In its development, the existence of ethnic Indonesians Chinese descent is inseparable from the development of governmental system in the Country. Since the New Order era, the eth-nic members have been playing pivotal role in economic realm. However a significant de-velopment occurred during the era of Abdurrahman Wahid administration that allowed access for Indonesians Chinese to attend school or study in public universities. Since then, educational institutions in Indonesia have been accommodated multiculturalism by recog-nising the existence of various ethnics in Indonesia, although the term of minority for cer-tain ethnics still become problem and inherent identity. Therefore, this research raised the title; Construction meaning of minority in social interaction of Chinese Indonesian students at Universitas Budi Luhur and Universitas Bina Nusantara. The problem formulation in this research is: How purport identity ethnic minority Chinese students in social interaction at the Universitas Budi Luhur and Universitas Bina Nusantara? How does social interac-tion performed by students of Chinese ethnicity at Universitas Budi Luhur and Universitas Bina Nusantara? This study also uses the theory of identity and theory phenomenology by George Herbert Mead. But as a result of this research was the meaning/significance of Indonesian Chinese minority identity is strongly linked with social interaction occurred. The awareness to boldly preserve and display Ethnic's culture and traditions begins in families. This serves as guidelines to determine how to behave and interact within the community of Indonesians Chinese and within university life. Social interaction within the ethnic group is varied depending on religious beliefs, languages, and cultural stereotypes have become distinguishing factors of social interaction process.

Tulisan ini berawal dari persoalan regulasi yang diterbitkan oleh pemerintah dalam hal ini Kementrian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) berkenaan dengan rencana digitalisasi penyiaran di Indonesia, melalui regulasi ini pemerintah berupaya untuk memulai digitalisasi penyiaran di Indonesia. Indonesia telah mulai menyusun rencana untuk melakukan konversi dari penyiaran analog ke digital. Penyusunan rencana ini dimulai sejak awal tahun 2009 sampai dengan akhir tahun 2018. Sebelumnya pada tahun 2008 pemerintah telah melakukan serangkaian kegiatan uji coba yang merupakan hasil kerjasama antara pemerintah dengan Konsorsium Televisi Digital Indonesia (KTDI) yang anggotanya terdiri dari televise swasta nasional yang ada di Indonesia. Pertanyaan yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah : pertama, bagaimanakah motif dan konteks yang melandasi terbitnya regulasi mengenai televisi Digital di Indonesia?. Kedua, apakah regulasi tersebut lebih mencerminkan kepentingan publikAvant Garde | Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi VOL 3 NO.2 Desember 2015 | 238(public-interest). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini ingin memberikan deskripsi atau gambaran tentang fenomena digitalisasi penyiaran di Indonesia dari perspektif kepentingan publik (public interest). Dengan melakukan penelusuran kepustakaan (library research), penelitian ini secara spesifik juga ingin mendeskripsikan sejarah dan perkembangan regulasi di Indonesia, termasuk kepentingan-kepentingan yang melandasi terbitnya regulasi tersebut.Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah cenderung berpihak pada kepentingan kapital dalam menentukan pengelola multipleksing. Kemudian, dari segi kepentingan publik (public interest), regulasi ini juga masih belum mencerminkan upaya pemerintah untuk menempatkan kepentingan publik jauh diatas kepentingan pasar.

Qualification of Public Relations becomes a basic requirement for a company or organization. One of them is through the work of the front office in the banking industry. This study intends to examine the concept of 3B (Brain, beauty and behavior) into a work system based on Public Relations qualifications. with data collection techniques through interviews and observations to customers and front office employees at several banks in Sikka Regency. The results of data analysis carried out related to the implementation of the 3B concept are categorized based on the public relations qualifications namely: 1). Brain (A. ability to communicate ability in communication management based on 2 things, namely, knowledge and skill, b) Ability to Organize: Front officers are able to act as problem solvers in finding strategic solutions to problems related to products and services from banks. 2) Beauty (a. personal integrity, which includes 2 things namely a modest personality, and friendly and dress ethics, which contain aesthetic and ethical values 3) Behavior (a. Ability to get on with people, relationships based on customer satisfaction and providing good service. b. Imagination, insight and understanding of customer characteristics and mastering concepts, implementation in solving each problem responsibly and quickly). From the results of the research conducted, it was found that the front office performance in the banking industry has so far reflected the standard of a public relations officer.

In game design, in addition to having a powerful and interesting gameplay concept, creator should pay attention to the visual aspect embodied in the visual design of the game. Visual aspect is so important to attract user to play it, especially in Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre game. With the support of visual design, users can easily understand and follow the gameplay faster and and surely they can understand the ability of each character with ease. This research tries to study the visual design and characters design of Arena Of Valor game. With visual perception theory and manga matrix theory to gain an understanding of the visual approach and creator considerations in the game visual design. Hopefully this research can be used as the basis reference for further MOBA game development.

Orangtua dalam keluarga adalah dua orang yang menjadi panutan bagi anak-anaknya. Pada orangtua baik ibu atau pun ayah yang menjadi orangtua tunggal merupakan sosok yang menjalankan dua peran di dalam rumah tangga. Anak akan mendapatkan imitasi dari seorang ayah atau seorang ibu sebagai orangtua tunggal. Sehingga akan muncul pengambaran dalam memberikan transformasi nilai kepada anak terutama anak balita. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Menganalisis penggunaan Komunikasi secara verbal dan nonverbal yang di gunakan orangtua tunggal kepada anak Balitanya dalam kegiatan rutin sehari-hari. 2) Menganalisis pola komunikasi orangtua tunggal kepada anak Balita. 3)Avant Garde | Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi VOL 3 NO.2 Desember 2015 | 127Menemukan model komunikasi keluarga orangtua tunggal dalam pengasuhan anak Balita. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam kepada orangtua tunggal yang tinggal di Kelurahan Kaliabang Tengah Bekasi Utara. Wawancara mendalam digunakan untuk mendapatkan data kualitatif. Wawancara dilakukan kepada orangtua tunggal yang dipilih secara Snow Ball. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa orangtua tunggal menggunakan komunikasi verbal yang beragam. Komunikasi verbal lebih mengikuti keadaan anak dan mengusahakan untuk mengikuti anak, dan mengajarkan sikap yang baik dan disiplin. Komunikasi nonverbal lebih ditunjukkan dengan mencontohkan, memeluk saat anak kurang nyaman, dan menuntun saat berjalan. Pola komunikasi secara berurutan dimulai dari perhatian orangtua, dan diikuti oleh rasa sayang untuk menuntun anak dan memberikan pola komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal kepada anaknya. Anak dalam keluarga yang diasuh oleh orangtua tunggal menunjukkan sikap mandiri dan patuh terhadap orangtuanya.

Ulama is one of the opinion leaders in rural areas. Based on Two Step Flow Communication theory, they should be the information disseminator and legitimator for the community. However, is they still conduct that role in this digital era? Can Ulamas provide true information and play a role in counteracting hoaxes circulating through digital media? This study used descriptive methods with interviews as a data collection tool. The research informants were 17 Ulamas, 30-78 years old in Kecamatan Parigi, Kabupaten Pangandaran. The results shows that the majority of Ulamas over 50 years old do not have a smartphone, only a few of them have smartphones and have WhatsApp features as well as Facebook. They are not active in using it and are not at the forefront of knowing the latest issues circulating on social media. Communities in rural areas still make Ulamas as opinion leaders but not on news that develops on social media. Therefore, Ulama still have an important role in confirming hoax circulating on social media but their source of knowledge is not the internet but still guided by the Qur'an and printed holy books. These Ulamas argue that if the truth and benefits are unclear, they may not disseminate a message obtained from the internet. Ulama realize that information technology has developed greatly, but they argue that they do not need to preach about it. The problem of the community around them is the real problem that the solution is also through real discussion and communication.

