Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between growth opportunities and profitability with cash reserves, with firm size as a moderating variable. This study is motivated by the phenomenon of differences in corporate strategies in managing cash reserves, particularly in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period, which is characterized by high global uncertainty. This study uses a quantitative approach, using a sample of 67 industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019-2024 period based on certain criteria. This data was tested using panel data regression analysis using EViews 13 and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Data analysis shows that growth opportunities have an inverse (negative) and significant relationship with cash holdings. Profitability has a unidirectional (positive) and significant relationship with cash holdings. Meanwhile, company size, which is expected to act as a moderator, has been shown to have no significant impact in strengthening or weakening the relationship between growth opportunities and profitability with cash reserves. In other words, the size of a company does not directly determine how the relationship between these variables is formed

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, board size, and firm size on firm performance, with capital structure serving as the mediating variable. The research focuses on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. The study employs a quantitative method with a causal–explanatory approach. Secondary data were obtained from annual reports of 47 banking firms that met purposive sampling criteria. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression and mediation testing through the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The results reveal that institutional ownership, managerial ownership, and board size have a significant positive effect on firm performance. Capital structure is found to mediate the relationship between these variables and performance, although excessive debt negatively affects Return on Assets (ROA). In addition, firm size positively contributes to enhancing performance. These findings provide practical implications for managers and regulators in formulating governance strategies and optimal capital structures to strengthen firm performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengaruh spiritualitas tempat kerja (WPS) terhadap perilaku kewarganegaraan organisasi (OCB) melalui peran mediasi komitmen organisasi (OC) di antara perawat yang bekerja di Unit Gawat Darurat dan Perawatan Intensif Rumah Sakit Antonius Pontianak . Survei kuantitatif potong lintang dilakukan dengan sampel sensus 92 perawat, menggunakan skala Likert yang tervalidasi untuk mengukur WPS, OC, dan OCB. Data dianalisis menggunakan SmartPLS 4.0 , dengan evaluasi model pengukuran dan struktural, termasuk pengujian mediasi melalui bootstrapping. Berdasarkan Teori Peristiwa Afektif dan Teori Pertukaran Sosial, studi ini mengantisipasi bahwa WPS akan memengaruhi OC dan OCB secara positif, bahwa OC akan meningkatkan OCB, dan bahwa OC akan memediasi sebagian hubungan WPS-OCB. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi secara teoritis dengan memperluas penelitian spiritualitas di tempat kerja ke konteks keperawatan perawatan kritis dan secara praktis dengan memandu para pemimpin rumah sakit dalam mengembangkan lingkungan yang mendukung secara spiritual yang memperkuat komitmen dan perilaku kewarganegaraan perawat untuk meningkatkan kualitas perawatan pasien.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of XYZ Company using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach, which emphasizes four main perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth. The research focuses on employee satisfaction and well-being as key factors in supporting organizational performance improvement. A quantitative research method was applied using a survey with questionnaires distributed to 100 employees. The collected data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests as well as multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that XYZ Company has an overall good performance, with the highest score in the learning and growth perspective (4.3), reflecting excellent employee satisfaction and well-being. The financial (4.1) and customer (4.2) perspectives also showed good results, while the internal process perspective requires further improvement (3.9). Regression analysis revealed that employee satisfaction and well-being have a significant positive effect on company performance, contributing 68%. Therefore, the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard provides a comprehensive overview of organizational performance while highlighting the importance of managing employee well-being as a strategic approach to enhancing long-term competitiveness. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality, brand image, product variety, and store atmosphere on purchasing decisions. The increasing number of people consuming coffee is clearly caused by the habits of modern society who enjoy gathering. Millennials and Gen Z now use coffee shops as places to drink coffee and interact with each other due to the shift in modern lifestyle. This study uses a sample of 100 respondents, namely customers or consumers of coffee shops in Bekasi City. