Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using a web-based virtual laboratory on students' physics problem solving abilities on Sound Waves material. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalen Control Group Design research design. The population in this study were all class XI students at SMAN 6 Mataram. The research sample was obtained using the Purposive Sampling technique, namely XI MIPA 2 with a total of 15 students as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 with a total of 15 students as the control class. The sample in this study was only 15 students because the data that will be taken and used as samples are only students who took part in both activities, namely pre-test and post-test, and the population in this study is approximately 100, so the number of samples that can be taken is at least less than 50% of the population size. The test instrument used is in the form of questions describing problem solving abilities. Before the problem solving ability test instrument is given, a trial of the instrument is first carried out, namely testing validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiability. The results of the analysis show that the average score for the physics problem solving ability of students taught using a web-based virtual laboratory is 68.60 and the average score for students taught without using a web-based virtual laboratory is 52.67. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained a calculated  of 3.92. Because the  obtained is greater than the  value, then  is accepted and  is rejected. These results show the influence of using a web-based virtual laboratory on students' physics problem solving abilities in class XI sound wave material at SMAN 6 Mataram.

Abstract

Physics teachers need to pay more attention to each student's unique way of thinking, strive to recognize and correct misunderstandings, and apply cognitive learning methods such as assimilation and accommodation. The use of cognitive dissonance can be used as a tool to change students' way of thinking. Additionally, it is important to simplify experiments and provide practical exercises that can deepen students' understanding. Teachers must also be able to relate lesson material to real life and understand the role of emotions in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to have teacher self-confidence through self-efficacy. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the condition of educators' self-efficacy in West Kalimantan and its impact on learning. This research is a descriptive research. The population of this research is all physics teachers in West Kalimantan. The sample was selected using probability sampling technique. The number of samples in this study were 100 physics teachers from 13 cities/districts in West Kalimantan. Data collection technique is indirect communication. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, followed by a description of the physics teacher's level of self-efficacy. Based on the research results it was concluded that the average self-efficacy level of physics teachers in West Kalimantan was quite high. The factors measured, namely the efficacy in learning strategies, classroom management, and student involvement all show a good level of self-efficacy. Physics teachers in West Kalimantan demonstrated high efficacy in developing learning strategies and managing classrooms, and had sufficient confidence in engaging students in the learning process.

Abstract

Based on pre-observation results, researchers found that student learning outcomes in electromagnetic induction material were still below the standards set by the school. This is due to the lack of learning media used. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative media that can support learning, namely blog-based learning media. This research aims to determine feasibility according to media experts, feasibility according to material experts, and test students' responses to the media being developed. This research uses Thiagarajan's R&D steps with a 4D model, namely (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but in its implementation in this research it is modified to 3D, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The results of data analysis show that from the media aspect it is categorized as very appropriate with a score of 91%, from the material aspect it is categorized as appropriate with a score of 75% and the results of student responses to the media being developed are categorized as very feasible with a score of 95%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the learning media with the Academic Blog is said to be suitable for use in learning electromagnetic induction material.

Abstract

In this study, a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic simulation will describe a system of glucose and insulin in the human body based on an oral glucose tolerance test with Metformin treatment. This is presented using the oral glucose tolerance test process by adding glucose absorbed function, insulin secretion in the pancreas, and metformin dose. This model can describe the rate of glucose concentration at the same time as Metformin administration. This model applies to subjects with impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes) and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Experimental data are referenced from research that Møller and co-workers have carried out. This model can describe the reduction rate of glucose. This process reduces hepatic glucose production caused by the glucose absorption rate in peripheral tissues. This model also showed that adding a metformin dose could reduce the glucose concentration. The results of the present model show that the value of the deterministic coefficient (R2) has reached above 95%, which means that the results of the present model are good.