There are still many differences in the views of the public relations profession, namely as a "handyman" read the news, frontline, photographer, maker of the press conference, reception, to the functions of public relations as a strategic planner in the decision-making body or a part of the dominant coalition. Perceptions of a profession that is contained in an organization, it is significant because it may affect how a person appreciate the work or duties, and qualifications of the professional field. This research was conducted in order to reveal the existence of phenomena that occur on the Public Relations profession in the District Government Pangandaran. The method used in the form of quantitative methods and the types of descriptive survey study. The respondents were selected were government officials working in the district administration Pangandaran with data collection is done by means of the distribution of questionnaires, interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results showed that the apparatus of government in the district of Pangandaran has to perceive / interpret the qualifications Public Relations profession is well on aspects of the ability to communicate, ability to organize, ability to get on with people, and imagination. However, in the aspect of personal integrity there that consider a Public Relations officials do not have to come from public relations education / communication and should not be a woman.

Companies must have their own criteria for their sales agents, start from how tospeak in front of potential customers, personal appearance and knowledge aboutthe products and the company itself. The credibility of sales or marketing agentswill make their companies have a good reputation. Insurance agents also trainedby company to introduce the products until someone willing to buy the productsand become their loyal customer. This research aims to determine whether thereis any significant impact of insurance agent’s credibility to customer’s attitude inbuying a policy. The long-term results of the research can be used ascommunication competence for agents to persuade potential customers, whoprobably initially not interest to buy the products, became a loyal customer. Thisresearch is causal quantitative research. This research used regression analysisto determine the impact of insurance agent’s credibility to customer’s attitude inbuying policy. The data collection techniques used questionnaires that distributedto the respondent. The respondent of this research were people who haveinsurance in the city of Sukabumi, West Java. The sampling technique in thisresearch was purposive sampling. The theory that used in this research wassource credibility. The results of this research indicate that trustworthiness,expertise, and attractiveness of insurance agents have a significant impact tocustomer’s attitude in buying a policy. From the three components, the mostimportant thing is the expertise. The expertise of insurance agent has a highestscore compare with trustworthiness and attractiveness of insurance agent.

Permainan game online saat ini telah menjadi permainan yang digemari banyak orang.Terlebih, dengan adanya teknologi smartphone yang memungkinkan kita untuk terhubungdengan koneksi internet di dalam genggaman setiap saat. Adanya smartphone sebagai mediabaru untuk bermain game online menjadikan tren online game bergeser menjadi mobilegame online. Begitu pula dengan penggunanya, apabila game online didominasi olehpengguna laki-laki, maka berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan oleh video game industryresearch group, EEDAR, pengguna mobile game online didominasi oleh perempuan. Jenispenelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan paradigma konstruktivismeyang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Tujuan penelitian adalahuntuk menggambarkan fenomena sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalahmelalui observasi dan wawancara (in depth interview) terhadap tiga orang mahasiswiUniversitas Telkom pengguna mobile game online LINE PokoPang. Teknik analisis datayang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Miles dan Huberman, dengan aktivitasreduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil wawancara dan observasiyang dilakukan kepada ketiga informan mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa motif yangmelatarbelakangi penggunaan mobile game online LINE PokoPang adalah motif ingin tahu,motif harga diri, dan juga motif kompetensi. Adapun perilaku bermain mobile game onlineLINE PokoPang pada ketiga informan terbentuk dari domain-domain perilaku yaitupengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan. Melalui penelitian ini pun ditemukan fakta bahwa mobilegame online dapat menyebabkan adiksi karena mudah diakses kapan dan dimana saja sertabiasanya dimainkan saat informan memiliki waktu luang maupun saat merasa kesepian.

In early 2017, XYZ brand owners revived its ‘suspended dead’ brand back to the market. The company decide to utilized Social Media as the initial channel to create Brand Awareness. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to describe its implementation and explain the analytical data based on their Social Media performance, also using exploratory methods for more creative in-depth and broad understanding on the issue. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Dual Road approach, which consists of the 'Non-Toll Road' and the 'Toll Road' approach by the XYZ brand resulted in significantly different achievements in the effort to create assumed Brand Awareness.