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The testing stages conducted include validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression, partial test (t-test), simultaneous test (f-test), and coefficient of determination test. The results of the study show that product quality, brand image, product variety, and store atmosphere simultaneously influence purchasing decisions. Product quality, brand image, product variety, and store atmosphere partially influence purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work passion on work engagement with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in Generation Z employees who work in coffee shops in Pontianak. This study uses a quantitative approach and purposive sampling techniques in sampling. A total of 160 respondents were sampled in this study, consisting of Generation Z employees aged 18–28 years, with the status of students, and working in coffee shops in Pontianak City. Questionnaires were used to collect data and Structural Equation Modeling based Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used for analysis with the help of the WarpPLS 8.0 test tool. The findings revealed show that work passioni has a positive and significant influence on work engagement and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on work engagement. In addition, job satisfaction is able to mediate the correlation between work passion and work involvement significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and product innovation on purchase decisions of Good Day instant coffee products among Generation Z in Surabaya City. The background of this research is based on the increasing competition in the ready-to-drink beverage industry and the changing consumption behavior of young generations who view coffee not only as a functional need but also as part of their lifestyle. A strong brand image and relevant product innovation are considered capable of enhancing consumer preference and loyalty toward a brand. This research employs a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique involving 100 respondents who are Good Day consumers from Generation Z. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that brand image has a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions, meaning that the better the consumer’s perception of the Good Day brand, the higher the purchase decision. Furthermore, product innovation also has a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions, indicating that the variety of flavors and innovative packaging of Good Day successfully attract consumer interest and strengthen their purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap niat untuk pindah pekerjaan di kalangan pengemudi layanan ride-hailing di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada wilayah Jabodetabek. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, data dikumpulkan dari 120 pengemudi aktif Gojek, Grab, dan Maxim yang telah bekerja minimal enam bulan. Kepuasan kerja diukur melalui dimensi seperti kompensasi, kondisi kerja, hubungan dengan perusahaan, fleksibilitas, dan peluang pengembangan, sementara niat untuk pindah kerja diukur melalui niat pengemudi untuk mencari pekerjaan lain, keinginan untuk berhenti, dan kemungkinan untuk beralih platform. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penelitian valid dan reliabel, dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha di atas 0.80. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan kerja memiliki efek signifikan dan negatif terhadap niat turnover (β = -0.452, p < 0.05), menjelaskan 30,5% varians. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengemudi dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja yang lebih tinggi cenderung tidak akan resign atau beralih platform, sementara ketidakpuasan, terutama terkait pendapatan dan insentif, meningkatkan niat untuk resign. Studi ini berkontribusi pada literatur manajemen sumber daya manusia di ekonomi gig dengan memberikan wawasan kontekstual dari Indonesia dan memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi perusahaan ride-hailing untuk meningkatkan transparansi pendapatan, memperkuat keterlibatan pengemudi, dan merancang program loyalitas untuk mempertahankan pengemudi.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of capital structure on the financial performance of family-owned firms in Indonesia. In addition, it explores the moderating role of ownership concentration. The data were obtained from family firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019–2024 and analyzed using panel data regression with a fixed effects model. Capital structure is measured using the ratios of short-term debt, long-term debt, and total debt to total assets, while financial performance is assessed using ROA and ROE. The results indicate that both short-term and long-term debt have a significant negative effect on ROA and ROE, whereas total debt shows a significantly positive effect on both performance indicators. Ownership concentration moderates these relationships, with effects that either strengthen or weaken the influence of debt depending on the type. Control variables such as firm size and age show no significant impact on performance, while sales growth positively affects ROA only. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining a balanced capital structure and the strategic role of concentrated ownership in enhancing the effectiveness of financial decision-making.

Abstract

There is a decline in store employee performance which is an important concern for the company in maintaining store operational productivity. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and store employee engagement on employee performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique, where all store employees are used as a sample with a total of 46 store employees. Data were obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that compensation has a positive and significant effect on store employee performance and employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance
