Abstract

The outcomes of situation analysis in SMP Negeri Kota Baru Kefamenanu East of Nusa Tenggara is the low achievement of students' mathematics learning outcomes seen from the evaluation results of mathematics subjects in the last four semesters and low learning motivation based on the results of teacher interviews. Therefore, we need an activity that aims to conduct training on math problems for grade 9 students and increase student motivation in learning mathematics. The drill method is a method for giving problems repeatedly. This method is considered relevant to the purpose of community service activities. The stages of community service activities begin with giving a pre-test, giving training on math questions, giving a post-test, and ending with giving a questionnaire regarding student motivation. The result of the community service activity was that there was an increase in students' understanding in working on math problems seen from a comparison of the results of the pre-test (29.05%) and post-test (94.76%) and students were increasingly motivated in learning mathematics refer to the results of the questionnaire. Based on the evidence, it’s crystal clear that service community activity is useful for training students to solve non-routine math problem and motivating students to learn mathematics.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service aims to increase students' literacy in English. The implementation of the English day program at SD IT Tahfiz An-nur, Pangkalan Lesung Village, was carried out as a habituation technique by motivating and familiarizing with language practice. The methods used in implementing the English day program are the lecture method, discussion method, cooperative learning method, and project based. The results show that there is an increase in enthusiasm and students' ability to pronounce words, connect sentences and vocabulary in students. The results of observations using test indicators show an increase in students' ability in English at the elementary school level. The results show a positive response and will make English day activities a continuous routine program at school. Keywords: Motivation, Language practice, English day, Interest in Learning

Abstract

This study displays the performance and concern of KUKERTA (Real Work Class) students from the University of Riau who are involved in literacy and numeracy teaching activities at SDN 33 Bathin Solapan, Sebangar Village. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the results of teaching KUKERTA students who are more modern and up-to-date based on lessons for siwi students at SDN 33 Bathin Solapan. This updated learning activity has an impact on the thinking of elementary school students, as well as evaluates students' experiences in participating in these activities. The method used involved participatory observation, teaching sessions, and structured interviews with students and teachers as well as grade 4 and 1 students at the school. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship courses on the entrepreneurship interest of Abdurrab University students. This study used a quantitative approach and analyzed using the SpSS statistical test. The population in this study amounted to 140 students had entrepreneurship courses at Abdurrab University Pekanbaru. Based on the ANOVA test above, the calculated F value was = 214.058 with df1 =1 and df2 138. Testing the hypothesis by comparing df1 =1 and df2 138. Testing the hypothesis by comparing the F table with df (numerator) = 1 and df (denominator) =138 obtained 3,91 for the 5% and 6 levels 6,78 for the 1% level. Then F count was greater (214.058 >3.01?6.78) than F table so Ha was accepted Ho was rejected. Abstract

Literacy is part of the opportunities and challenges of Islamic banking in Indonesia, Islamic banking literacy needs to be carried out to various segments of society. The level of Islamic financial literacy is low, reaching only 9.14% in 2022. Financial literacy is an intrinsic factor that influences and motivates people to seek information and act based on what they know. Literacy can be used as a tool to further increase public understanding of Islamic banking in an effort to increase the market size of Islamic banks. In 2022, around 65.82 million people or nearly a quarter (24.00%) of Indonesia's population are in the age group between 16-30 years or are referred to as youth. Teenagers as part of Indonesian society become agents of change and have potential in the development of Islamic banks. This community service activity was carried out at the Jami' Ulayat Percut Sei Tuan Mosque. Abstract

The madrasah head is the top leader in an educational institution, and should have one of the competencies, namely entrepreneurial competence which has an impact on improving the quality of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the madrasa head's entrepreneurial spirit on the entrepreneurial spirit of students. This study uses a quantitative approach in causal correlation techniques while the method of data fulfillment is through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Researchers only see and know the relationship between one variable and other variables based on causal relationships or research constellations. The results of this study are based on the results of statistical calculations showing that the probability value is greater than sign 0.05, which means that the entrepreneurial spirit of the madrasah head does not have a significant effect on the entrepreneurial spirit of students, one of the reasons is that there are no operational implementation guidelines on the entrepreneurial competence of madrasah heads. Recommendations from researchers for madrasah heads to make operational guidelines for the implementation of entrepreneurial competencies that rely on regulations that apply in a structured and comprehensive manner, starting from managing entrepreneurial values or spirit as the foundation of entrepreneurship to practical entrepreneurship in an effort to improve the quality of madrasas.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial village as an alternative forum in realizing community welfare through innovation with local resources and potential owned by the village. Business actors in the village are an important element in creating an entrepreneurial village. Start-up entrepreneurs often face the same problems in achieving an established business. The aim of this program is to create established entrepreneurs by strengthening start-up businesses in Genito Village, Magelang Regency. The methods used include outreach and mapping, training and mentoring and expos. The results show that the understanding of start-up entrepreneurs is still at a basic level and has different problems from the mapping results. A forum has been formed in the form of the Sanggar Abyakta to create a pioneering entrepreneurial village. Apart from that, basic management training and assistance, halal certification and marketing have real efforts in strengthening start-up businesses. Expos/exhibitions have an important role in introducing start-up business products. Follow-up is needed regarding information on access to finance and understanding in production capacity in meeting market needs that need to involve other stakeholders.

Abstract

Nowadays, stunting has been a problem that must be addressed by all stakeholders in society, not only relying on the Regional Government, but it is also hoped that they can involve universities in their role through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. With diverse scientific disciplines, universities can apply their knowledge to the community, especially those in rural areas who still have minimal access to information, especially those related to children's health. This Community Service Activity was carried out in the 2023 “Kuliah Kerja Nyata” series, which was held in Pematang Obo Village, Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency, which was carried out for 40 days in collaboration with the Village Government, School and Village Community. By providing information on the Dangers of Stunting, it is hoped that the community will be able to know the symptoms of stunting in their environment, and can carry out preventive activities, so that children under five can have adequate nutrition and in the future will become superior citizens in various fields.

Abstract

Desa Pebaun Hilir merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik. Desa ini memiliki potensi pertanian yang cukup tinggi, salah satu hasil pertanian yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pendorong tumbuhnya tingkat perekonomian yaitu jagung. Jagung (Zea mays L.) merupakan bahan pangan yang banyak ditanam di negara Indonesia dan komoditas pangan yang penting nomor dua setelah padi. Jagung dapat dijadikan olahan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis, salah satunya keripik jagung. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menambah peningkatan ekonomi khususnya sebagai penunjang pendapatan masyarakat dan menjadi daya tarik untuk potensi wisata yang ada di desa. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Senin, 14 Agustus 2023 yang bertempatan di rumah ketua kelompok tani dengan metode yang di gunakan yakni sosialisasi dan demonstrasi kepada anggota kelompok tani. Hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan ide pengembangan potensi jagung untuk membuka peluang peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Pebaun Hilir berbasis UMKM. Jadi, dari kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan menghasilkan perubahan sikap antusiasme terkait potensi jagung sebagai produk olahan, solidaritas dan kekeluargaan serta peluang peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Pebaun Hilir.

Abstract

Kasus yang paling menjadi salah satu prioritas di Kabupaten Bengkalis, berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan, adalah stunting, yang dapat mengakibatkan sejumlah dampak jangka pendek dan panjang, bahkan dapat menjadi masalah bagi perekonomian suatu negara. Kukerta sebagai bentuk Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) . Kukerta Universitas Riau pada Tahun 2023 dengan tema Bangun Kampung, mendorong mahasiswa untuk berkolaborasi dengan Pemerintahan Desa dan bimbingan Dosen Pendamping Lapangan, untuk dapat memetakan dan memberikan solusi. Kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi warga Desa Buluh Manis, yang memberikan dampak adanya sebuah kesadaran dan pemahaman baru bagi warga terkait dengan bahaya dan pentingnya pencegahan kasus stunting bagi balita tidak hanya pada 1000 Hari Pertama Bayi, tetapi juga pada masa kehamilan dengan adanya Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS)
