstract

The main duty of Satpol PP (The Municipal Police - Civil Service Police Unit) is to regulate and maintain the security of the community, but in reality municipal police organization holds its bad image toward the community, this bad image is more attached to the municipal police officers themselves. On this basis, the study aims to describe the patterns of communication within the body of Satpol PP organizations, particularly in Central Jakarta. This is because of Central Jakarta is one of the strategic area for street vendors to sell their goods. Moreover, the location is near from National Monument as a center of tourism destination for local or foreign tourists. The formulation of research problems is how the communication patterns of Satpol PP organizations in curbing the cadger in Central Jakarta. The research applies the organizational communication theory of Human Relations School, and includes the concept of organizational communication patterns such as message flow in the organization, communication network, organizational communication atmosphere and organizational leadership patterns. The method of research used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The results show that the Satpol PP organization in DKI Jakarta (central Jakarta) style has persuasive and informative communication, the message flow is in one direction and in both directions between the leaders and the officers of the Satpol PP, more formal communication networks, and the leadership pattern is democratic. Based on the theory of human relations school, the communication between the leaders and the officers of Satpol PP is more humane approach based persuasive communication and interpersonal communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to know the content of verbal symbols of three cultures on impression the ‘’Laki-laki Lasut’’  in Trans TV. The theory used was content analysis. This research method is a method of content analysis with quantitative approach. Research object is the ‘’Laki-laki Lasut’’  in Trans TV, September 2011 period. Sampling technique is random and selected 10 impressions. This type of verbal symbols of culture on impression ‘’Laki-laki Lasut’’, September 2011 period is divided into three categorization, namely the use of language, accent and intonation. The results show that most Balinese culture dominates the ‘’Laki-laki Lasut’’ in Trans TV that is 44.4%. Where the accent is 19%, using the language pronunciation is 14.3% and intonation is 9.7%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to describe integrated marketing communication strategy Bandung Makuta Cake with the guidance of IMC Model belongs to Adji Watono and Maya Watono (2011: 34-35) that consisting of discovery circle, intent circle, and strategy circle which formulates the basic principles that are key factors of strategic success in a comprehensive and systematic model. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with post positivistic paradigm. Data collected through in-depth interviews with Top Marketing Manager Bandung Makuta Cake. The results of this research that the analysis on discovery circle can be done by involving the research agency so that the information obtained will be more detailed, and in analyzing the intent circle needs to pay attention to the brand development in the community both positive and negative issues so that it can become brand development. Then in making strategy circle, see the results of the analysis of the two previous stages that have been done and integrate the elements that exist in it to be applied to some marketing communication mix.Keywords: Integrated Marketing Communication Strategy, Bandung Makuta Cake, discovery cirlce, intent circle, strategy circle.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu Bandung Makuta Cake dengan suatu pedoman Model IMC milik Adji Watono dan Maya Watono (2011: 34–35) yaitu terdiri dari discovery circle, intent circle, dan strategy circle yang merumuskan prinsip-prinsip dasar yang menjadi faktor kunci kesuksesan strategi dalam sebuah model yang komprehensif dan sistematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan paradigma post-positivistik. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam bersama Top Marketing Manager Bandung Makuta Cake. Hasil dalam penelitian ini bahwa analisis pada discovery circle dapat dilakukan dengan melibatkan research agency sehingga informasi yang didapatkan akan lebih detail, dan dalam menganalisis intent circle perlu memperhatikan perkembangan merek di masyarakat baik isu positif maupun isu negatif sehingga dapat menjadi pengembangan merek. Kemudian dalam pembuatan strategy circle, melihat hasil analisis dari kedua tahapan sebelumnya yang telah dilakukan serta mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen yang ada didalamnnya untuk diaplikasikan pada beberapa bauran komunikasi pemasaran.Kata kunci: Strategi Komunikasi Pemasaran Terpadu, Bandung Makuta Cake, Discovery cirlce, Intent circle, Strategy circle

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of creation of the Hafiz program is to provide alternative displays for children. HafizIndonesia's television program features talented children in memorizing the Qur'an without anyscenarios or scripts. So the participants present themselves on the television screen as it is. Thepurpose of this research is to know the Planning Programming strategy and PackagingProgram of Hafiz Indonesia 2015 in RCTI, in order to get high share rating. This researchmethod is using qualitative and descriptive. The theory used is Fred Wibowo’s productionconcept. The results of programming strategy in production concept are (1) RCTI is strippingstrategy on big audience and checker boarding strategy when the number of audience isdecreasing, but RCTI also uses the strategy of tent poling to introduce new program. (2) Theplanning process of Hafiz Indonesia program is carried out in a mutual way, not only by theprogramming division, but starting from the analyst program. They are consisting ofprogramming divisions and other people who are members of the program committee. (3) Preproductionactivities will be aired and begun by casting ideas or ideas into an outlinecontaining an event's program. The selected resource is the person who has the credibility andknows exactly about the topic to be discussed. Theoretically, the result of this research isexpected to give a constrictive contribution to the development and assessment ofcommunication science generally and practically, it is expected to be input for interestedparties, either institution or company about "Hafiz Indonesia 2015" program and give a newcolor or inspiring to Indonesian children in this event program.Keywords : Strategy Programming, Hafiz Indonesia, RCTI, Planning, Rating Share.ABSTRAKPenciptaan Program Hafiz bertujuan untuk memberikan tayangan alternatif bagi anak – anak.Program televisi Hafiz Indonesia menampilkan anak - anak muda berbakat dalam menghafalAl-Quran tanpa ada skenario atau naskah. Jadi para peserta menampilkan dirinya di layartelevisi dengan apa adanya. Tujuan Penelitian ini mengetahui secara mendalam StrategiPrograming Pengemasan Program Acara Hafiz Indonesia 2015 di Rajawali Citra TelevisiIndonesia guna memperoleh rating share tinggi. Metode penelitian ini dengan menggunakankualitatif, Deskriptif teori yang di gunakan yaitu Konsep Produksi Fred Wibowo. HasilPenelitiannya Strategi Programming Konsep Produksi yaitu : (1). RCTI yaitu strategi stripping pada saat jumlah audiensbesar dan strategi checker boarding pada saat jumlahaudiens mengalami penurunan, namun RCTI juga menggunakan strategi tentpolinguntukmemperkenalkan program barunya (2). Proses perencanaan program Hafiz Indonesiadilakukan secara bergotong royong tidak hanya oleh divisi programming saja, dimulai dariprogram analyst. Mereka terdiri dari divisi programming dan orang-orang lainnya yangtergabung dalam komite program. (3). Kegiatan pra produksi akan ditayangkan dan dimulaidengan penuangan ide atau gagasan ke dalam outline yang berisikan gambaran program suatuacara. Narasumber yang dipilih adalah orang yang memiliki kredibilitas dan mengetahuidengan pasti mengenai topik yang akan dibahas. Secara teoritis hasil penelitian ini diharapkandapat memberikan kontribusi yang konstruktif bagi pengembangan dan pengkajian ilmukomunikasi umumnya dan secara praktis ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan masukan bagipihak-pihak yang berkepentingan, baik lembaga atau perusahaan mengenai Program Acara“Hafiz Indonesia 2015” dan memberikan warna yang baru atau memberi inspirasi kepadaanak-anak Indonesia dalam program acara.Kata Kunci : Strategi Programming, Hafiz Indonesia, Perencanaan, RCTI, RatingShare.

Abstract

Media literacy is always related to media education. The problem is why is media to perform literacy? It is because our society is heterogeneous; in terms of their ethnicity, religion, infrastructure, education, knowledge, professional background, geography and other factors. This diversity indicator results also in differences of social perspective in grasping each content of media (Potter, 2001). The printing culture drives out the society’s competence to have contact with outside of both their selfness and their collective selfness. It might be helpful as outside information that can be used to repair the life order and structure. Unfortunately, although the importance of cultural literacy is in a consideration, the level of literacy competence of our society is still low. The society is in favor of information being read. The phenomenon in Ignas Kleden’s term is so-called as the secondary orality. Values and norms of local cultures within society can be utilized as the principle guidance for them to access information from new (foreign) media. We should put efforts on how our local wisdom functions as the community filter for media contents. Research and Development Division of Kompas (2011) reports culture is one of the devices through which we can develop a media literate society. This implementation is found in the Samin community at Pati Central Java, through their solid local doctrines they are successful to defend themselves not to imitate behaviors that they are in contact with.

Abstract

  Research Purpose, to know is there any significant correlation between media social and brand awareness of Logbook application. Research Method, this research was conducted with quantitative methods where research was allowed to use closed questionnaire for data gathering, sample of this research focused on Community of Indonesia Backpacker Jabodetabek Region). The Analysis of this research is using Pearson Correlation to the result of correlation between social media with brand awareness .Result, according to the analysis, social media and brand awareness has significant relations the amount is 65,90%. Conclution, social media has a strong correlation with brand awareness, through this research we expected the social media of Logbook application will be able to build a better relationship with the audience. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe 30th September Movement (G30S) in 1965 is one of the important milestones of Indonesian political history. Historiography shows that the testimony of the G30S executor acknowledged that what they did was meant to precede the Council of Generals that plan to coup d'etat against President Soekarno. After more than five decades, it is important to know how new media (especially news website) pass on the memory of this Council of Generals especially for the new generation in Indonesia. The objective is to reveal, 1) the Council of Generals and the position of the Indonesia Communist Party or PKI in the G30S narration on the Indonesian news website, and 2) the argument used in the framing both the issues: Council of Generals and PKI. The study was conducted on three main news sites in Indonesia (Detik.com, Tribunnews.com, Liputan6.com) using framing analysis method to probe news from September to October 2017. This study found that the news about the Council of Generals was not presented in a way that meets the standard of rationality narrative as required by Walter Fisher's Narrative Paradigm theory. Nevertheless, the depiction of the Council of Generals and its members in the patriot/hero category was confirmed in the framing of the major Indonesian news sites. The PKI (still) remained positioned as a mastermind of G30S. Media does not provide any other version that can open the public's insight to better understand this incident. The tendency to report the moment of kidnapping and murder of the generals give emphasis more to the dramatic value than political aspect of the events. The media tend to present the Council of Generals and G30S as an issue of human interest rather than the significance of this tragedy in Indonesian history.Keywords: Council of Generals, 30th September movement, journalism, narrative ABSTRAKGerakan 30 September (G30S) 1965 merupakan salah satu tonggak penting sejarah politik Indonesia. Historiografi menunjukkan bahwa kesaksian eksekutor G30S mengakui bahwa apa yang mereka lakukan dimaksudkan untuk mendahului rencana Dewan Jenderal yang disinyalir akan melakukan kudeta kepada Presiden Soekarno. Setelah lebih dari lima dekade, menjadi penting untuk mengetahui cara media baru (khususnya situs berita) mewariskan memori terkait Dewan Jenderal ini kepada generasi baru di Indonesia. Tujuannya untuk mengungkap, 1) perihal Dewan Jenderal dan posisi Partai Komunis Indonesia atau PKI dalam narasi G30S di situs berita Indonesia; dan 2) argumentasi yang digunakan dalam pembingkaian keduanya: Dewan Jenderal dan PKI. Penelitian dilakuan pada tiga situs berita utama di Indonesia (Detik.com, Tribunnews.com, Liputan6.com) dengan menggunakan metode analisis framing atas pemberitaan bulan September-Oktober 2017. Studi menemukan bahwa artikel Dewan Jenderal belum tersaji dengan cara yang memenuhi standar rasionalitas narasi sebagaimana disyaratkan teori Paradigma Naratif yang dikemukakan Walter Fisher. Meski demikian, penggambaran Dewan Jenderal dan anggotanya dalam kategori patriot/pahlawan, terkonfirmasi dalam pembingkaian yang dilakukan situs berita utama Indonesia. Dalam konteks G30S, PKI tetap diposisikan sebagai dalang. Media tidak memberikan versi lain yang dapat membuka wawasan publik untuk memahami lebih baik tentang peristiwa ini. Kecenderungan untuk menyajikan momen penculikan dan pembunuhan, menggiring pembingkaian lebih pada aspek dramatis ketimbang politis yang melatarbelakangi keseluruhan peristiwa. Media tampak ingin menghadirkan Dewan Jenderal dan G30S sebagai sebuah isu dan peristiwa yang menonjolkan nilai human interest ketimbang nilai penting peristiwa tersebut dalam sejarah Indonesia.Kata kunci: Dewan Jenderal, G30S, jurnalisme, narasi

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini untuk mengkaji pemaknaan nilai-nilai Bushido pada perempuanJepang dalam Rurouni Kenshin (2012) dan Myu no Anyo Papa ni Ageru (2008). Keduafilm merepresentasikan nilai-nilai Bushido dan kehidupan perempuan Jepang. Makapertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan adalah bagaimana representasi praktik signifikasinilai-nilai Bushido pada perempuan Jepang dalam kedua film tersebut? Penelitimenggunakan semiotika Barthes untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut. Terdapat tujuhtemuan yang dihasilkan, yakni integritas (Gi), pengasih (Jin), keberanian (Yu),penghormatan (Rei), kejujuran (Makoto), martabat (Meiyo) dan kesetiaan (Chungi).

Abstract

This study focuses on the phenomenon of video sharing applications that are currently plaguing the public through one of the smartphone-based applications with the Android and iOS operating systems, Tik Tok. The enthusiasm of the Indonesian people for video sharing applications that use 4G-LTE connectivity is very large. This application allows users or hosts to display video recordings of their users. For celebrities, video sharing applications help them greatly in increasing their popularity in the community. But this application is also vulnerable to being misused by some users to display pornographic nuances, giving rise to many concerns, especially among educators and religious scholars. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies as well as descriptive data analysis techniques, with research informants being the Tik Tok application users and several related parties. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the impact of the use of Tik Tok video sharing application on underage children in the city of Bandung. The results show that the Tik Tok video sharing application has many gaps that pose a danger to underage children. Among them is loose age control for users. By using a telephone number, Gmail or Facebook account, users can already display their video recordings through this application. This provides an opportunity for underage children to watch pornographic nuances in the application. The government through the Ministry of Communication and Information as a policy maker in the ICT field has tried to regulate access to Tik Tok video sharing applications through temporary blocking actions.

Abstract

Competition in the business world today feels increasingly strengthened demandsevery company to always produce the best quality products. For the cosmetic company inIndonesia, the onslaught of import products from Japan, China, United Kingdom, France andthe United States are flooding the market need serious handling so that Indonesian canappreciate their products of their own nation. With the foundation of a corporate culture thatis rooted on the philosophy of Javanese culture, such as : toto, titi, titis, tatag, tetep, tanggap,teguh and trengginas, The leadership on PT. Mustika Ratu Tbk. was able to make and developa good corporate communication. Understanding corporate culture includes efforts toincrease customer satisfaction, working with family and cultural familiarity, respect forintegrity and professionalism is high as well as mutual support and cooperation in achievingthe corporate goal.Using the approach of qualitative and descriptive method, this study seeksto be an interesting article about understanding the implementation of corporate culturebased on the philosophies of Javanese culture. The collection of data obtained through thesource text, such as: books and articles from some of the media on line that is circulating inthe community.
